"Humbling River" by Puscifer should be your next Puscifer song! Carina and Maynard mesh even better with harmonies and perfectly timed layers. Please check it out! It won't disappoint.
As good as this song is, Grand Canyon contains Maynard's own personal favorite (if I'm remembering correctly) vocal performance. It's an amazing example of Carina's abitlity to work with unique harmonies, and it also perfectly illustrates the concept of the voice as an instrument; especially at the end.
If you want a unique Maynard song I have to recommend Passenger by Deftones. He wasn't supposed to guest on it but the band asked him to help write and he ended up getting a lot of vocal work which just elevates the song to a whole other level
@J M I want you to know that nobody cares that you feel this way. Its a waste of your time and energy having such an opinion. Music is incredibly subjective so its doesnt make any sense at all for the band to be a "waste of talent". Its obvious that a lot of people like Puscifer and theres absolutely nothing wrong with that. You didn't lose a friend because you dont like the band. You lost a friend because you were an asshole about it. Im not saying this to you to start an argument or to be rude. Im saying this because i hope it helps you change your outlook and just be a happier person who is more accepting of others opinions.
Grand Canyon is a great one to hear their voices working together also. And I love Carina's voice in Rev 22:20 live where Maynard sits it out and she sings the song.
The mission that Milla Jovovich sang with is incredible, loved that song for years. There's a great live version of it on YT from 2009, still get goosebumps from time to time from it, she nailed it.
Have you heard the Underworld soundtrack? That's the first instance I heard Mila Jovovich sing, and quite possibly my introduction to Puscifer. (It's been a while.) Jovovich and MJK provide backing vocals on a few other tracks on the album, too. It's a ridiculously good collaborative album featuring a lot of good talent.
Tool and A Perfect Circle are amazing groups and Maynard is great, but I think that Puscifer brings out the inner Maynard and let's you see the depths of his musicianship and vocal expression. Can't wait!
I think the early Puscifer was really Maynard’s baby. Now that they have had the same members for a few albums, or at least Mat and Carina, it’s a bit more of a band and not just Maynard. Mat makes many of the musical decisions. It’s kind of a collaboration between him and Maynard and Carina.
I love the contrast of Puscifer from his work on Tool and A Perfect Circle, MJK always came across as such a serious guy to me, but then to see the creatively goofy side of him on Puscifer is awesome. I love it!
Yeah I mean APC isn't even his band - more like he's the singer in Billy's band. Puscifer is definitely the artsy side for Maynard and probably where he's gotten the most creative liberties and freedom.
If you have the opportunity to experience Puscifer live particularly in a small theatre setting it is so good. I recently went to a show and it was hands down one of the best sounding shows not to loud not to low no echo or horrible feedback just perfect and not to mention very funny and entertaining. Puscifer is as much a must see live as Tool or APC.
Bedlamite is another Puscifer song that beautifully showcases Maynard and Carina's vocals blending together! As well as just having a very beautiful and reassuring message too! It's so soothing
Still hoping for the analysis of Alice in chains - love hate love - live at the moore. It's Layne Staley at his finest and the best example I think you'll ever see of someone stance helping them with the notes
Please, go listen to my fave song Bedlamite by puscifer. Love at arcosanti, there bis something so warm in Maynard's voice and him saying everything is going to be alright plus dawn rising in the video.... Fantastic stuff!
Mahsa Zargaran is at the keyboard. She also does backing vocals. The higher vocals in duet with Carina. So not all is Carina. This gives it another extra layer, which is awesome!
Mahsa Zagaran (the keyboard player) is singing backing vocals here. She has a solo project called Omniflux. Also, the bassist is Paul Barker, who was a longtime member of industrial band Ministry and solo as Lead Into Gold. This lineup of Puscifer had a really interesting variety of musicians.
There's a live version of Momma Sed (I forget the venue) which follows an entirely different flow, rhythm, atmosphere and octave from Maynard. I love a lot of what Maynard does live over studio but I think this one easily takes the cake as his best with what is already a great song.
