    Dude. You’re really good at this. You have so many of these where you talk about something from a perspective I’ve never seen before. Not blowing smoke. For me, this is where the understanding happens, when I can see things in several different ways, eventually my brain fits the puzzle together and associates it with my own experience. Never heard someone suggest focusing on the shoulder in relation to the ball, but it kind of locks in the feel of where to be when I’m tilting.
    Here’s the position. Here’s a repeatable way to get to it and feel it. Here’s how you give your brain the feel of moving into it. Killin it and lookin good doin it.
    And the wrist set explanation? Boom. I’m always unsure about what movements to use there. You explained it so easily.

      Dude!!!! Thank you!!! Gotta try and keep the message consistent but give people different ways to visualize, process and feel the movements. Glad this one clicked for you like it did and keep crushing the moves! Great things coming for you in 2025 and beyond.

    Hey Chris, awesome instructional video. The reaching of the club with the right hand coming from underneath is a great feel.

    Well done through the stages but, on the takeaway, LHS HIP SWAYS off the impact wall, which requires repositioning later at transition and downswing. Not recommended in RSS which I try to follow. You eat well, yes?

      Horizontal movement of the pelvis is a real thing that I've covered a number of times on this channel. You can use more of a center pivot "stay on the impact wall" if you desire. If you want to swing the club with less lateral force, have at it. Thanks for liking your own comment as well as your left handed comment about my physique. I wish you the best with your game and hope you have a great weekend.

    I’ve been working on exactly this recently, trying to stop my right shoulder coming round rather than under and through. Thank you for these excellent drills.

    ‘My hips bring my shoulders around!’ The ‘ah ha!’ moment!
    I know that sounds so simple but I’ve always started my take away and follow through with my right shoulder.
    Thank you!

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It’s not simple at all. Especially when moving at high rate of speed. The smaller muscles in the arms and shoulders always want to take over and do more than they should, which generally shuts the entire body system down. Go with what works for you and your DNA. Just make sure you’re producing adequate speed and control and keeping your body safe while doing so. Good luck out there and hit em straight.

      @@MyGolfDNA Chris, I thought I might ask, and pretty sure how'll you answer. An instructor at my club is trying to get me to focus on a spot about 2" in front of the ball. If you make the correct move, you can focus on the back/front of the ball, and the swing will bottom out in front of the ball. Your thoughts ???

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  10 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@williamludwig9460 Sounds like a common drill to get you to focus on releasing the club later. Not my favorite thing to do BUT I have seen it work for some players. I like to get a student to focus on what is determining the low point in the swing arc and then get them to focus on the correct sequence/firing order to fix the root of the problem, more than drills that can get stale and wear off quickly. Hope that makes sense.

    I've been working on more of a body swing where the right shoulder moves down and towards the target and realesing it to simpler positions as you massive improvement ,but the biggest thing was takeing the right thumb of the club at impact, boy do you realese the club with power ,and shots dead straight

    Does this change if your dominant lefty

    • @MyGolfDNA
      @MyGolfDNA  3 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No, not at all. Both arms will need to work independently through the release which is being driven by your ability to move the shoulders as I outline here. You'll want your lead wrist to be the one managing the clubface though:)
