Okay. I don’t normally post twice but this video taught me a couple things. 1- an invisible join which I can’t believe I lived without and 2- doing a second round to really ensure that the daisy remains the star of the show. Love this creator and her channel SO much ♥️
You’re too kind 💕 I’m so glad you got something out of the tutorial 🧶👏🏻👏🏻💕
@@PlayHookywithMe thank you! I’ve been using the yarn you recommended in the video- I Love Cotton 4 weight yarn from Hobby Lobby. I’ll keep practicing and watch the video again.
@@fanta4880 keep me posted!
Couldn’t agree more. I love this for gifting on new baby arrivals. ❤
May I know where can I see the diagram itself?
Diagram to follow is good for me. Appreciate your assistance.
I love the look of the zigzag, just seems to fit so beautifully with the daisy pattern.
Thank you 🧶💕
Hi friends, I hope you enjoy the video. As soon as I started trying to record, a huge thunderstorm started, so if you hear funky sounds in the background, that's what it is. 😆 Along with the daisy tutorial, there's a fun zig zag join and border that works really well with this square. I hope you give it a try! xx
I was just thinking I would like to make Afghan to hang on the back of a dark recliner. Thought "play hookey will have something nice"... excited!!!!
@@jenniferdonahue7802 hahaha oh, that’s made my day 😆💕💕😚
I’m definitely making this following this pattern. I am currently doing this afghan from another video and with very slightly different pattern. This video is so much clearer, and explains what to do with the extra yarn where as the other video does not. I have subscribed and look forward to your other videos. Thank you for such a great tutorial..
😊😊
Really great tutorial. Love the block, invisible join and the zip-zag slip stitch join. People like you are what makes TH-cam great. Thanks!
So kind, thank you so much 😀💕
A complete project in one video! Beautiful teacher!!!❤
Thank you for the best video I’ve seen regarding joining granny squares…and you’re and excellent instructor…I’m 79 years old and started crocheting at 12 and you taught me a few tricks. Have a great day!
You’ve made my day, thank you 😀💕
My granddaughter Daisy is playing a hippie in the high school play at the end of April. I'm going to crochet her a daisy square fringy vest to wear with her bellbottoms. I have already taken a pair of her flared jeans and added the fabric triangle to make super bells like I wore. This is the best daisy that I have seen, and I love the zigzag join.
Oh wow, what a lucky girl to have you making that for her! It’s going to be amazing!! If you are on Instagram, please send me a photo when it’s done . I’d love to see her outfit. Good luck and I’m glad you found the video useful!
👏🏻🧶💕
Just when I think I can’t love this channel anymore a tutorial like this comes along. It is perfect as is the instruction. Thanks so much for this and all the other things things you do for the Yarny community. ♥️
Thank you so much, Jean, you’ve made my day 💕🧶💕
I agree, even tho I’ve been crocheting on & off for about 63 years, I’m always happy to learn new things like this zig-zag join & border. Thanks, I’m a fan of your channel.
ps. Love the blue in the first sample. 💕💕💕
This is the first time my puff stitches actually look like puffs and the centre looks like a flower 🌸I love the zig zag join and edging. Thank you so much for posting this video ❤
That’s fantastic! So glad you enjoyed the pattern 💕
I've never seen a zig zag. It's gorgeous. Can't wait to try it out. Thank you!❤️❤️
Oh this is toooooooo easy!!! First off love the name of your channel! Very creative. I made a square and was waiting for the hard part to start, there wasn't any!!! Oh my goodness. I think I can do that zig zag stitch to join them. So you taught an old gal a new trick! never to old to learn! 72 and still going strong. Thank you so much for this. I have to finish 3 sweaters I have going and that won't take much and then the blanket. May blessing to you my friend!
Thank you so much for your kind words - good luck with your sweaters! 🤩😍
My Mum,( I'm a Brit married an American living in USA) taught me to crotchet when I was 6. Like fine wine, I have aged ! I'm just picking it up after 50 years to make things for my soon to be born granddaughter.
I have suprised myself but pattern reading skills are gone though currently. Probably because I cant remember the names of the stitches.
I stumbled upon your video it is AMAZING teaching, so clear.
I subscribed. TYFS this tutorial. You even make the dreaded Magic ring look possible.
I just put the slip knot on the hook to work along with you.😘
Hugs, Kate in New York
I’m so glad the videos are helping!
Guess what , I’m Brit American. My mum is from St. Albans and my dad is from Florida . 😆😆😆
💕💕💕💕
@PlayHookywithMe get outta here !!!! I'm from Cambridge. Lived in Bishops Stortford for a while. The crotchet pressure is on now not to let Hertfordshire down 🇬🇧🤣😘
@@madhattersoriginal6258 ahhhh , one of my favorite spots!!! Go #teamherdfordshire, we can do it!! 😆💕🙌🏻

I have not seen this zig-zag join or the border before, but I am putting this blanket on my project to do list! It is great!
It has become one of my favorites! 😀🙌🏻💕
I love the zig zag interest created by the join. I think as well as the extra round it complements the daisies perfectly. Instead of the seam being a detraction it becomes an added attraction
Brilliant thank you ❤
Just love the daisy, my favorite flowers and love your zigzag thank you 😊
I watched several videos on how to join my Daisy granny squares. Thank you so much for your easy to follow instructions for zigzag backstitch idea which I love❤️
Glad it was helpful!❤️
You've inspired me to finish my WIP that's been siting for years just waiting for that perfect finishing touch! Wonderful way to join all those blocks . TY!
So glad ! 😀💕
This video is just what I wanted, I have crocheted several squares for a cot blanket and this technique will be ideal to join them together, even the edging is super so thank you for helping me decide on how to finish my blanket, take care, stay well and again many thanks.
Awesome sauce! I’m so glad it helped you find a join to use! I’m really in love with it, it’s my new favorite, I think 🧶💕
Can’t wait to use this zig zag join in crazy granny quilt I’m making. Thank you!
I used these joining and border techniques for an Afghan that I was working on when I first saw this video. They were the perfect way to finish my long, complicated project. I was amazed at how relatively easy they were to do. They are now a permanent part of my crochet 'tool set'. (Your teaching techniques are also excellent.) Thank you so much!
That’s awesome!! I’m so glad it worked out well for you 😀💕
Love the daisy stitch and the perfect corners when joined together Thank you , Will continue to follow tutorials,.
Thanks for making the invisible join so easy. Plan on trying the zigzag border on my practice blocks.
I never learned the invisible join…it is beautiful! Thank you!
I have watched so many joining videos and this was by far the easiest for my brain to process! Thank you for sharing 😊
So glad it helped 😀❤️

Thank you so much, Lisa 🧶❤️
I’ll have to add this to the list! Thank you for always showing so clearly and explaining each step. You are generous to teach and share. Your videos are always inspiring! 😊
Thank you so much, Vicki! 🧶 💗
My question is how mano squares is take to do a big big blanket marta
@@martat0rrestorres539 each square is 4.5 inches so I would recommend that you find the measurements of the blanket size you want to make and then determine how many squares you need by that. If you need help, just let me know the measurements of the blanket you want to make .

@@PlayHookywithMe thank you!