"Throw an acorn at them and turn them to stone." So happy to learn you're a Willow fan ... yeah, welcome to the Puscifer train, this is definitely Maynard as his weirdest. The Humbling River is a BEAUTIFUL track from these guys, really haunting. Their best stuff to date has, I think come from their newest album - The Underwhelming, Bullet Train To Iowa and Apocalyptical are absolute corkers. And they even covered Bohemian Rhapsody once, and, AMAZINGLY, did a really great job with it too ...
Puscifer have so many good songs to pick from. But I would have to say the live version of "Momma Sed" is a cut above. Gives me chills just thinking about it. Performance is so moving and flawless. Worth a listen just on its own. 🙂
Puscifer’s sound is all over the map compared to Maynard’s other bands. Some of it is quite heavy like this song, or “The Arsonist” or “Conditions of my Parole” (which is a brilliant and very funny song btw). Then you get stuff like “The Humbling River” and “Momma Sed” which are a lot softer. All of their sounds are sublime however. Maynard and Carina are a magnificent vocal pairing and the result has been the absolute masterclass that is Puscifer. If you can find a live version of “Momma Sed” it’s brilliant, especially the end where Carina’s line “this too shall pass” harmonizes majestically with Maynard’s vocals.
Wow you helped me to hear Carina's voice where I hadn't heard it before. It was so low, almost like a breath, and I had never "separated" it in my mind from the other sounds. But now I hear her!
This, as much as I love artists like Chester Bennington or Mercury, Knopfler, Clapton, Pink Floyd and tons of others, MJK is a sonic god IMO. Just look at what he did for one of Deftone's songs "Passenger"
Absolutly my favorite Puscifer song. The agressive parts are balanced by the really delicate and subtle parts, the vocal interplay between MJK and Carina, the instrument tones, its all fantastic
This is one of my favorite songs in the world and it always gives me a huge grin each listen. I'm struck by its self-assured power which slowly builds upon the melodic/harmonic elements, which is then fulfilled by such a wry and satisfying chorus. The drum beat sounds to me like a boxer training on a punching bag, which feels on-theme for the song. Also, not sure why no one is addressing the sheer humor of the lyrics.
"Horizons" from the Conditions of my Parole album is another piece about Maynard dealing with the death of his mother. It's still mournful but a lot less angry than APC's Judith and TOOL's Wings for Marie pt 1&2. I don't know if it's right for the channel as it's not the most interesting piece but it is still very beautiful and definitely worth listening to. It's about Maynard spreading his mother's ashes at his Arizona vineyard and watching the wind carry it away.
You HAVE to do "Bother" by Stone Sour. It's Corey Taylors other band and I am blown away that you've covered so much Slipknot, but haven't covered this song yet. Absolutely LOVE watching your videos!
For anyone just getting into Puscifer, the full-length music video for Conditions of My Parole is HILARIOUS (maybe not great for an in-depth analysis video)! Very highly recommended!
I really love what Maynard has done with Puscifer. You have GOT to hear the live version of Momma Sed from "What Is Puscifer?" It's a complete reimagining of the album version and is amazing.
Some suggestions for other Pusifer songs: Humbling River - my personal favorite from them The Mission - featuring guest singer Milla Jovovich Potions - a song Maynard co-wrote with Trent Reznor Conditions of My Parole - an example of Maynard’s weird sense of humor (especially if you include the music video) Bonus Maynard: Perfect Circle’s “So Long and Thanks for All the Fish,” might be the only song Maynard sings in a major tone Great analysis! Love to see you talk about all of Maynard’s work. Thanks for all your videos.
I feel like this was a great choice to exemplify Puscifer. You get gentle and delicate, you get lyrics with substance and sincerity, with some humor peppered in, and you get something to tap your toes to.
I love Puscifer. There is so much great work from this project. To be honest I love the originality of it. I like this work even more then Tool and Perfect Circle.
Love the show, not sure if you know but all the times I’ve seen Maynard sing with Tool, he always faced the drummer never the audience. I think you should do a deep dive with that. Also Trent Reznor, AKA NIN.
“So Far Away” by Avenged Sevenfold should be added to your list, It’s a greatly written tribute song to their late drummer. You’ll be able to feel their emotion through the song and just leave goosebumps. Hope Everyone has a wonderful day 🙏🏽
I second the recommendation of "Humbling River," but I would also love to see your reaction to "Grand Canyon." Both songs are beautiful and filled with vocal interplay between Maynard and Carina. *chef's kiss*
I really like this album in particular because of the inclusion of Juliette Commagere for a lot of extra harmony on top of what Maynard and Carina are doing. It works very well in my opinion.
