What's great about this content, is the emotion of personal goals remains the same whatever the level of the golfer. Bryson's goals not obtainable by mere mortals but the miniscule loss of goal.. Same emotions. Really enjoyed that.
While you didn't break the course record you lit it up on the back 9. Great playing at a tough course only made tougher by wind. Great Round!!! Love watching the approach to each shot. Its relaxed but detailed and focused. To many golfers over focus causing tension each shot you hit coming down the stretch was filled with more pressure but your swing and process was relaxed which i think is critical to pulling the shot off and scoring. Kudos from a fellow DFW neighbor.
I love and am in awe of how as soon as Bryson starts racing daylight and just going with the flow of his game he just starts nailing it. Hes a natural pure and simple but the amount of skill he has drilled into himself is insane.
Love the pace on brysons videos perfect balance of chit chat and golf. A lot of golf TH-camrs I feel like have gotten a little full of themselves and there’s too much talking compared to hitting the shots
If I just want to watch guys hitting shots, I'll watch a PGA or LIV tournament. The talking and interaction is 100% what makes TH-cam golf content so good. Maybe it's not for you.
Quick (long) story. I'm 36, took up golf 30 (3 9's plus 3) holes ago, got most of a set for 55 Euro in a charity shop, I'm using a lonaner putter and driver from a friend. I've been hardcore binging your channel, so good for a visual learner! Went to a range and within a 3rd of a bucket it turned into a speed training session, didn't care where it went just wanted to smash the ball. Half a bucket in it was like hitting a beach ball, the ball looked HUGE!! Yeah i hooked a million of them but a lot of those were over the net 100 metres down range, I was gripping too hard but I'm well on the way to fixing it. Went out to my local 9 hole today and hit the centre of 5 fairways, for a raw beginner I'm delighted with that, yeah I have work to do but it was so encouraging man, I can't even explain. Anyway, I was badly in need of a hobby and your videos have been of enormous benefit to me, thank you so much for the content and how open you are about technique and training it's been extremely beneficial even to a total noob. I can't wait for the season to start so I can follow along, best of luck with it and thank you so much for the content, you've made an Irish noob much a much better player quickly!! I hit a ball dead straight last week took my eye off it as I was walking up and lost it in the middle of the fairway... Proceed to hit the next shot so far right it landed between the cows in the field beside me

I already complain when my home course has a par 3 that’s 210 yds over water. I might quit golf or play from the senior tees if they ever decide to tack on another 60 yds lol

Bryson makes golf look so easy and it's not nearly easy. Dude ties the course record and he played his B game in tough conditions on a super tough course. That's why he's an elite pro.
This is a brilliant series, and while I appreciate given your schedule both in, and out of golf, it will likely be difficult, it would be great to see you attempt this challenge with the course record holder playing with you. Just from a comparison stand point, they know the course etc, and likely beat the record with ideal weather, so seeing you play them in a natural environment, unplanned would be great to see!

That was so good you have no idea! East cost golf as the clubs get stiffer, ball flying less, and grass grew longer. To not see this course and go that fast was major champion golf. Only one bogey! Putts that are short never go in. Never ever goes in. Touchy greens, and you putted super great. Under those conditions, anyone else would have scored 71 or higher. If the rough was higher, it's a major championship course 100%! Winning the British open takes ball control and understanding ball roll on hard packed grasses. Never hurts to play the Texas winds. Tom Watson won 5 British opens and at age 60 almost won 6 British opens. In a playoff. You could say Tom is a great wind player. Very nice accomplished round you had! Applauds to the filming crew and audio crew. Nice edits!
I love the way you just blazed around fighting that wind. It normally adds 6-8 strokes to my game. I love playing fast golf. My buddy and I can zip round our club in about 2hrs 20m when we are unimpeded. We play fast ready golf.

When I play with my friends, you're only allowed up to 8 strokes on a Par 4 and 7 strokes on a Par 3. I'll just proudly take my 7 🤷♂️😂
