I’ve never felt I needed more power with my ecoboost Raptor, it’s not a race car but for off and on road it’s more than adequate for everything I’ve ever done in it
I have had my 24 Raptor 3.5L 37 package (same one in this video just white) for 7 months now. It still makes me smile every day, i offroad a decent amount impressed for a stock truck what it can do coming from a tundra built prerunner in the dirt world, its a lot of fun. No complaints on my end I am sure the R is a different beast but it’s my fault and already 160 bucks filling up each time would be worse with the V8 every week if that lol
If you actually take the Raptor off-road, the Ecoboost is already way too powerful. Not sure if the horsepower from the Raptor R is gonna do anything besides making the front heavier. But, of course, most Raptor owners drive their Raptors on the pavement so I suppose V8 is the cool one.
It depends on the type of “off road.” If it’s desert pre-running, which the Raptor was sort of built for instead of rock crawling, you can always use my HP.
I owned a 2022 Raptor, and now I am confused whether to buy a 2024 Raptor or to buy a 2024 F150 xlt of road. v8 5.0leter Your opinion is important to me and I follow the channel. I use it inside the city and sometimes I go to the deserts
@@mousie8660 in summary, if you want a fun truck shell out a bit more and get the Raptor R. Might as well get the big v8 while you still can. If you’re looking just for an everyday truck, just get a regular f-150.

@@987die but…. Smiles per gallon! Lol congrats on your truck, it’s an awesome machine.
Raptor R is competitor of TRX, I disagree 802A and 801A Raptors are not comparable to TRX due to V6

If I recall correctly, ford said 60lbs more weight when the R had 700hp. Now it has 720 same weight, even more fun.

Gen 1 is the bestttt, imo
Ecoboost is tunable and there’s a market for it. Upgrade the turbos, downpipes, tune, FMIC, some corn fuel and that’s all you need.
Ecoboost is enough if you get goosetuned!
My ranger raptor will have 455hp and 536 ft lb torque in a few days and was cheaper (but smaller which I like as I do trails with it)
yes but it will still never be a real raptor
lmao the the RHO guy
RHO is just a whole other level.
Yeah below this one if you want to run dunes
The twin valve suspension alone is superior to the trx/rho
bilsteins have nothing on fox
It’s not out yet so I wouldn’t base judgement on a video. Only time will tell once people start running them
Not much help if the truck is worth buying
