Nothing better than spending time with your mates who share the same passion as you and working on a project car. Reminds me of good times with friends after building an N/A-T Supra. It took a few weeks and we screwed up a bit, but we had a laugh and replaced the broken parts. This was way before a Supra cost the price of a house.
Full build in one episode, you guys are too good to us. Thanks for all the hard work everyone puts into your videos! You could do a cheap turbo shootout and get a few different size turbos that fit from like ebay and see which makes the most power at what RPM and which feels the most fun to drive, which sounds the best; and could even compare it to a expensive professionally made turbo.
Only just started the video but as someone that owns an EK non-vtec hatchback and has considered turbocharging it I've been hoping that MCM does their own turbo build on one. Today is a good day :)

That exhaust shop has really upped their game since we last saw them. CNC exhaust hangers?! :) Epic episode, loved the music, the editing, the content.
I love the full build in under an hour. I know splitting it up is better for you guys but this is awesome. Also I feel like an old used Hondata would’ve been much more “budget” than calling in a pro from Haltech. 👀😂💜
Awesome build! one quick tip with filling the trans fluid on a D series or B series, take out your speed sensor and use a funnel to fill the trans from the top, saves a lot of time.
When I was just getting into driving after turning 16 and getting my license, my friend who was a few years older sold me his 92' Civic. The day I got it we tore out the D15 and threw in a D16A6 and the manula trans as he already had the clutch assembly and engine harnesses for it in his attick. We eventually took the ecu to a shop in Madison, WI called Midwest Hybrid where he knew the owner and got it reprogrammed for Vtech. He even had a turbo kit that would bolt on directly however we eventually parted ways not being able to do work out a deal. Many years later I'm a father with a teenage daughter with a project ride I only take out in the summer. A 2004 VW Passat 1.8T Wagon. Been in the family for 10 years plus but has been mine for a couple years. Still have plenty more to do but I finally have my turbo charged ride that works even as a family car. Honda's are key for those just starting in the upgrade world and custom automotive. Simple and easy to get to as well as source for parts and upgrades.
Why have I got a feeling that there's going to be either an EG or an EP on the way? Top effort as usual and keep the super single episodes coming! Thanks from the UK!

Always love seeing Dave and Scott in an episode Wish we could see more Isaac! He seems like an insanely knowledgeable individual and the way he speaks and the speed he speaks literally matches how my brain speaks lol! Amazing episode, love seeing 90s nuggets turn into flutter demons!
The massive difference between Moog and Marty at the start 😂😂😂😂 Marty being this loved up fan of all that is great about what makes our scene what it is when it comes to doing up cars, and then Moog absolutely ripping on it is ultimately what I love about these two. I’m about 4 months younger than Moog - thank you for the stuff you’ve made lads, you got me through some serious stuff back in the day watching lo-fi videos of doing up cars with not much cash when I was in a dark place. Keep on being you, lads ❤️
I love and strongly prefer these longer format videos. I know TH-cam has been attacking longer videos and trying to incentivize short, pointless videos as they continue to try to become TikTok, but those of us with a brain still prefer these longer videos. I used to have a Civic of this same generation not too long ago. It was an EX Coupe though. I bought it for $300 with a broken timing belt. Put a reman head on it as well as fixing some oil leaks and put in a new clutch. With all the new parts needed to get it running and driving well, I was into it for about $1000 (US). Drove it for a couple years before I sold it on to someone who commutes about 70 miles a day. It still runs great today. I thought about modding it but figured that with a modded turbo BL Legacy and a BD Legacy with an EZ36 in the garage, I figured it was a lost cause. Civics are better as solid, efficient, reliable commuter cars than they are as performance vehicles (unless you dump absolutely insane amounts of money in to them)
I am glad you guys did this one. i know the Orange one was stressful, but I think it did the car a bit of a disservice. No one jumped up on or kicked the panelwork, no one complained, car looks sweet, people had fun.

Where I live, I have a decent salary, working as a graphic designer. and I earn less than 1500EUR a month... How things going in this country atm, I would never be able to afford it... I know its not their fault, I am aware of that. But love you guys :D watching everything for about... 8-9 years, and I do own a Honda! an EK sedan ;) building it for about 4 years. :) Keep it up ;)

