Great dissection Eric, you have my old poor release nailed at a couple areas, but I've been working on it! The one point where you pointed out the hip staying angled really opened my eyes, hadn't been doing that.

Great video Eric, it summed up my static lower half rather well, although I don't really early extend at all. Yet the overall drill will help me for sure. Certainly something I've got to work on through the cold British winter months.

Love your videos and this one is a banger. For me, personally. I've tried everything under the sun and then some to get my hips to clear. And while I would have moments where it would look pretty good on video and the ball flight would be great. It was inconsistent at best. Those moments would be lining up with tour averages of ball specs and in some cases better than the average. Like 90 mph clubhead speed with a 9 iron, tour average is 85. Ultimately, for me, I found I wasn't properly loading my trail hip and my setup was off slightly. Once I started loading into my trail hip properly consistency followed along with speed that I didn't have to work nearly as hard for. Why? Proper leverage. I say all of this because tips are great at helping the symptom but not necessarily the disease. If you want to fix it you have to find the root cause. And this goes for any part of the swing. Again Eric, I love your videos and the tips and drills you put out are top notch.

Impeccable timing Eric! I just started to work on this. Is knee toward target versus toward the ball another thought? By extension then, would improved rotation help to eliminate the chicken wing?

Thanks for the video. Where do you usually find physical restrictions with students who can't get there as efficiently, hips/tspine/si joints/hamstrings? Do you have stretches or mobility exercises for those? What about students who have an issue getting to the lateral bending position at contact.

77 years old limited flexibility open shoulders go with it overtop would a close stance at address help the shoulders from opening