You nailed it on the head, Puscifer is a very tongue in cheek kind of band. Maynard's lyrics have always held meaning, but I find more often than not with Puscifer, the wit and sarcasm are just on another level.
Puscifer is one of the most amazing live shows I have ever seen. I got to see him with Corina a few years back when the first full album came out. This song was amazing live. They performed in a boxing ring and the opening act was luchador wrestling. Maynard wore a full 3 piece suit and luchador mask for the entire show and never showed his face.
I so very much enjoy all of your breakdowns of our favorite bands. When it comes to Maynerd, you can truly bring to light something special in his rhythm of vocals. Concerning Tool, He and Danny will bounce back and forth for leading the rhythm, but this is not noticeable to many people. It is always something that I appreciate in their music.
Puscifer is really amazing. They have so nmany subtle details in their music but at the same time is fairly "simple" to enjoy it easily. This album and the latest one has some great vocals from Maynard and Carina. They slowly became my fav Maynard's project The Arsonist, Galileo and Bullet Train to Iowa are some interesting songs. They also have some pretty good live performances if you want to check them out
I love that the two vocalists are not competing for control or supremacy of the song. Their voices blend together so well to express the message of the lyrics.
LOOOOOOOVE YOUR ANALYSES! So much fun and always manages to tickle a tear from my eye. You really bring out the emotional quality of the music. MORE!!!
I would love to hear you break down these Puscifer songs: Polar Bear, Green Valley (Live), Simultaneous (Live). I think you’d find these interesting to analyze and I’d love to hear your input. Humbling River is a must too.
I was so excited to see this song on here. It's a criminally underrated song from a criminally underrated group. You've definitely shown an appreciation for Maynard's style before, so I was always hoping this might come around. It's a beautiful song and these are extremely talented people. Thank you for covering this one and thank you for all the high quality videos! :)
Having just witnessed “The Remedy” performed live in the recent past … I feel like this video needs a pencil topper troll doll re-enactment to capture the essence of these lyrics … but maybe I am off a bit … more to come …WooHoo!
I think Carina Round is one of the most underrated artists of all time, her solo material is absolutely incredible. Specifically the track "Into My Blood" is a whole damn experience. Absolutely worthy of reaction on its own.
Hello Elizabeth, First of all, I would like to thank you for your work and for highlight all these great metal singers (but not only!). May be as you already know, for many years metal music has suffered from a bad reputation among the mainstream audience who don't understand this music and for the majority of them still think it's just noise (at least in my country France, it's still the case and despite the success of an extreme music festival like the Hellfest !!!). So a huge thank you to you for showing through your videos and with your experience as an opera singer the power and quality of metal and the great talent of its musicians. I would like to suggest to you one of my favorite band of Swedish Prog Metal called Pain of Salvation. If you don't know this band yet, its singer, Daniel Gildenlöw, has an incredible and charismatic voice I find and their songs are really rich and interesting (harmonics used, dissonance tones, polyrhythm, jazz and classical inspiration, etc.). You could try listening to songs like "Used", "Ashes", "Fandango" or "The Perfect Element" but to give you a quick idea, here is a link to discover Daniel Gildenlöw and the music of Pain of Salvation: th-cam.com/video/X1QO1daK688/w-d-xo.html Thank a lot and see you to the next video. ^-^ Kiss from France
Elizabeth, you have got to analyze “Parachute” by Caroline Polachek. it’s the outro from her debut album “Pang”. it’s become one of my favorite albums due to her beautiful voice and amazing ability to manipulate her sound.
Love your analysis of a multitude of different styles.Never know what you gonna get when it comes to puscifer. Many great songs . Maynard and Carina really sound great together..
It's time to check out Battle Beast's latest album and the Wagnerian soprano of metal, Noora Louhimo. Those sweet Dioesque strains will get the appropriate number of #letsgoback of appreciation from a delighted Elizabeth. Let's do Master of Illusion first.
