No one gunna comment on the “took two hours to take this out “ proceeds to show three bolts . The irony is how true this shit can be . It’s always the “this will take 15 mins tops” followed by 3 hours and 2 trips to the part store 😂😂😂
I added mine but after a certain amount of driving miles the check engine light comes on and I reset it since I’m from NY thank god I did my inspection but when it’s time to do the inspection again it has to come off to pass but all ends it sounds great especially with my AFE intake Apollo exhaust and AFE turbo tubes
There is no check engine light so it should be cool. It’s all the way below the engine block and it’s hidden pretty well. The part is small enough I don’t think it will be seen unless you get checked by a state referee. Plus if you get black it blends in with everything else. Worst case scenario just remove 3 screws if you don’t pass haha
@@leppofficiali did it on mine and I don’t know why computer pop check engine light on life if turbo were failing by any chance you have an idea why ??
I had a 2000 chevy wt with the 4.3 . I got it brand new. It was about $20,000 out the door. I was age 19 when i got it payments were $273. But it was very plain no power windows or locks. Very plain exterior. And i was never happy not having a v8. At that time it was possible to get a v8 and it has more features it would be an ls. But they were almost $30k out of the question back then. I sold it and i regret not keeping it even as a v6
In México a brand new 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 4.3 manual trans no A/C had a retail of $160,000.00 pesos, aprox 16,000.00 dollars. My Dad bought one back then. Very smooth ride like a 4 doors car, good torque, reliable 4.3 Vortec, precise manual transmission. You didn't miss all the fancy and luxury stupid features nowdays.
I bought my 02 Silverado ext cab WT with 4.8 liter V8 for 24k back then, I still own it, has 117k miles on it! It’s still dent rust free! I just bought a Colorado Trail Boss 41k and payed it off by doing Lyft with my Corolla , these will be my last trucks! I love them both
Seems like after 2010 trucks got out of hand. I remember when I paid 12,000 for my brand new 2001 ls, and 20000 for my 2009. FF I paid damn near 41k for my 2023. I hate to see the cost in about 12 more years.
I have the exact same truck color and all I just bought. Going to tune it but the BOV sounds sweet. What size tires are they? Looks nice. Is that a 4x4?
I don’t believe so…. Really only just added a cool sound to the turbo. My engine light didn’t come on or anything. But I will update you here if anything happens.
@@leppofficial any update? What about oil loss? I heard in another video the individual added this and noticed oil spraying out of it all over his engine bay. All I can think is he has a bad seal somewhere with that much loss.
@@nicklen6873 I installed one. Oil loss was exactly the same as before the adapter. However even though it’s minuscule loss, it’s in a spray like form so it gets everywhere. Not only that, but you lose your “pre spool” with a lack of better terms. So if you let off the gas and floor it again it’s a dog while it tries to rebuild boost, where factory pushes that pressure back into the intake so it’s a smaller loss. I also ended up seeing a mustang eco boost run one, he was receiving fuel spikes when letting off the throttle causing him to run rich. (I believe it to be the calculation of the air that should be being dumped back into the intake) After finding a lot more info online basically supporting “don’t do it”, I removed the adapter a week after installing it. 0 function, a few cons. Only pro is noise. But that’s just me. My knowledge is only what I’ve read online or seen in TH-cam videos.
A BOV venting to atmosphere is 0% for performance. Literally only does something when you come off the throttle. High HP applications might need an upgrade simply to HOLD more boost.
@@trevorfarlette9996 yes the 3.0 had that problem, but many 2.7 owners are reporting around a quart of oil consumption between oil changes at low miles.

Did you turn off your air filter life duration? I’ve read you need to reset air filter to 100% and then disable the feature. All done in the menu (mine was in the center gauge menu) not the radio menu. Just a thought.

It was easy enough to do myself but those 3 bolts were hard to get to. Also the fact the stupid air intake was a mf to take off 😂😂

Have you observed any oil coming out of the blowoff?
are you going to upgrade the cluster for a newer one

Did this cause a MAF P1101 code for any that has installed this?

How much was everything to get it installed
You can find ones of these for like, $14 online and do it yourself

Nope zero issue so far.

You most likely installed it incorrectly. If the car senses too much air it will shut off. This is nothing but an adapter.
