There’s some nice affordable TTartisan and vintage macro lenses for anyone who needs to experiment on a budget. I’m on l mount and want the new lumix 100mm, but currently run the EF 100mm 2.8 and it works perfectly fine. Go out there and make stuff people!
I was thinking any macro would match with the other dzo vespids because it’s only close macro film shots ..what do u think ? Ima be using a Rf 100 2.8 canon on the c70 so would it be a waste to get this lens too ?
I very much enjoy my Vespid 21, 40 and 75mm primes. Great color, interesting contrast character, minimal breathing and overall great build quality. I've been lusting for a macro lens, and this 90mm macro is an obvious choice. Your examples show then lens has great control over CA, which plagues many lenses. I can "get by" with my 75mm for portraits and interviews, so I'm not sure if the 90mm would be useful for more than just macro work. Maybe I'll find a great deal on a used one. Anyway, thanks for the review.
On sticks it’s not too bad but handheld is definitely a challenge with how sensitive the focus throw is. I’d use it for interviews for sure and close down the aperture
@ is it the lens or the fact it’s a 90mm ? would a 100mm vespids focus easier being it’s not a macro , it’s puzzling because the dzo vespids are not linear , they should all focus fairly easy .
Haha this isn't a teue macro as its minimum focus distance is 0.258 meters and its a 90mm focal length. The lumix 100mm 2.8 is a true 1:1 macro and has a minimum focal distance of 0.204 meters therefore this lens cannot be a true macro
For the purposes of filmmaking, the technical terms aren’t as important as the end product. Does this lens do great close up almost macro shots? Yes? Then who cares 😂 ?

That EF 100mm 2.8 is the first macro lens I ever used, a classic! I’ve heard good things about TTartisan as well!

I heard it works well as a normal portrait-y length lens aswell though? Thoughts?@creativegreatsvisuals
On the cheap cheap side, I've gotten some nice macro shots with extension tubes and teleconverters.
That’s dope! Whatever works fr
So well done bruv!
Thanks bro! And thanks for helping with that piece!
WHat a brilliant clip. Great work mate
Thank you!!

Are you using them on full frame or s35?
How do u feel about using this as a 90mm lens and not a macro ? How hard is it to focus on sticks ?

Hey Dustin, was this shot on Red ?
This was on the Sony a7siii actually!
close up dustin content
It’s actually Jacob hahaha
Mate how did you stabilise the movements when pulling focus across the book page? Great work again
I had the camera on tripod and then added stabilization in davinci bc it was still a little shaky!
🔥
What do y'all think about macro lenses? Do you have one in your kit?
Love macros. Have a set of Jupiters we can play with it ✌🏾
I am very down for that!
@@DustinHarrelson sick! Let’s plan something next week or soon!

Of course a new released lens is gonna be better than a 9 year-old lens. :p
@duyvu9323 not the point. That lens says its a 1:1 macro when it isn't
The DZO does say it’s a 1.5x macro on the side of the lens. But I appreciate the info, I actually wasn’t fully aware of the difference!
