  • Follow this simple DIY video to create your own headboard extension for my super popular King Size Floating Bed Frame. You can easily create this yourself or modify it as needed with both standard and metric measurements provided. You will use the same tools and materials for this build that you used in the frame build. As always, I reply to comments and requests for guidance as quickly as I can. Please feel free to reach me on Instagram at realc_love1. I’ll be more than happy to help with your custom build. Media captured with an Iphone XS Max and Ipad Pro and video was created in iMovie on MacBook Pro M1.
    The original King Size Floating Bed Frame video has made it to the following countries, as per comments from users that I have never met or previously spoken with...this isn't a totally complete list but I do update it from time to time; (updated 06.18.2023): United States 🇺🇸 , Botswana 🇧🇼, Jamaica 🇯🇲, Canada 🇨🇦, Netherlands 🇳🇱, Slovakia 🇸🇰, Mexico 🇲🇽, Serbia 🇷🇸, Belize 🇧🇿, Brazil 🇧🇷, Norway 🇳🇴, Somalia 🇸🇴, Uzbekistan 🇺🇿, Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹, Spain 🇪🇸, Dominica 🇩🇲, Guyana 🇬🇾, Pakistan 🇵🇰, Australia 🇦🇺, Kenya 🇰🇪, Ghana 🇬🇭, Switzerland 🇨🇭, South Africa 🇿🇦, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, India 🇮🇳, Philippines 🇵🇭, Romania 🇷🇴, Zambia 🇿🇲, Nepal 🇳🇵, Cameroon 🇨🇲, Bermuda 🇧🇲, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Belgium 🇧🇪, Sweden 🇸🇪, Haiti 🇭🇹, France 🇫🇷, United Kingdom 🇬🇧, Tanzania 🇹🇿, Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦, Germany 🇩🇪, New Zealand 🇳🇿, Bahamas 🇧🇸, Ukraine 🇺🇦, Barbados 🇧🇧, Argentina 🇦🇷, Democratic/Republic of the Congo 🇨🇩 🇨🇬, Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Poland 🇵🇱, Sierra Leone 🇸🇱, Costa Rica 🇨🇷, Colombia 🇨🇴, Sudan 🇸🇩, Malaysia 🇲🇾, Mauritius 🇲🇺, Great Britain 🇬🇧, Grenada 🇬🇩, Portugal 🇵🇹, Czech Republic 🇨🇿, Uganda 🇺🇬, Hungary 🇭🇺, Brunei 🇧🇳, Papua New Guinea 🇬🇳, Croatia 🇭🇷, Bangladesh 🇧🇩, Cook Islands 🇨🇰

    Thanks to Luke Bramblett...
    At two minutes and forty five seconds, when I'm detailing the material you will need for the floating night stands, I say that you will need a 2x6, but as my very detail oriented friend pointed out to me, I should have said to use a 1x6. Hopefully you can see the difference in the thickness of the boards on the screen, but I did want to take the time to point this out to everyone.

    C Love what’s up man, I’m a Journeyman Carpenter and been at it for over 10 years. Watched your king size floating bed frame DIY and love it. Built one and now I’m ready to build another one. Your videos are straightforward and informative, which enables your viewers to feel confident going about the task....I had a lot of fun building this and used all your dimensions...I added 90° metal clips in all 4 corners on the smaller frame on top though. Keep making these videos. I’m on to the headboard project next! 🤘🏼

      @Matthew Nerlfi Hey Matthew, how are you my brother? Man, I can't thank you enough for your comment here. I have to sit here and re-read it a couple of times to make sure, but this might be the best comment I've received on my channel in the almost 3 years that I've been producing and posting TH-cam videos. I got real lucky with the floating bed frames and I do genuinely love woodworking. My video editing has gotten a whole lot better by now I think and I do really love getting to talk to you guys like this. Your comment here cements in my mind that I am doing the right thing by posting these videos. I wish I could shake your hand and maybe build something with you some time. You are the real hero here. I very much appreciate your time, support, and encouragement. I have since upgraded to those ninety degree corner brackets to secure the base to the frame...a suggestion from another one of my viewers. I hope you are always safe while you build and I very much look forward to talking with you again some time down the road. Take care Matthew.

    Dang! That 45 angled cut top is fancy and the auxiliary bilateral shelves give it a plus.

      @Don Distrito Thanks so much. I don’t use all that fancy terminology though. This is just something I just put together for fun. It’s a simple build and turns out pretty great.

      @Loco Dog Thanks a whole lot my friend 🙏. I’m so moved by comments like yours here that I didn’t even notice that I’m talking to a dog! You absolutely have to have the best bed of any canine that I know! I’m also thoroughly impressed with your dexterity to type this message. What other tricks can you do!? Are you famous? 😂 Seriously though, thank you a million times for your continued support. People like you are the ones that push me *hard* to keep going. Make sure and notice that this video is for the king size floating bed frame…”DIY Floating Bed Frame 3.0” and “Part 2 - the headboard” in the videos section on my channel are specifically for the queen size. I hope this helps. I really appreciate your feedback, correspondence, support, and compliments. I mean it. Thank you. Talk to you soon.

      @iEvEtSi Hey I, thanks so much for for your time, encouragement, support, and recommendations, I appreciate this a lot. I would like to put all the info in the description too, but then you and I wouldn’t get to talk here! Seriously though, my videos are to help you spawn ideas for yourself. I never know exactly how you guys are going to want to build your bed frames so I try to make myself very available on my Instagram C_Love1984 to help you out. Some want just the basic frame and then come back and ask me how to modify it to add a headboard, some want storage underneath, some don’t have a box spring…I’ve helped everyone with every possible combination at this point. Talk to me soon and let’s plan your build out.

    • @CurtisMadeIt
      @CurtisMadeIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @CurtisMadeIt
      @CurtisMadeIt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @jtizzal Hey, good morning J. It depends on the look you are going for, but this build was just a 2x6 for the uprights, several 1x6’s for the cross boards and floating night stands, and a 1x8 for the top. I hope this helps. Feel free to reach me on Instagram realc_love1

    • @CurtisMadeIt
      @CurtisMadeIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Anh Dinh Hey Anh, this build uses a couple of different sizes of screws. The uprights secure to the frame with 2 1/2” screws. The cross boards and night stands use 1 1/2” screws. Make sure to pre-drill all of your holes. I hope this helps! Talk to you soon.
