Youre the first person ive found on TH-cam trying to solve this problem. I found a kawasaki forum where some people were talking about ditching the whole sending unit. The only thing they kept was the metal base that the pump sits in- the part that bolts inside the fuel tank using five bolts. Then they run that to a combination filter/regulator unit (58 psi) from a fifth gen corvette which fed the fuel line. Im doing the same thing except im keeping my stock punp. Wish i would have thought to just drill the old housing like you did so i could use my stock regulator. Mines a 2005 zx10r and the sending unit is nearly identical to your bike.
Hello, Thanks a lot for the video it was really helpful. I was able to pull the pump apart and get to the fuel filter and replaced it, I am just not sure about this part where you were drilling a whole and trying to make an external filter. I don’t see that you actually put any external fuel filter I figured you drilled a whole but it’s also not visible where should the drill come out. Can you be able to post a video or just answer my comment and clarify this part a little bit more? Thanks a lot however
