So some of my granny squares have 13 petals and not 12. Should I redo all the ones that have 13 petals or is there. Way to salvage these without redoing them all? Hey just was wondering; I haven't tried out the pattern yet but I'm wondering if I could work 4 dcs instead of 3 for the daisy petals? I love this design but I would probably prefer the petals looking fuller.
That sounds like a great idea! Using 4 treble crochet togehter instead of 3 for the daisy petals will definitely give them a fuller look. I’d love to hear how it turns out if you give it a try! Happy crafting! 🌼💖
Thank you so much for subscribing! 🥰 I’m really glad you found the tutorial easy to follow. Welcome to the community, and if you have any questions or topics you’d like to see, just let me know! 😊💖
Any tips for how to do this with a magic ring instead of the chain method? I am finding I have trouble tightening the hole in the middle for patterns unless I do a magic ring
Absolutely! Using a magic ring is a great way to start! Just make the ring as you normally would, then crochet your first round directly into the ring. When you're done, pull the tail to tighten it. Practice a few times to get the hang of it, and you’ll find it gets easier! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask! 😊✨
So darling. I just finished one. So cute. I want this to make plant vase holder. The neighbors are drooling of jealousy when walk by my little garden that dazzles with these daisies. Oh God, I love daisies.
That sounds absolutely adorable! I love that you’re using it as a plant vase holder-what a creative idea! It’s great to hear your garden is making such an impression on your neighbors. Daisies are such a cheerful flower! 🌼💖
You are the first person the used the trebbel crochet in a corner space, where others just do double crochet, thank you for sharing you talent with us.
It sounds like you're really close! Double-check your stitch count and ensure you're starting and ending in the right places. Sometimes, an extra stitch can sneak in. If you still have trouble, let me know, and I'll try to help you figure it out. Keep going-you've got this! 😊
Thank you so much for your kind words🥰 I'm thrilled to hear that you found the video helpful, especially as a beginner! Crochet tutorials that are easy to follow can make all the difference when you're just starting out. If you ever have questions or need further guidance, don't hesitate to reach out. It is completely normal for the first few squares to look a bit wonky. Practice makes perfect, and each square will look a bit better every time. When they are all done you can block the squares to make them more neat and even. Best of luck with your project🥰
Great question! For a daisy granny square throw, the amount of yarn will depend on the size of your throw and squares, but here’s a general guide: Yellow (center): 1-2 skeins should be enough, since it’s just a small part of each square. White (petals): 3-4 skeins, as the petals are a larger section. Green (border): 6-8 skeins, depending on how large the border is and how many squares you're making. It’s always good to have an extra skein on hand, just in case! 😊
Just finished making one of this pattern! Your instructions are very clear and concise, as a beginner I never had a hard time understanding your tutorial. Thank you and looking forward for more! ♥
You have done very well but some of the instructions were missing in the start which made me do the second round again …. I still appreciate your efforts . ❤❤❤
You're very welcome! I'm so glad to hear that you're finding the tutorial easy to follow. Making a baby blanket from squares sounds wonderful! If you have any questions or need further assistance as you continue, feel free to reach out. Happy crafting! 😊🧶
Hi! I'm new to crochet, and I just received all the materials I need. I'm really excited to learn and want to make a blanket. So I wanted to ask for your opinion-should I start by learning the basics, like what a single crochet or double crochet is, or can I jump straight into watching granny square tutorials?
Hi! It’s wonderful to hear you’re excited to start crocheting! I recommend starting with the basics, like single and double crochet, as they are the foundation for many patterns, including granny squares. Once you feel comfortable with those stitches, you can dive into the granny square tutorials. This way, you’ll have a solid understanding, and it’ll make the learning process even more enjoyable. Happy crafting, and have fun! 🧶✨
