This Kenmore front load washing machine had error code F-21. It was full of water and the pump would not work. The washer failed to drain. It is an easy fix that saved a bunch of money.

You won't believe what I find in the washing machine!
This repair is easy, takes very few tools, and will make your washing machine run faster because the pump filter has gotten clogged. The water was draining VERY slowly (watch for the comparison of flows before and after). If your washing machine is full of water, can help you fix it. The filter is clogged.
This works on the Kenmore washer. There may be similar problems on other brands of washing machine like Maytag, Whirlpool, GE, LG, Samsung, Bosch. leave a comment if you fix a similar problem on one of these brands.

I got a washer from a friend. Im using this to diagnose the priblem. I found coins, a pencil, melted water bottle caps and a retainer lol. No bullets.

Just watched the video, very informative. I have changed out my pump about 1 1/2 years ago. And it worked great! I check the filter every couple of months to make sure nothing is in there. A week ago, I got an error code. Tried a few more times after removing some of the wet clothes. Same code. Today, I checked all of the hoses you demonstrated. Including, taking the drain hose out and forced air thru to see if something was there. There was nothing in any of them, even the filter. Tried the adding water to see if it works yet.
It does not.
So, my question is, what else can I check? Where else could something be hiding to block the water exiting?
There is a sound that kind of sounds like grinding (but not really) can't really pinpoint where the sound is coming from.
Can you help?
Did you ever figure it out? I'm having the same issue. I'm thinking the pump itself is fried, and I really don't want to hunt one down and replace it. I have truly despised this unit ever since I got an error code and had to go to You Tube to figure it out. I discovered that they HID the "Technician's Manual" in that absurdly difficult-to-access mechanical panel so that average folks can't do simple maintenance like filter-cleaning by themselves.
@@pricklypear7516 on a full size washer that would indicate a worn out clutch or drive coupler if not the pump
The filter is doable but the hose bit isn’t for me that’s an engineer job, I’m not confident enough to go any further than the filter.
