In this video we make tracks for a mini skid steer loader. We have wanted to do this project for a very long time. The tracks were bought at the beginning of 2020😅 and we finally got around to it.
Building such a vehicle is very expensive and time-consuming, so we decided to divide it a bit.
The hydrostatic gearbox comes from a zero turn lawn mower.
The tracks and drive wheels are the same as those on the Kubota U10 excavator
Unfortunately, there was no other way to do the test, so we only used a drill.

For many years, I worked on earthmoving machines, but this achievement is completely, different. The Master Craftsman deserves all admiration, and standing ovation.
From one steel fabricator to another, nice work👍👨🏭
I can weld, yes. But, YOU CAN WELD!!!! Man you know what you are doing! Zero prep welds everywhere. Hats off to you! I'd die to have all these machines to cut metal with. Must be so nice to have precise cuts at accurate angles. Subscribed.
I’ve always loved those magnetic drill presses, they’re so versatile
I love your designs and building style, so happy to finally see how you approach building this mechanism! Thank you sir
Mistrzostwo jak zwykle, bez zbędnego gadania robisz mega robotę i zaje... mi się to podoba. Pozdrowienia z Pienin.
Yep... I need to get a magnetic drill press.
Made that look easy.
Golden hands and a bright head!
Part two will be great as well. Thank you! 👍💪✌
Dude, got yourself a nice plasma CNC. Sweet. Makes the job a little easier. Cheers! Great video.
bravo , superbe realisation, vivement la suite
Undoubtedly one of the most talented fabricators on TH-cam... well done Poland...
Next to Ethan at grind hard lol
@@tshupp72Ethan is great , his tube work and design ability is excellent, he just has to stop making toys all the time.
HOLY SCHMOLY!!!!!!!! This thing is gonna be A BEAST!!!!!! WOW!!!!
One thing: that small 'triangular' piece you needed to add so the underside of the track would clear the frame ( the piece @ 25:10 ) - don't you think it is going to cut into the track once you have tension on the track from it moving around?? even if you chamfer all it's edges, it WILL dig into the track when it's moving... IMHO you REALLY should change that into a wheel... yes it's more work but if you add it then you KNOW it's not going to dig into the track and slice it up from underneath where you won't easily see it... ALSO won't driving in reverse possibly catch on the small area of that triangle??? Maybe a wheel isn't the answer... MAYBE if you round the two top corners of the triangle AND a deep chamfer all around the top is all you need... 🤷♂
- - As I think about this more and more, and I look through the video, I'm starting to think that maybe I'm being overly 'dramatic' about it digging into/slicing the track and you've already thought this out and it will be JUST FINE... lol - YOU ARE THE MECHINICAL GENIUS, I'M JUST A COMPUTER NERD!!! LMAO!!!
- ANYWAY.... GREAT WORK!!! I a=cannot WAIT to see what this transforms into... you come up the some of the most UNIQUE CREATIONS!!! And THANK YOU for taking us along for the ride!!! :)
It will cut, for that purpose there are warable pads that are mounted on frame of track and they "ride" on top of ridges rather than on bottom, where drive sprocket and tensioner wheel rides.
Mate, that’s one heavy duty build. Great to see. It’s not going to fail because of lack of engineering. Going to need a good torque motor to run it.
I learn very much when I see yours vids ! Thank you for share !!!
Great work. Can't wait for future installments.
Nice work Bro. As always.
Thanks man👍😉
Nice. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of this project. Thanks for sharing.
Good job mister beautifully done
This is the start of something very interesting! I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with when it's all said and done. Than you for taking time to build, film, edit and post this video.
Świetna robota gratulacje pomysłu i wykonania 👍
A little tip - strap the mag drill to the work there's a little slit between the magnet and the body of the drill for the strap trust me you don't want a helicopter spinning on your floor I popped all my electrics when I done it 😬
Ich finde es klasse was du da baust, da ich immer noch was lerne.
Gruss HP
That looks amazing.very well made. I would certainly be calling on you as the master engineers. 😊
FINALLY!!!!
Someone who can weld. How refreshing.
Pretty cool! Hopefully the mower unit can hold up. Can't wait to see. Been working on something like that in my head for a bit. You did a nice job on it. Can't wait to see the power unit too. Thanks!
Transmission is always the problem when building something like this. Issue is having to buy whole working zero turn mover that least around here is 1K on it self regardless of condition and i'm almost certain that its transmission wont hold if you go off roading with it. Might hold nicely on the yard for light work like snowblower type of thing, but why would you make tracked vehicle on the yard when spiked tires or chains deliver same traction cheaper with less wear on expensive parts. Those tracks alone are really expensive.
I love watching this stuff.
Something tells me the finished product is going to be amazing-why would I expect anything else from this channel. Well done and a 👍 as always. God bless.
Btw; have you ever considered a collaboration series with "Workshop From Scratch?" That would be an amazing series imo.
Saubere Arbeit und erstklassige Ausrüstung ❤
Very cool and well made...as always. Anxious for the next chapter in the story.
Incredible fabrication skills!
Nice job, enjoyed your video.
Look into seals for abrasive and dirty environments. Metal face seals is one example but there are also multi-labrynth rubber seals that have their own metal casings. Plain sealed or shielded bearings won't last long in dirt, which would be a pity for such a cool project.
Looks amazing mate keep it up and dont listen to people who are saying its build to heavy build it right the first time 💪 so you dont have to fixed it every week
one of the things i appreciate most about your vids is that ive yet to see you welding without long sleeves, gloves, and your welding mask. Too many guys out here giving themselves skin cancer
It's really very helpful in your busy daily life, friend
Can't wait to see what's next! Love this build!🙂
Zahebista robota panie majster👏💪
Super, I look forward to seeing what you make!
SUCH A GREAT BUILD. I have been wondering why I had not seen any one use a zero turn transmission for a diy tracked vehicle
Unfortunately they don’t have enough torque. He will find out in short order when it comes time to take a scoop of dirt that they don’t have the power required to do the job. But that part is easily changed out and you gotta start somewhere. A real orbital motor with a built in planetary is the way to go. You can get the out of places like “surplus center” and the like.
@@Mad.Man.Marine I thought the same thing, although I don't think the fix is very simple. IMO it will take converting to a dedicated pump system to drive wheel motors to RELIABLY make this more than a conversation piece.
WoW, CNC plasma Carter. I think You must be a real engineer or You are a visionary. Greetings from Cracow :)
Very durable built, cant wait to the next one!!
increadible work wow awesome
You ought to put a top roller of some sort, the steel plate will carve the middle of the track really fast.
the tracks have forged elements that are harder than structural steel. no worries.
@@MadeinPolandChannel never knew that, thanks, keep up the good work.
@@MadeinPolandChannelthen why bother with the rollers on the bottom?
You and I both know, that you need to either replace that guide with a roller or put in a larger OD front roller.
Nice build otherwise though!
Now that's a unicycle!! 💞
as usuall beautiful work. that transmission though...will be interesting to how long it lasts. the 0 turn mower has less surface area on the tires, tracks have alot of surface area, and they are heavy. if it works though, i wanna do similiar to my crosskart, except 50 to 60 mph speed, a smaller version of Ripsaw ev4.
I think they'll make it. The track drive wheels are smaller than the original ones, so the gearbox will be slower but stronger 😉
Many large farm tractors use hydrostatic drive transmissons. Sized to fit the application. It should be fine.