This is a great example of Puscifer. Some songs can be aggro, but for the most part this band is very harmonic and beautiful. Grand Canyon is a great song! So is Bedlamite. Really they've never put out even a sub-par song, much less a bad one, you really can't go wrong!
Carina Round is one of my favorite artists whom i feel is criminally underrated! I think it would be really cool if you reacted to one of her solo songs, Elizabeth! anything from "The Disconnection" would be great. "Tigermending" has a lot of good songs too! She is a fantastic and unique vocalist with a crazy range. I haven't listened to a ton of Puscifer, but from what i've heard she doesn't get a lot of time to shine!
Hey there Elizabeth! love the content and insight into the songs i love that you listen to. I have a band thats come out recently that I haven't been able to stop listening too. They made their appearance doing covers on TikTok and just recently launched their first album! The 2 cover songs they did initially that got me interested in them were a cover of Happier than Ever by Billie Eilish, and Middle of the Night from Elley Duhé. I know im not a patron and i would be if money wasnt so tight right now. But please i would really love to see your reaction to them, and hear your thoughts on their band of 2 members. If you read this you are awesome and thanks so much for taking the time to read this long message haha. -Ben
Good morning, Elizabeth! Great analysis as always. I'd like to recommend the music video of Judith by A Perfect Circle. Aside from Maynard, we get Billy Howerdel with great backup vocals and a wonderfully rare lady bassist (I don't know her name). I've watched your analysis of 10,000 Days from Tool and Judith has the same emotions to it but much heavier. Keep up the good work!
The ropes and stuff in the video connect to an ongoing theme Pucifer uses- Lucha libre. That's Mexican style wrestling- which translated loosely means "free fight" which refers to the freedom of the fighting style- you do whatever you need to do to win. They always have these guys on stage with them- in their lucha masks, there is a certain style of mask the wrestlers wear that's traditional to the Lucha Libre style. Maynard always poses as their manager- I don't get the gag tbh but, Maynard seems to love it. The last Pucifer concert I went to these guys came out in their masks and posed throughout the whole show- changing poses and sticking out their tongues at everyone- it was weird. Maynard himself is into jujitsu- he's actually quite good and widely respected by guys who practice and know of his skills. I've seen him take down a guy who ran up on stage- Maynard aint playing around, he's very capable. He had the guy wrapped up on the stage, face down- in seconds. Then he just laid on top until security came and took the moron off stage.
I saw them during the Money Shot tour too (in Australia) and it was a super entertaining performance for sure, they also brought out robotic chickens for a cock fighting gag too I’m not sure if they did that every time but it was super wild all up.
It was a live version of Pushit by Tool... He held the guy down for like 10 minutes while he kept singing the song and he was constantly looking around for security to take the dude off the stage.. he even pats the guy on the back softly a few times letting him know he wasn't trying to hurt him.. lol.. it's Fucking hilarious.. Maynard is the GOAT... I love all 3 of his bands so much... They all 3 have amazing musicians and they all sound completely different from each other... I love acoustic songs alot.. unfortunately TOOL never does unplugged or Acoustic versions of their music... Which is unfortunate 4° is the closest thing to acoustic that Tool does.. it's awesome too.. there's a guy on TH-cam named Marc Durkee that does an absolutely amazing acoustic version of The Patient by Tool .. it is definitely a must see/hear video... It only has 40k views in 4 yrs and it deserves way more views... Dude has a killer voice.. he also cuts back and forth between playing acoustic guitar and electric piano and singing into a studio mic... He seamlessly edits all 3 parts to make it perfect...
Love the song...love the reation...love the breakdown...been a huge tool fan from waybback but took me til this pass Christmas to discover Pucifer...thanks for your reaction
I really like Carina's vocals as an accompaniment in this song, but I have to admit that Milla Jovovich (of Resident Evil fame) singing with Maynard in " THE MISSION " was super cool as well for a completely different reason. She doesn't even have a 'great' singing voice (IMO) but it suites the song perfectly. I'd love to hear your opinion on why it works. th-cam.com/video/MrQOBcFfEj0/w-d-xo.html
Saw Puscifer in Austin a couple months back. Absolutely amazing! Best show I've ever been to. Edit: they performed this song, and EVERYONE sang along. It was awesome!
