    Chuck, don't get so negative. The world is not such a bad place if you only circulate amongst good people. Try and avoid the TV as they will only tell you bad news anyway. You are lucky that you have all those skills and the equipment to use them. I enjoy my farm shed and all the things I can do in it also. You are luckier than a lot of people anyway in that regard, as I am, so compliment yourself on a job well done.. Keep up the good work, I really enjoy watching your work and missed you when you were not around for a while.
    Cheers from Australia.

    Damm stretch, who hurt you? I miss that bright-eyed kid with all that positivity and enthusiasm. It was a fun trip down memory lane, thanks for reviving this video.

      You know that's something I've always wondered about...
      like did he discover p**n hub for the first time or something? & it blew his innocent little mind?
      I've always loved his content none the less, but it really struck me as weird how he reacted.

    Yep... It's the "Younger Stretch" who taught me how to weld. My 12 X 5 "utility trailer" has two boat trailer axles and splits/lifts in the middle with a handle, crank and screw mechanism. So fun. I love my trailer. Built in the 1960/s and has taken a bunch of my welding for new spring sets and reinforcing/adjustments for the fairly long hitch setup. All good. Thanks so much for the review and intro from the "Older Stretch." Oh yea !

    16:20 …. That’s exactly how I described some trailers I’ve been working on. I just recently got into this type work from working on vehicles for 27 years and I was shocked at how trailers were built!

    nothing worng wiht being postive looks like a decent trailer to me.. you live and learn but it is true the quality of products sold nowadays arent like they used ot be and it sucks seeing it and others dont or they turn a blnd eye to it like younger generations. even in grocery stores they charge you more for things and give you less..but this trailer looks ok but ill keep that in mind aboutt eh axle they are expensive. i think id just go to the scrapyard and grab one there a heavy duty one ..id build one mainly to ahul an atv around its a 660 thats if i ever built one...trailers around here can be quite expensive ever since covid eveyrhting has doubled its ridiculous..but id like to know where ot get all that angle iron..i have a few bedframes but i dont think thatd hold up.. and my welder would only be used in a 110 setting as i dont have the 220 plug outlet not sure thatd matter but an atv is quite heavy.

    What size angle iron did you use for the main frame?

    • @ivanbg5167
      @ivanbg5167 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I guess I will have to guess on this one. Frame and cross members :2 inch x 2 inch x 3/16 inch angle.

  • @Room1sixtyfive

    You used angle iron to build the frame of a trailer?, nah but thanks.

    Hello fom Serbia. I want to ask you something, and sorry for my bad English. How heavy log you can put on this trailer? I want to make one just like this, for fruits. Please, answer.... Thanks

    • @ivanbg5167
      @ivanbg5167 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Axle is 3500 lbs or roughly 1580 kg. I would say minus the weight of the trailer and no trailer brakes, I wouldn’t put more than 2000 lbs or 1000 kg of logs.
