Windows+shift+arrow key worked for me. I just couldn't believe this being the only way in this advanced world
I love windows shift arrows, even just windows and arrows to move windows to half and quarter view, I put them in one of my windows shortcut key vids. Unfortunately that won't work in all situations. Thanks for watching and for the comment.
Thank you! The display settings in Big picture mode didnt work for me but this did. You are my hero lol
thank you for this! I have my work computer and PC connected at the same time and often get windows stuck on one of the other screens and never knew how to move them over!
Thanks! Solved in the four seconds it took me to read your comment! ❤

Thank you sooooo much. launching monitor problem had been pain in my ass for so long time!
This video is so helpful! Perfect fix, thank you!!
Such a simple video and tutorial 🤣 helped a bunch thank you very much !
Thank you! It's working like a charm!
Top video man, top video!!! :) Going to checkout your channel on the coming days... straight to the point and useful, like all videos should be done. There's so much stuff about people who don't have a clue out there
Clever and simple!
This worked, thanks!
You are a hero, I have been trying to sort this for quite a while until I came across your video, very happy gamer and thank you for sharing💚💯
It worked perfectly thanks for the tip
Thanks!
Thanks. I was smacking my head against the key board. LOL
THANKS!
that's pretty good thank you!
When you said you found a bit of a hack I was already dreading downloading something off some sketchy link 😅 this was easier than I thought. Thanks
You are a hero
cheers mate, works for me!
nice, thanks for watching
this is amazing
even it kinda does the same thing as the first step only makes it way more smooter and less work
Totally worked, thanks!
Glad it helped!
I just found windows+shift+arrow key
ive done this, ive done the windows+shift+arrow, I've disabled monitors, I've tried everything, NOTHING works, in fact when I open the game from steam it actually full screens the entire monitor, and I can't move my mouse pointer to the other screen at all unless I physically either ALT-TAB out of the game, or press the window button to bring up the task bar... stopped using Steam because this is just amateurish boulderdash
at 0:44 my checkmark for "main" was not turning off or on (always on), so I discovered I had to choose a different monitor (at the top), I choose 2 then the button worked and it switched over. That is what I needed. UPDATE Steam was still playing games in the wrong monitor window with just the Windows switch. Once I changed Steam to the big picture mode then it played on the correct monitor.
You sir are a legend. I was going crazy trying to find a solution, but I had no idea that Steam had this feature built into Big Picture Mode. Thank you so much! :)
Absolute unit
Where did you get your background from?
now i have more questions. like how do i open steam in ''big picture'' mode?
My icons from my main monitor still switch over to the new monitor that I set up Big Picture mode for. Why's that? Do the monitors all have to have the same resolution? I have one monitor that's 4K, and the others 1440p. Is this a problem?
I've change both, in windows 11 to the main monitor aswell in steam. Still dont work. Any suggestions?
Thank you SO much. Im a lil streamer and i want to hide the fact that i ran out of windows 11, so i set my second monitor (worse then my 1st) as my main display. This saved my life TYTYTY
In big picture mode I don't have those setting features!!!
Thanks for this solution, however I'm not sure this is much better then the original to be honest in terms of "time" to to make this happen. I really wish we can launch specific games to specific monitors in steam. That would be awesome.
does not work for me. BP starts on the righjt monitor, but when the game starts it jumps back to primary monitor
I literally have it switched and it's a flip of a coin whether it works
It's insane to me that Microsoft haven't figured out how or bothered to implement an official solution for this - even if they just make it so that any window you set to full screen by pressing F11 for example, it opens on the monitor of your choice.
Anyway this is an acceptable workaround, thank you!
there is no target monitor option for me
It does not matter which monitor I chose it still is the same. An the interface I think it is outdated.
Anyone else not get those settings when in the Display mode? All I have is Windowed option and Disable GPU Blocklist . . .
I think they have moved these options in recent updates, I'll see about doing an updated vid.
why does my steam look different and not have this setting in big picture mode
they updated steam
big picture still has these options, they have just moved things around a little in recent updates
Not working for me, have 3 monitor and tried all 3 option and game always open on the same.
didnt work for me either
Windows Key + Shift + Arrow key while game is active in the direction of the screen change.

Problem is if i do this and switch my game from my 1440p monitor to my 4k tv i cant select the 4k resolution in game. It wont go higher than 1440p
A bit outdated in the way steam has changed things. Ended up having to set my big monitor has the main monitor (as this is what Big Picture Mode does now) and moving my desktop icons onto my secondary monitor that I normally use as my main monitor. It's annoying that Big Picture Mode just temporarily changes the monitor you select to be your main monitor and switches everything back once you exit, as it takes the desktop icons along with it when it switches, defeating the purpose of trying this workaround. At least, this is how it's working in windows 11 for me in November 2023.
Yeah iw ould love to do that except stupid ass windows 11 wont let you move your task bar
Didn't work for me, windows 11
Interesting to know. I only run win 11 on my laptop, but multiple monitors seem to operated differently on a laptop. Thanks for the comment 👍
THANKKKKKKKK YOUUUUU FUCKING SM ARGHHHHH
doesn't work
Hold shift+windows+arrow, it's that simple. I was looking for a solution and it's the second thing that appears on Google underneath this video. Way easier. Just click the arrow either right or left depending on how many monitors you have and which order they're in.
Thank you. You helped a lot. Never thought of this
It's that simple, except my games are not recognizing the difference in Hz my monitors. If it starts on my 60Hz main monitor, that's all the game will give when I move it
outdated
dislike for the overly long intro, sorry bud
I appreciate your honest feedback, thanks. I keep the intros to a minimum in my newer vids.