I just started a new sweater, and I chose to use these granny squares. Since I am horrible at color changes (and they take forever to hide), I am using one color for the entire granny square. Thank you for the amazing tutorial :]
That sounds like a great plan for your sweater! Using a single color for the entire granny square can simplify the process and make it more enjoyable. I’m so glad the tutorial was helpful for you. Best of luck with your sweater project-it's going to turn out fantastic! 😊🧥🌟
This was so simple to follow! Came here from another tutorial showing the same pattern in like 6 min, and without describing the name of each stitch. it was impossible to follow along
Why you do 3 chains and treble on the first corner, 3rd row, and 2 chains and double crochet on the other corners? Where are the increases. They are on the chains on the corners or it's the double crochets inside corners that make the increases?
You're so welcome! ❤️ I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with COVID-19, but I'm truly glad you're feeling ready to pick up crochet again. It’s amazing that you used to lead a knit and crochet group-that's such a special gift to share with others. Take your time, and I’m sure it will come back to you! If my tutorial can help in any way, that makes me so happy. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need any help along the way. You've got this! 🌸😊
Thank you so much for your lovely words! 🥰 I'm really glad to hear that you found the instructions clear and easy to follow. Your support means a lot! ❤️ If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
I tried this tutorial without seeing the full videoo and made granny circles😂😂but anyway nice tutorial sooo easy to follow along and one advice for future makers don’t be like me
I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial, even with the granny circles mix-up! 😂😂 It’s great to hear that you found it easy to follow. Thanks for the advice for future makers-everyone learns by trying, and sometimes those little mistakes turn into fun discoveries. If you need any more help or have questions, just let me know! 🌟😊
I’m not getting 12 dc I’m getting 9. This is only my second project so I’m very new. Will this affect the outcome? I believe it’s because I’m using a bigger hook.
It’s great that you’re tackling new projects! If you’re getting fewer double crochets than the pattern calls for, it will definitely affect the outcome. Make sure to count your stitches in each round to see if you’re missing any. Sometimes adding a stitch marker can help keep track. Keep going, and don’t hesitate to ask if you need more help! 😊🧶
I'm glad you loved the video! Adding a 5th round to your granny square is a great idea for your blanket. Here's how you can do it: 3 Dc in every ch space of the sides of the square. In every corner space make 3 dc. ch 2 and 3 dc.
Hello, thank you for the great tutorial! I have a question about the yellow part - I've finished the yellow part but I have two strings coming off it, one from the middle where I started and one that I cut and tied off at the end. How do I get rid of the middle one as you have done in your video? Thanks!
I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful! To get rid of the middle string, also known as the starting yarn tail, you can weave it into the stitches of the yellow part using a yarn needle. Here's what you can do: Thread the starting yarn tail onto a yarn needle. Carefully weave the needle through the stitches on the backside of the yellow part, following the path of the yarn and being mindful not to pull too tightly to avoid distorting the fabric. Weave the yarn tail for a few inches, ensuring it's secure and won't come loose. Trim any excess yarn, leaving a small tail to prevent unraveling. By weaving in the starting yarn tail, you'll hide it within the stitches, giving your project a cleaner finish. If you need further clarification or assistance, feel free to ask! Happy crocheting!
I saw a lot of tutorials and no one worked for my, BUT THIS!! I succeeded in crocheting for the first time with your video, even with a regular level of english haha, thank youuu ❤