How these guys haven’t been able to get verified from TH-cam after all these solid ass years of fantastic videos just blows my mind 🤦🏽♂️ if anybody deserves it, they do
I did a build similar and it was such a fun car. Someone closed to me wrecked it but....I learned these little D blocks can take a beating. Similar turbo, D15B2 which I changed the ECU to run a modern, 4 injector intake instead of the DPFI system it had, chipped and self-tuned with a program called TurboEdit, fuel pump, new injectors, the whole nine yards. Nothing done to the block other than teardown and cleaning. New rings, new bearings. You could cram 10psi down its gullet and it just didn't care. And if you do blow it up, the engines are a dime a dozen.
I'm really excited about Nkunku, he makes everything look easy, and clearly knows what he's doing, we have great players, but sometimes you feel like they're making it up as they go, but Nkunku is different, he's experienced and world class, I hope he stays fit...
I watched a few of your turbo builds for NA cars and one thing is not usually addressed, it is the lubrication system of the engine. Turbo engines have a different lubrication system than naturally-aspirated ones. It includes oil nozzles for spraying underside of pistons, oil gallery in the piston heads, oil cooler, different con-rod big end lubrication (no holes in the con rod big end) etc. Some NA gasoline engines do come with oil nozzles like the toyota 2ZR-FE, 2AR-FE, 2AZ-FE etc.
Loved this one!! Had an Ek D16y7 myself. Nothin' beefy. Threw a handful of things on'er. Such a fun ride. I'll have another again one day. Great video!!!🙌🙌🔥🔥💯
This show ( and tdc, all the gear) I genuinely look forward to each week and now even my friends that don't see cars as fun or entertaining are now seeing the light after watching too 💪🏻🚙🏍️
Epic. Makes me miss my 2002 RSX. Dumped $3500 into a used Greddy turbo kit and a Hondata modded ecu, street tuned it, made almost 300 at the wheels. Torque steer and SSQV dosdos noises. Good times.
Finally, a video on my field of expertise, Boosted Single Cams! here is some info for the people looking to do the same thing. the Honda single-cam D-series motors are mostly the same (D15/D16) and can handle the same power on most motors, the weakest point is the head studs stretching and blowing the head gasket followed by the rods, a safe power limit is 200hp to 220hp with some people running up to 230hp. Avoid vtec-E motors with cylinder head code "P07". the best cylinder head codes are P08 and P2J as they have bigger intake runners and mostly are sohc vtec, also don't be scared to rev a D-series to 7000rpm. (I rev to 7300) My D15 vtec makes 187hp at 10psi but some report more power at 10psi, some people also run up to 14psi without issues, just keep the power under 230hp. the minimum requirement is an injector upgrade but I recommend a fuel pump upgrade also, the stock regulator can be used however some Dseries motors have a very small fuel rail (inside diameter) and the regulator is positioned before the injectors making it worse. the clutch will likely fail soon after 150hp. too big a turbo will have days of boost lag, and too small will make power low down and that is not good for the tiny D-series rods, I recommend a slightly too big turbo so the boost starts after 3500rpm. the gearbox and shafts are strong enough to handle loads of abuse! happy budget boosting!!
Beautiful car man . Jeff did a remote tune on my ap1 last spring with similar mods to yours. Couldn't be happier with the results, enjoy your ride nice weather has finally arrived in southwest Ohio!
Lay the pipe down on the bench horizontal rather than vertical in the vice, I find it's much easier that way, get the balance to 60 percent for more cleaning if the pipe has been coated with anything, I usually use 200H for the frequency, hope this helps, love the show since day one keep on keeping on!