for as heavy as this will be, the rubber on the rollers may rub right off. This is cool. I cant wait to see what success and failures it will have to learn from.
Bro, you are on another level. Amazing as always.
Bonne continuation.

Ciekawy pomysł i trudny w realizacji ale widać sukces
Just watched AntsPants use one of those mag drills. Nice little units for that kind of boring. Great video.

Très bon travail.👍👍👍👍👍
Gran trabajo!!!!🎉🎉🎉
Another great project coming, always is cool watch your videos, greetings from San Diego,ca,👍🏻
Amazing machine work. But that little hydrostatic unit out of a zero steer lawn mower is going to last all of 30 minutes. You should go ahead and invest in two hydraulic motors and a good 15 to 20 gal a minute tandem pump. Then you'll have a badass little skid steer
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 saludos desde México 🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽
Genius
Nice Build, good Idea!!!
Great Skills !!!
Super, dałbym tylko nakrętki kontrujące do tych napinaczy bo pewnie będą się samoistnie luzować
Parabéns !
I wish I could spend some time learning all this from you.
Me too!
Looks like some little kid is getting the toy of a lifetime.
Lucia and now you are on track. 😁
Looks fantastic and show that quiet a bit of engineering went into the design. You are correct in concentrating mass, low as possible. No one wants a tippy track loader. 😉
Keep all units out side to reduce noice, hoses pressure hoses, air conditioning, skid plate light metal, zero snow or water, cooling, rads as cars too cool , the fan speeds air equipment legitimately means playing with an unaltered game client downloads and more than a pilgrimage to be here, john.
very good thank you very much
I was wondering where did you get so nice transmissions :D Zero turm mower it is.
Very well crafted! I'm looking forward to seeing the finished machine!
As always great work my friend😉
It looks more like building a mini tank. To bardziej wygląda na budowę mini czołgu.😄
Good job
Wcześniej czy później to musiał być czołg :)
wonderful job
Clever lad. This looks interesting. One thing is his welding skills need improvement, very little penetration needs to up the power for that thickness of plate and pay attention to the edge preparation. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
25:15 Is that guide angle not going to create/cause wear problems with the rubber track? Would a small roller not suffice instead?
Awesome work!
Good job man! Every time good job, nice to see your videos! 😊
_A bogie ... (or truck in North American English) is a chassis or framework that carries a _*_wheelset, attached to a vehicle_*_ - a _*_modular subassembly of wheels and axles_*
i dalej:
_Bogies take various forms in various modes of transport. A bogie may ... be solid and in turn be suspended (as most _*_bogies of tracked vehicles_*_ are)_
Klikłem na widło bo se pomyśłałem "WHAA?! Gościu GĄSIENICĘ robi? No to niezły patan..." - a tu, panie, pizd... ee... "kicha", znaczy.
PS: Niezamaco : )
Awesome job man that’s great