Yes, a daisy granny square can be quite suitable for a blanket even when the weather is a bit cold! 🌼🧶 The blanket's warmth will depend on the yarn you use and how densely you join the squares. To make sure it’s cozy enough for cooler weather, consider these tips: Choose a Warm Yarn: wool, or a blend that provides warmth and comfort. Consider Layering: You could also layer the blanket with a soft lining or backing for extra warmth if needed. With these adjustments, your daisy granny square blanket can be both beautiful and functional for cooler weather. Happy crocheting! 😊🧣
I’m a complete beginner, but I did it too ! It took me one hour for a square, but it was so satisfying. Can’t wait to watch other tutorials ! TY kindly ♥️

Just finished my first granny square and it looks so cute! I noticed you say treble crochet for both the corner stitches and the petal stitches however they seem slightly different. Is that a different variation or do they have different names?
Absolute beginner here and while mine isn't as neat as yours, it still resembles it!! I think my tension and choice of wool have a lot to do with it. Definite new follower! ❤
That’s fantastic to hear, especially as an absolute beginner! 😊 Don’t worry about perfection-what matters is that you’re creating and learning. Tension and yarn choice can definitely affect the outcome, but with practice, you’ll see improvement. I’m thrilled to have you as a new follower-welcome! ❤🧶
You're doing great! 🥰Starting something new like crochet can be a journey, but it sounds like you're making fantastic progress. I'm glad the tutorials were helpful for you. If you ever have any questions or need more guidance as you continue your crochet journey, feel free to ask. Keep up the fantastic work!
Certainly! To adjust the size of the daisy granny square to approximately 15 by 15 cm, you'll need to modify the number of rounds and/or stitches. Here's how you can do it: Increase the Number of Rounds: You can add more rounds to the daisy granny square to make it larger. Each additional round will add approximately 2-3 cm to the square's size, depending on your tension and yarn weight. Calculate the Size: Crochet a few rounds following the pattern, then measure the size of your square. Determine how many more rounds you need to add to reach the desired 15 by 15 cm size. Experiment: Crochet a few extra rounds, then measure your square again to see if it's approaching the desired size. Adjust the stitch counts as needed to ensure the square remains square and doesn't become too distorted. Remember to keep track of your stitch counts and rounds as you work to maintain consistency across all your squares. Additionally, you may need to adjust your hook size or yarn weight if you find that your squares are coming out too large or too small. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further assistance as you adjust the size of your daisy granny square. Happy crocheting! 🌼🧶
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! 😊❤ Adding a border in a different color sounds like a beautiful idea! To do that, you can start by attaching your new yarn in any corner of the square, then work single crochets, half-double crochets, or double crochets all around, depending on the look you want. Be sure to add a couple of extra stitches (like 2-3) in each corner to keep it from curling. If you need more detailed steps, feel free to ask! Happy crocheting! 🌸✨
That’s awesome to hear!🥰 I’m excited for you to start your blanket project. Thank you so much for subscribing-I’m glad you found the video helpful! If you have any questions along the way, don’t hesitate to reach out. Happy crafting! 😊🧶
Hello, do you have a tutorial video on what yarn to choose? It not like knitting obviously. I get confused what to get and needle to use. New to crochet. Thank you. I will try this granny square. ❤
Hello! 😊 Welcome to the world of crochet! Choosing yarn for crochet can be fun but also a bit overwhelming at first. For beginners, I recommend starting with a medium-weight yarn (also known as worsted or aran weight) as it's versatile and easy to work with. As for the needle, in crochet, it's called a hook. For a medium-weight yarn, a G or H hook is a good starting point. The yarn label usually suggests a recommended hook size, so you can check that as well. If you're ever in doubt, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting, and enjoy creating your granny square! ❤🧶
Thank you Marie, yet another super cute daisy pattern. I just love the petals made of trebles! So fun and puffy! I start my work with a standing stich and I like it. Do you use it sometimes ?
You're very welcome! 😊 I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the tutorial. Starting your work with a standing stitch is a great technique for achieving a seamless and polished look in your crochet projects. I do not personally use it, but maybe i should practice it more😊 Happy crafting! 🌼💕
Thank you for your kind words! I’m so glad to hear you found it clear and relaxing to watch. That means a lot to me! If you have any questions or need help with anything, just let me know. Happy crafting! 🌼❤️✨

Hi! I want to create a throw blanket using a bunch of this square but i would like to make them bigger. Is there a way to do so? I was thinking about doubling the number of stitches in each round but i don't know if that could work
Absolutely, you can adjust the size of your squares by increasing the number of stitches in each round! or you can just use some thicker yarn and hooksize. Once you're happy with the size of your squares, you can crochet as many as you need to create your throw blanket. Best of luck with your project🥰
You’re welcome! I’m glad you found it nice and clear. 😊 If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask. Happy crocheting! 🧶✨

Do you have a video on how to put the squares together?
Yes I do🥰 But I see that ypu already found it. Best of luck with your project❤😊
I keep making 13 peddles. I have tried 3 times now and cant figure out why I keep making 13 when you only have 12

I’ve made over 20 and they still look wonky 🫣🤪🤣
It might be your tension, try using a bigger or smaller hook size and see what looks better
@@KristianaWThey probably just need to be blocked. There’s tons of quick tutorials on TH-cam on how to block.
How many skeins of each color are needed for a throw in worsted weight ?
Great question! For a daisy granny square throw, the amount of yarn will depend on the size of your throw and squares, but here’s a general guide:
Yellow (center): 1-2 skeins should be enough, since it’s just a small part of each square.
White (petals): 3-4 skeins, as the petals are a larger section.
Green (border): 6-8 skeins, depending on how large the border is and how many squares you're making.
It’s always good to have an extra skein on hand, just in case! 😊
❤❤❤Beautiful! Thanks huges from italy
Thank you so much 🥰 You are very welcome. A big back to you in Italy🇮🇹