I naively never expected you to break this one down! How foolish of me! All the times I've listened to it I never really accounted for all the nuances that your highly trained ear pulled out of it.. Excellent video and thank you!
So many songs to choose from in the Puscifer catalog. I have been waiting for your analysis on the 2 together. Love your channel always excited to see your new content.
Really any Avenged Sevenfold hit would be awesome to see a reaction to but standouts would have to be Beast and the Harlot, So Far Away, Acid Rain, Seize the Day, MIA or for “fun” Little Piece of Heaven.
I am so happy to see you taking a look as some Puscifer. As a life long fan of TOOL and A Perfect Circle, i love those bands very much, but Puscifer is where Maynard does his best work. The other bands are great, but they are Maynard in a mix with other incredible musicians with a profound influence on the final product, which makes them beautiful and amazing. Puscifer however is mainlining Maynard's particular brand of creativity and vision, and it showcases him in a way that neither of the other bands ever can. Please do more Puscifer. Horizons is great, but i really would love to see someone with your skill take a look at The Humbling River.
@@TheCharismaticVoice oh fantastic! I've become obsessed in the last week after coming across them by chance, it's like an alternate timeline where a young Kate Bush had replaced Amy in Evanescence.
Thank you SO MUCH for doing an analysis on this song, on the band. I hope you continue to explore Puscifer on your channel. "Humbling River", "Mama Said", there's so much incredible work in this sideproject of Maynard. Loved this review!
Thank you for making it to PUSCIFER 😍😍😍. Please listen to Existential Reckoning...and simply pick any :) Bullet Train is one of my favs. Puscifer is such an awesome view of "Another" side of the brilliance that is Maynard. UGH...so very awesome!
One thing about Maynard is that he doesn't seem to want to be recognized. In all of his photoshoots and videos, they either don't show his face, or show him with a different hairstyle. He gets to be one of the most famous musicians in the world, but most fans don't even know what he looks like.
Have you seen any live Tool performances in the last 20+ years? MJK stands beside the drums and remains out of the stage lights. As for his hairstyle, he's bald. I don't know if it's natural or shaved, but he wears different wigs depending on which band he's performing with. I've read that it helps him "get into the character" of the band.
Woah! Just noticed ya hit 1 million! Just about a year ago we were celebrating your 500k! Congrats to you, your family, and all involved in making this channel a success!
Wow! This is such a cool song! Eyeopening to me. Thank you for that presentation. Didn't know Puscifer before - shame on me! Definitely need to dig into Maynards creative subconscious!
Would you be willing to check out the "Can't Get you Out of my Head" cover by AnnenMayKantereit? He has one of the most unique, beautiful voices I have EVER heard! Your expertise is absolutely NEEDED!!!!!!!
Are they known outside of germany? I mainly know them due to their collab with german rap group K.I.Z. and because they're favorites of my colleagues' kids
@@uliuchu4318 I stumbled upon one of their street performances on youtube and immediately fell in love with the pure soul of Henning's voice! I'm not sure how well known they are outside of Germany, but I hope others get to experience them!

Yes Humbling River is one of my all time fav Puscifer songs
Anyone who trolls this channel definitely need the remedy.
@KH Worker
Don't worry. They won't.
Even trolls have taste, I suppose.
I'd love to hear your reaction and analysis to "Conditions of my Parole", "Monsoon" and "Green Valley", and "The Mission" for a Milla Jovovich cameo
"Humbling River" by Puscifer should be your next Puscifer song! Carina and Maynard mesh even better with harmonies and perfectly timed layers. Please check it out! It won't disappoint.

Grand Canyon is probably their best song if it were up to me.
Have to watch the director's cut video to Condition of my Parole 😉

You HAVE to do "Bother" by Stone Sour. It's Corey Taylors other band and I am blown away that you've covered so much Slipknot, but haven't covered this song yet. Absolutely LOVE watching your videos!
I saw them in concert last month and holy hell do they put on a show! This song was also so much fun to sing along with everyone.
For anyone just getting into Puscifer, the full-length music video for Conditions of My Parole is HILARIOUS (maybe not great for an in-depth analysis video)! Very highly recommended!
You must check out "Grand Canyon" by Puscifer live at Rock am Ring. Amazing live set.
