With heavy rain and snow laying on a roof like this you have leakage. The best way is to do a double seam connection. I just did a double seam metal roof with 24 Ga. galvanized metal. It looks great.

It's not pure copper its a galvanized product so its essentially worthless. Pure copper sheats would be way too expensive to sell. Essentially its a base metal like Tin or Steel that has been either plated or sprayed with a copper coating.

I personally like the new copper color. I wonder if there is a special coating that can be put on the copper so it will not turn green? For people that don’t know, “dimpling”, the standing seam is the worst way to do this. Also, the ringlet in the brick should have lead tapped into it, followed by a proper sealant. Folks, if you ever decide on getting a copper roof, make sure you get a true expert, that does the copper roof correctly. This is absolutely, 100% wrong. Those seams should have been finished off, by using a double-lock system, not sealant and dimpling. This is sad.

The Thompson's once lived in my neighborhood, dreaming of transforming their home. Their roof was leaking and the covers looked damaged. After searching high and low, they stumble upon the Euroclad website, which is known for its expertise in roofing and cladding.
And soon there they would be, the friendly Euroclad team, work their type of magic. Full of care and precision, the roof of the Thompson's family house was transformed into something the community would be envious of. Not only was it strong, but it was also beautifully padded with material.
The Thompson's felt a sense of pride and security all over again, as if they had just moved into a newly converted home with the sun dipping down over it. For them, Euroclad was re-building their much-loved home and happily returning to their life in it.

Yes, it’s not a “budget” roof but it’s within budget of a middle class family who saves a bit as spurge and who limits to a small roof area within view rather then the entire roof/all roofs.

Thats a medium size roof. for large roofs you can get a pounder coated tin or other metal. Eerie roofing does a good one

One could say “very few people could afford” about many things, all depending on where you set the threshold for “affordable”. The millions who live in an apartment would consider nearly all of TOH out of reach, and would make their landlord unhappy. Many, many TOH projects are Home Depot level accessible. A few like this copper roof are perhaps more aspirational. Nothing wrong with that. I couldn’t afford a copper roof today, but it’s beautiful so maybe an idea for the future.