How much of each yarn do I need for this tote?
Hi 😊 I do not have it on the top of my head, but I do mention this in the video on the daisy Totebag. Best of luck with your project❤️
Thank you soooooooo much for explaining this slowly step by step!!!🙏💙💙💙💙
You are very welcome 🥰 Im so glad to hear that you enjoyed the tutorial. ❤️🧶
thank you so much so helpful
I'm so glad to hear that the video was helpful. Best of luck with your project🥰
This was so simple to follow! Came here from another tutorial showing the same pattern in like 6 min, and without describing the name of each stitch. it was impossible to follow along
Thank you so much for your positive feedback. Im so glad to hear that you found the tutorial easy to follow🥰❤️
Why you do 3 chains and treble on the first corner, 3rd row, and 2 chains and double crochet on the other corners? Where are the increases. They are on the chains on the corners or it's the double crochets inside corners that make the increases?
Excelente tu trabajo!!!

You're so welcome! ❤️ I'm so sorry to hear about your experience with COVID-19, but I'm truly glad you're feeling ready to pick up crochet again.
I’m King getting seven😂🎉😢😮😅😊❤
Love this vid!
How would i add a 5th round? The blanket im currently making has 5 rounds per square! Tysm in advance ❤
I'm glad you loved the video! Adding a 5th round to your granny square is a great idea for your blanket. Here's how you can do it:
3 Dc in every ch space of the sides of the square. In every corner space make 3 dc. ch 2 and 3 dc.
These instructions are perfect! I am making my first chicky with you now! I cant wait to see my finished product! ❤
That’s amazing! I’m so excited for you to make your first chicky! If you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask. Happy crafting! 🐥❤️✨
Here's what you can do:
Thread the starting yarn tail onto a yarn needle.

Is it suitable for use when the weather is a little cold when I make a blanket like this?
Yes, a daisy granny square can be quite suitable for a blanket even when the weather is a bit cold! 🌼🧶 The blanket's warmth will depend on the yarn you use and how densely you join the squares.
To make sure it’s cozy enough for cooler weather, consider these tips:
Choose a Warm Yarn: wool, or a blend that provides warmth and comfort.

Just finished my first granny square and it looks so cute! I noticed you say treble crochet for both the corner stitches and the petal stitches however they seem slightly different. Is that a different variation or do they have different names?
That´s wonderful to hear! Great job🥰 In the petals I crochet 3 trebles together. In the corners of orund three i just make regular treble crochets. 😊
Ty so much I was able to make this! This is such a beautiful pattern! 🥰❤❤❤

i started about a week ago and dont know much crochet but I did it tysm for the tutorials
Can we increase the measures and make it 15 by 15......can you please show how it's done
Certainly! To adjust the size of the daisy granny square to approximately 15 by 15 cm, you'll need to modify the number of rounds and/or stitches. Here's how you can do it:
Increase the Number of Rounds: You can add more rounds to the daisy granny square to make it larger.
This video was so so helpful!❤ I would love to add a border in a different color, any tips on how to do that?
I'm so glad you found the video helpful! 😊❤ Adding a border in a different color sounds like a beautiful idea! To do that, you can start by attaching your new yarn in any corner of the square, then work single crochets, half-double crochets, or double crochets all around, depending on the look you want. Be sure to add a couple of extra stitches (like 2-3) in each corner to keep it from curling. If you need more detailed steps, feel free to ask! Happy crocheting! 🌸✨

Thank youu

Thank you Marie, yet another super cute daisy pattern.
I just love the petals made of trebles! So fun and puffy! I start my work with a standing stich and I like it. Do you use it sometimes ?
You're very welcome! 😊 I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the tutorial. Starting your work with a standing stitch is a great technique for achieving a seamless and polished look in your crochet projects. I do not personally use it, but maybe i should practice it more😊