I really love what Maynard has done with Puscifer. You have GOT to hear the live version of Momma Sed from "What Is Puscifer?" It's a complete reimagining of the album version and is amazing.
This whole album is amazing. If you only pick one other song on this album it should be Augustina.
Also Autumn. It gives me the feels every time and the vocal harmonies in it are some of the most beautiful.
Augustina is amazing
Momma Sed ( V is for Versatile )
Thank me later
*Puscifer is a theatrical band. They gave themes and characters in their videos and concerts.
Some suggestions for other Pusifer songs:
Humbling River - my personal favorite from them
The Mission - featuring guest singer Milla Jovovich
Potions - a song Maynard co-wrote with Trent Reznor
Conditions of My Parole - an example of Maynard’s weird sense of humor (especially if you include the music video)
Bonus Maynard: Perfect Circle’s “So Long and Thanks for All the Fish,” might be the only song Maynard sings in a major tone
Great analysis! Love to see you talk about all of Maynard’s work. Thanks for all your videos.
Potions is a masterpiece
Hope Everyone has a wonderful day 🙏🏽
Except that's a garbage band
I second the recommendation of "Humbling River," but I would also love to see your reaction to "Grand Canyon." Both songs are beautiful and filled with vocal interplay between Maynard and Carina. *chef's kiss*
I really like this album in particular because of the inclusion of Juliette Commagere for a lot of extra harmony on top of what Maynard and Carina are doing. It works very well in my opinion.
I thought that was Mahsa Zargaran
@@Ironwing12 You're probably right. I assumed it was Juliette bc they have worked with her in the past.
@@benjaminflasher It is Juliette on this entire album. With backing vocal credits as well. I think Masha is their touring keyboardist.
I would love to see a review of Grand Canyon. Those triple harmonies at the end with Juliette make my ear drums tickle!
They slowly became my fav Maynard's project
The Arsonist, Galileo and Bullet Train to Iowa are some interesting songs. They also have some pretty good live performances if you want to check them out
I love that the two vocalists are not competing for control or supremacy of the song. Their voices blend together so well to express the message of the lyrics.
I still remember when Puscifer accidentally showed up in my recommendations, this was a very WEIRD song to hear out of context lmao
'Set Fire' (acoustic)... Currently my favorite Carina Round solo song. I don't care if you do a video but you should definitely hear it.
I love Maynard, i love this song and it's the most angry passive-aggressive lyrics ever written :).
LOOOOOOOVE YOUR ANALYSES! So much fun and always manages to tickle a tear from my eye. You really bring out the emotional quality of the music. MORE!!!
Miss,
Devin Townsend - Stormbending live in Plovdiv 2017
you're welcome
Gah! I haven't done Devin in so long! Thank you... will keep this in mind. ;-)
I would love to hear you break down these Puscifer songs: Polar Bear, Green Valley (Live), Simultaneous (Live). I think you’d find these interesting to analyze and I’d love to hear your input. Humbling River is a must too.
th-cam.com/video/k0Fy6_fE5I4/w-d-xo.html
Simultaneous (Live)
Seeing them live this tour was such a treat. Also, if you're interested in reacting to any of Carina's solo work, Do You is a fantastic song.
I was amazed on how this two sound being awesome. Saw them in Denver back in July.
I've seen a lot of bands play live in my time, but this tour was phenomenal. This album is criminally underrated.
Puscifer - Grand Canyon or Agostina give some incredible vocal performances from Maynard
“UPGrade,” “Fake Affront,” “Apocalyptical” are all great songs off of the most recent Puscifer album to check out.
Having just witnessed “The Remedy” performed live in the recent past … I feel like this video needs a pencil topper troll doll re-enactment to capture the essence of these lyrics … but maybe I am off a bit … more to come …WooHoo!
This channel is 100% deserving of it's 1mil subs. Love the indepth analysis.
The Humbling River is still my favourite Pucifer song, by a huge margin.
Congratulations 🎉👏🎉👏🎉👏🎉 you have worked hard for this we all enjoy your reactions please keep them up
I think Carina Round is one of the most underrated artists of all time, her solo material is absolutely incredible. Specifically the track "Into My Blood" is a whole damn experience. Absolutely worthy of reaction on its own.
