For a Rally game, we're showing an awful lot of the GT class cars. Almost all of them. More on brand to stick to the likes of the Group B, Group A, 2000cc and R5 cars me thinks. =p
Rally Drivers are the most skillful drivers in the worlds. Like the kind of things need to go through. Tarmac, Dirt,Grass, Narrows streets, trees and people everywhere, uneven terrains, rocks, high speed, 0 controllable setting where everything is prepared to not fail. I respect those drivers more than anyone else
@@zwjna I respectfully disagree, but that’s fair bro. Both rally drivers and IOMTT riders are incredibly talented. I hope you have a nice day my friend.
@@realgucman Sure they are. But the original poster is talking about the set of skills needed to do rallying, compared to pretty much anything else motorsports-wise. I sure think that the nature of rallying imposes the highest number of requirements that practicioner drivers must meet. That is to say: rallying requires more skills than most other forms of motorsport - including, in my opinion, IOMTT. It's worth noting that I'm not using "skill" and "talent" as synonyms. Let's say that a driver's talent is his ability to gather and sharpen his skills. Following that logic, I'm absolutely convinced, and nothing can change my mind, that Max Verstappen, Fernando Alonso, Ayrton Senna, Michael Schumacher, and any other top-level circuit driver, for example, are less skilled than Sébastien Loeb, Sébastien Ogier, Carlos Sainz Senior, Tommi Mäkinen, Colin McRae, etc. But they, just like Loeb and company, are incredibly talented, so we can be as convinced that they could gather those skills they lack and sharpen them as much as the others did. When it comes to talent, it's not about the category, but about the drivers that perform it. And surely WRC, IOMTT, F1, etc. have incredibly talented drivers. But most definitely, for me, WRC requires the most skills.

He needs the in-car view to get a better feel of the car and even reviewing it. Would love to see some Irish Rally on a game. Narrow bumpy with some cow shite. That’s a challenge
I’m actually glad this guy did a review. You can tell he’s in the last few years gotten somewhere he’s real proud of and feels more like a rally driver so it’s like he has somethin to prove or atleast talks about the sport as if he’s tryna make it look good. I love to see that because it allows for a genuine review of the game and an actual comparison to real life. Drivers who been in it longer would probably be more inclined just to review it as a game and avoid actual comparisons so it don’t seem like they’re just shitting on it since games from their era and mine were never meant to be realistic so I even find it hard personally using realism as a comparison.
Love to see the Camaro get a bit of spotlight. As an owner of a fifth Gen, that road would terrify me. Beast has a hard enough time in the rain, forget the snow. Definitely gotta invest in a good sim rig.
That last run is a decent representation of how I play with a controller lmao. Definitely not on ice though! The 4x4 does a lot of the work for me. I'm awful with rear wheel drive
The ice stage is tricky thus you need to setup the differentials for the car to be able to compromise on different grips between the left and right tyres since the ice patches can be in either left or right side but will also make the car to be more on the grippy handling harder to drift in corners on dry roads.
Great reaction, especially with the times, the engine sounds, and Monte Carlo. It's kinda vindicating to know an actual Rally driver thinks Monte Carlo is demanding as hell. I am a bit miffed with the Porsche, because that clearly looks like a 911 GT3 RS to me.
Excellent video thank you. Could you please do a video where you explain your force feedback settings for dirt rally 2 and your settings in the game to make it feel as realistic in a SIM as it does in real life? particularly the tire friction and wheel friction and center force are settings. I don’t quite understand them yet and I’m not sure how it should feel because I’ve never driven a real rally car. I am using the Fanatec podium (20 Nm) at 70%.
I'd love to see his comments on rally/rallycross in non-simuator games like Wreckfest, Dirt 5 or Forza Horizon 5. How much authenticity they keep, despite running less complex driving physics than dedicated sims.
kinda annoyed almost all the cars showcased are RGT vehicles. like Bell said he drives a WRC2 spec Skoda Fabia which is in the game so would've been nice to see him comment on how it handles in game compared to real life and see what different. also see him look at some older cars like the Lancia Delta, Evo VI and the current FWD vehicles, and also the obligatory Group B monster machine

It is impossible because 3 left is different at 170km/h than 90km/h. At dirt rally 2 you can see where some longer stages are seperated to two different stages when suddenly same number corners starts being sharper and slower than before.
@@jjeeqq Every driver has its own way of doing pacenotes. But usually, you'll want to know the turn intensity and the length of the corner. Your speed shouldn't change your pacenotes. If you have good pacenotes, you can actually picture the corner in your head even if you can't see it yet.

Nice to hear the commentary and I have several Rally games, but I am not even close to beaing able to doing good rally stages like in this video.