@@fanatic26 you clearly have no idea what you are talking about, circuit set-up civics are dominating race series brother! do some simple quick research!!
Reminds me of the MOOG s2000
Idont know if yall would ever see my comment or not but im so happy to see another honda on the channel! i remember the black eg with the pvc roll cage and the glue on brembos haha those were the days i know im just no body but im so proud of yall going so far on youtube and living the fulfilling life that many of us only dream of and yet you still come back to a lil good ole honda for some good ole great content and good times for us normal folk that yall produce from the gear drivin god blessed bottom of my heart thank yall for doing what yall do!!!!
Because of you guys I am literally going to Castle hill exhaust to get my catbact system exhaust fixed on my 7nth gen. Was looking everywhere and couldn't find it. Thanks guys. You rock.
Its a good day when MCM brings out the Hondas.
Much better as a feature length, thank god you didn’t spread this out over several months. Loving the MCM signature style, production quality is stratospheric
more videos like this please!!! This kind of format is my personal favourite. Can just sit down a watch a big 'ol long MCM vid. Too good.
What a great episode. Moog said it best "this is what SuperGarage is all about"
Props to you, gents! Keep it up
Full build in one episode, you guys are too good to us.
I love this channel, one of the best car channels on TH-cam as far as I'm concerns. High quality and hosted by two blokes who just work so well together...what's not to like?
Moog being pissy straight out the gate is exactly what I'm here for! Well, that and the awesome builds. Love ya, Marty!
Man, I'm glad mcm is still at it. Been watching since the start!
That exhaust shop has really upped their game since we last saw them. CNC exhaust hangers?! :) Epic episode, loved the music, the editing, the content.
they've always been good, but the best are always looking upwards, they did a great job
You guys always have those sick beats. Moog you rock
I love the full build in under an hour. I know splitting it up is better for you guys but this is awesome.
Also I feel like an old used Hondata would’ve been much more “budget” than calling in a pro from Haltech. 👀😂💜
There isn't a whole lot of budgeting here after a trip to the exhaust shop and t he half dozen other dudes helping with the build lol
❤ Boost You Aussies are representing so well with the JDM scene. I really thought this was going to be rice, but it turned out to be nice.
I’m an n/a Honda engine fanboy but that turbo flutter was so satisfying to listen to
MARTY AND MOOG BLESSING US BIG TIME HERE
We need more Isaac! He's so easy to listen to; the way he talks so casually yet enthusiastically. Awesome video lads!
I’ve got this exact engine, you’ve just given me a new parts list and all the instructions! Thank you MCM! 🐌
Power isn't everything, it's how many smiles per gallon your cars bring you
This is exactly the kind of video I wanted to see at 15 years old in high school! Perfect!!!
Awesome build! one quick tip with filling the trans fluid on a D series or B series, take out your speed sensor and use a funnel to fill the trans from the top, saves a lot of time.
So excited to watch this, everyone watch the ads to give the guys some bucks!
haha, just run it on repeat to give them more views, make 20 comments each, and like all comments! haha
@Alex if people dont watch at least 30 seconds it hurts their CPM
It started as a budget build but escalated to not such a budget build
Great video, THANKS! Would have liked to see how/where the turbo oil feed gets connected on the engine.....
“Today we’re gonna turbo a civic on a budget. Let me introduce you to Dave from Haltec, he’s gonna do all of our wiring.”
Riiiiiiiiiiight….
More info on how much the build cost here: th-cam.com/video/2cxpuXz2QYA/w-d-xo.html
Love the Honda builds always …
Been watching this channel on and off since probably 2014/5. I always forget how moogs voice over the vid always makes each one feel like a movie
I have a 99 Ex which shares the same engine layout so I'm excited about this video XD
"cheap build" uses $10k machine to cut metal
You can use cheap tools too 🤦🏻♂️
They hired a guy to do the exhaust breh that was his tool
Have you heard of cheap power tools? Actually probably not,you should look into them, you will be shocked
Why have I got a feeling that there's going to be either an EG or an EP on the way? Top effort as usual and keep the super single episodes coming! Thanks from the UK!
Been watching MCM for many many years, never commented. Wanted to say that I really appreciate that Marty says "kilometers" properly :D
This is 1 of my favorite videos well done mates another little nugget just because it's fun and cheap. Thank you for sharing, everyone keep yourselves and love ones safe and healthy and remember to SMILE 😃 😊
I must admit, you guys going back to where you started, makes the video very enjoying and brings back the good ol'times
Always love seeing Dave and Scott in an episode
Wish we could see more Isaac!
He seems like an insanely knowledgeable individual and the way he speaks and the speed he speaks literally matches how my brain speaks lol!
Amazing episode, love seeing 90s nuggets turn into flutter demons!
The massive difference between Moog and Marty at the start 😂😂😂😂
Marty being this loved up fan of all that is great about what makes our scene what it is when it comes to doing up cars, and then Moog absolutely ripping on it is ultimately what I love about these two.
No one jumped up on or kicked the panelwork, no one complained, car looks sweet, people had fun.
love it when... " elite 750 - BUDGET! " I just checked with the basic wiring harness its 1500EUR. :) Keep it up ;)
The real hero is the cameraman + video editor
I like how he didn't want to be anywhere close to the civid job, but he voiced the whole video. Classic.
Awesome episode! It is pretty nice seeing a build come all the way through all in one go. Though, regardless of format, I've been lovin everything you guys do, keep it up!
Pulling the SAME FACE as Marty... can only imagine how scary it is SITTING IN the car while dyno power running it.. anticipating a BANG.. Great content as always.
How these guys haven’t been able to get verified from TH-cam after all these solid ass years of fantastic videos just blows my mind 🤦🏽♂️ if anybody deserves it, they do
awesome episode. i love seeing all the technical part with mcm and the haltech team as in dave and the tuning fork
Full send David Lynch at the end. Niiiiice.
Im so glad I swapped my D16y7 with my now current k20a. Thanks guys for giving me a look at where I could've been.
Loving the tunes at 4mins or so in. Great work as always - the cars and trucks and then all the music production too.
Great video! 👍 I liked how everyone came together to help and play!
I loved watching this, you guys do the car scene so much justice.
One of my fave yt channels of all time the quality and well delivered content is just amazing 👏
glad that every body is safe, keep up posted on all the repair stages.
not gonna lie, I feel also the happiness of Marty and I also smiles when turbo spools :D
I was so happy when RWB bought Haltech. My Honda powered kit car is gonna love Haltech.
This car handling is racetuned from factory, regardless turbo or vtec ! Love it !