Hello Elizabeth,
First of all, I would like to thank you for your work and for
highlight all these great metal singers (but not only!).
May be as you already know, for many years metal music has suffered from a bad reputation among the mainstream audience who don't understand this music and for the majority of them still think it's just noise (at least in my country France, it's still the case and despite the success of an extreme music festival like the Hellfest !!!).
So a huge thank you to you for showing through your videos and with your
experience as an opera singer the power and quality of metal and the
great talent of its musicians.
You
could try listening to songs like "Used", "Ashes", "Fandango" or "The
Perfect Element" but to give you a quick idea, here is a link to
discover Daniel Gildenlöw and the music of Pain of Salvation:

Thank a lot and see you to the next video. ^-^
Kiss from France
Elizabeth, you have got to analyze “Parachute” by Caroline Polachek. it’s the outro from her debut album “Pang”. it’s become one of my favorite albums due to her beautiful voice and amazing ability to manipulate her sound.
Carina Round is the most underrated singer in my opinion. Listen to her song "Set Fire" Acoustic versiion. And her early years "Into My Blood"
Thoughts on a song called "I believe in a thing called love" from The Darkness 😜
The live version of this song from Rock-AM-Ring from 2016 is amazing! The whole show was legendary and uploaded here thank god!

Huge congratulations on 1 million subscribers, Elizabeth! You're deserving of that and many more, voice nerd.
This is such a fantastic song. It's my anthem for a few people. I think it's reminiscent of Rush, in a way.
I do think of Rush with this as well. Specifically at times the song Subdivisions.
WHAT DO YOU KNOW!?
Saw Puscifer in Austin a couple months back. Absolutely amazing! Best show I've ever been to.
Edit: they performed this song, and EVERYONE sang along. It was awesome!
Just the the name of Puscifer I could go so many ways with that name, lmao.
Oh yeah, really? 👉😁👈
I could chuck my phone and hit 1 million subscribers from here. Let me be one of the first to congratulate you! Well done, my friend 👏 ❤️
Love your channel also
I naively never expected you to break this one down! How foolish of me! All the times I've listened to it I never really accounted for all the nuances that your highly trained ear pulled out of it.. Excellent video and thank you!
The golden rule is “don’t feed the trolls,” Elizabeth! Remember that, and you will thrive.
What do trolls eat, though?!
@@TheCharismaticVoice They live off of the misery of everyone they encounter; hence don’t feed them.😉
@@TheCharismaticVoice Feed the troll positive, strong thoughts and he will starve!
So many songs to choose from in the Puscifer catalog. I have been waiting for your analysis on the 2 together. Love your channel always excited to see your new content.
please do "so far away" Avenge Seven Fold...
Have you considered doing a Blackbriar song? Beautiful Delirium, Arms of the Ocean or I'd Rather Burn At The Stake all come to mind
Blackbriar is on my short list! I heard Zora on a patron playlist and just had to feature them. Soon!
@@TheCharismaticVoice oh fantastic! I've become obsessed in the last week after coming across them by chance, it's like an alternate timeline where a young Kate Bush had replaced Amy in Evanescence.
@@TheCharismaticVoice Yes! Please do an analysis! Blackbriar is great.
Thank you SO MUCH for doing an analysis on this song, on the band. I hope you continue to explore Puscifer on your channel. "Humbling River", "Mama Said", there's so much incredible work in this sideproject of Maynard. Loved this review!
I suggest CrazyEightyEight - “Shinebox” (live one-take performance by Lauren Babic) voice of an angel, scream of a demon. Love iiitttt.
Release the Babic
I bought wine off him so I got a good look up close :P
Woah! Just noticed ya hit 1 million! Just about a year ago we were celebrating your 500k! Congrats to you, your family, and all involved in making this channel a success!
I think Puscifer would make a perfect name for my cat, if I ever got one.😆
As a long time D&D player, your occasional D&D references always tickle me! And, thank you for another entertaining and informative analysis.
I love the vocals, but I'm really drawn to the bass line. Such a good sound.
The bass in this song is incredible
A Voice n' Sound Tag Team Rumble :
Elizabeth & Maynard vs. The Troll Team 💪 Lets get to it! 🤘
AnnenMayKantereit has such a cool vibe. Would love for her to look at that song.
