Some people are getting this error: Mevo Multicam "Speed HQ NDI inputs not supported...." when trying to connect NDI HX cameras to Multicam. These sources work fine with NewTek software and OBS plug-ins but won't connect to Multicam. Have you seen this and/or have any solutions?
@@JasonHoffmanYT I had a setting on the camera wrong which was outputting full NDI. When is fixed that, iOS Multicam connected, but the video was all green. When I switched the codec on the cam to H.265, the video streamed perfectly.

Wonderful channel. I wish that Logitech would bring over to the Multicam app, the save static shots function from Mevo app. This function is so powerful. I could imagine doing so much with just a few Mevo cameras. The static shots could be saved as scenes. Two camera angles with multiple precise static shots, WOW. Very professional. NDI is great stuff and should be free off the bat. So many such as OBS offer it at no cost. Love NDI and great Logitech is opening up more, more features. I also think if you buy Mevo cameras, they should have free access to the pro features. If outside devices such as phones, etc are used, I could understand the charge for the Pro features. Anyway, our church is very small and trying to be as cost effective as possible. Graduating up to two cameras. I'm debating switching to Multicam app or over to OBS? Love the static shots so much. I was just thinking of a work around for static shots in multicam, add the Mevo as an NDI source in Multicam and control (static shots) with Mevo app on another phone/tablet. Just an idea. Will give a try with Pro trial then pull trigger for subscription. Thanks again

The only trouble I'm having now is adding a win 11 desktop as an NDI input, I receive a message "Unsupported NDI Format. SpeeedHQ input not supported. Something about turning on HEVC or H.264. Maybe I need to download a codec? What do you think Jason?

A comment on the graphic overlays. A lot of people are having a hard time tapping the "three dot" icon to edit an overlay without accidentally activating the graphic. Obviously, this is a problem during a live stream and is exacerbated on smaller screens. I think they need to increase the size of the hot spot around that icon to ensure accurate interactions with the GUI.
@@JasonHoffmanYT Just found feature that I didn't know existed. Instead of tapping the three dots to edit overlays, if you long press a graphic it will bring up the same menu so you don't have to worry about accidentally triggering the overlay. Not sure when this was added, but it solves the issue.

Do I need to download Mevo software on my Mac for this NDI option? And do I need Mevo Pro to do this? I dont use Mevo enough to make subscription worth it Thanks again!
What is your recommendation, to keep it simple, to have a person do a video call in? Would an iphone receiving Facetime or something similar work as a source into the app?
I have this almost to the top of my list. Should work with no problems for FaceTime, Zoom or Skype. But if you have the Mevo Pro subscription to get NDI in to Multicam you also have a Streamlabs subscription which makes it easy to bring in guests for live streams. I’ll have a more definite answer for you in the next week or two.

I dont have first hand experience other than the Obsbot Tail Air and it’s likely going to have to be mounted much closer than you are wanting because of its lack of optical zoom. PTZ Optics has fantastic cameras but are out of my price range. Chameye boasts really good tracking but I havent used one yet.
Would be great to just be able to add video assets from the device running Multicam like you do overlays instead of having to pipe it in from another device. That's a deal breaker if you're trying to create a simple system for laypeople to run in a church service streaming scenario. This would make it so you could have a stream intro video/title credits or segment bumpers that would be a breeze to coordinate. That same pathway would work great for audio clips as well allowing for prerecorded V/Os to be used live.
can the NearStream VM33 be used as an NDI camera? Is there a specifc list of cameras that could be used in NDI mode? Also when are they going to work on allowing the app to be accessible to a PC?
Not yet. They have it on their short range list of additions. The list of streaming cameras (battery powered) with NDI includes Mevo Start and Obsbot Tail AIR. I dont know of others currently out. There are a couple slated for release in ‘24.

Have you tested the range of the cameras when using cell phone as a hotspot and how well they transmit? I want to set up three in a hockey arena for streaming kids games but concerned about the video losing quality or connection due to poor range
I found hotspot to be ‘emergency only’. just not reliable enough to last a whole game. a quick 5-10 minute stream usually ok and very convenient but a couple hours and it will fail. my experience anyway.
Love being able to name graphics, but wish they would develop a “folder” system to keep the graphics organized. One folder for my daughter’s travel softball team, another for her rec league team, and another for my son’s football team, etc.

How deep you jumping? I use pro features on every baseball live stream because I’m bringing in a ‘non-Mevo’ camera. I dont use the multistream feature as much as I though I would (almost never) but the advertisement videos from another device and NDI cameras make the pro sub worth it in my opinion.

I take from what you are saying, that the Pro software will allow the non-Mevo cams that are capable to be used? Money is not the big object here, but I am looking at long term usage due to my grandson's baseball all star and travel team tournaments that I usually cannot attend when they are out of town due to my business. I know other teammate's family members are often in the same situation, and would like to be able to see the games. I have not. Anything HX I’ve ever tried has connected with the Multicam software.

Static shots, when enabled on Multicam, will be game--changing! We use a PTZ cam and two Mevo Starts in Multicam every Sunday. Works great.

you can screencast with NDI tools on MacBook so if the camera is open… I’m thinking yes but I’ll have to double check

Agreed! This is a much requested feature and Mevo has said it is ‘coming soon’.

Use the OUT button next to Live and Record to get everything in Multicam to show on your Mac.
