I like the look of it but I was curious how you would attach it to the frame of the bed, but it looks like you didn't. How would you attach it to the bed frame if you wanted to?
Alicia White my bed frame has slots that you can put a bolt into to attach to the headboard. The legs line up perfectly with those holes so that it can be attached. 🙏🏼

Simplest headboard ever! (cuts down 2x6s cause they're just not quite up to par, uses miter saw for diagonal cuts, cuts recesses into boards and drills for dowels which are then used.)
GREAT looking headboard though.
I guess a simpler headboard would be grabbing a sheet of plywood from Lowe’s and screw it to the wall. Voilà done! 😅

How do h attach it to the frame
Most frames have a space for lag bolts and you can just drill holes through your headboard and put them in. 👍🏻

You should start seeing cracks in those boards after a time. you have to allow for those boards to shrink and swell with the seasons or you will run into problems.
This isn`t a roof, a few cracks won`t change much especially if against a darker coloured wall.
@@allanwrench Obviously it isn't a roof but you are still going to have problems with your builds if you do not understand and allow for that wood movement. Woodworking 101. Give it time. Some lessons have to be learned the Hardaway.
You forgot to add the handlebars.
Headboard would look better with some padding to it. Safety first! Lol glad to see some commentary in the video too

It's real simple if you have a large woodworking shop. I have a handsaw and power drill.
Hey Walt, did you watch the video? My shop is 10’x16’. It’s tiny. I built it when I was 25 by saving money and getting it done over time. My tools are humble but enough to get the job done. Maybe prioritize saving for the equipment you want?
@@TheReformationWoodshop Yes, I can well afford the equipment, but I currently live in a condo with very limited free space and where noisy power tools would bother the neighbors. I'll get proper tools after I move.

lol, this is most certainly not the easiest headboard. Who has a 5k workshop to do this...still it was fun to watch...for 3 min.
Everything I did in this video could be done with a circular saw and drills though. 😅 You may be in the wrong craft if this is too high level.
I needed to see what and why he was cutting what he did. This didn’t help me at all 😊
