Thanks for tuning into the weekly breakdowns of Yellowstone, it's been great covering this season! What did you think of the ending? Let me know your thoughts in the comments
Neither the Beth & Rip nor the West Camp stories would have enough meat on the story line to justify a spin off. TS placed them out there though so they can intwine with the Madison or 6666 if he wants but dedicating an hour to strictly ranch life would grow old fast. Think about it how much time did we really spend with the Cowboys doing cowboy stuff, and most of that time we did still went back to the overall story arc of saving the ranch.
Taylor certainly let everyone know whose (metaphorical)ball it was and that he was taking it home with him. What a remarkable example in self-insertion and vanity; I personally didn't appreciate it. Guess we're left with what ifs and what could have beens.
The scene with the house and barn being torn down, the giant Y being taken down, and the gravestones being pushed over saddened and enraged me. Glad moe stopped that.
That scene should not have been in it. Would never have happened, as disrespectful to the people who fought for the land and were laid to rest on it. The series showed how both parties respected each other when it came to the land and what both wanted. Guess that was Sheridans idea!
I agree. That bothered me too. It showed that Thomas announced that their land was returned but he did not communicate the respect that this generations sacrifice to do the right thing. That hurt my heart.
Kayce didn’t ask a single question about jaime? No one but beth ever knew he had a kid. She murders him in his home and gets a happy ending haha. This whole season was shit. Yellowstone was over years ago
@@jieprelampago I stopped liking Taylor/Travis the moment he offed Colby for absolutely no reason at all. Kayce/Monica got their ending, Ryan and his girl got theirs, Walker and his lady, Jimmy and his lady, Rip/Beth the killers even got a happy ending, but nooo Colby and Teeter, no sir'reeee. F Sheridan for that
I think part of Kayce still wanted to believe Jamie was never truly involved in killing their father. That was all Sarah's doing, even Jamie was surprised at it and probably didn't want to do things that way.
The whole thing sucked after season 2, 3 max. And the only terrible person or I should say, the most terrible was Beth. Absolutely terrible. I mean heck she got rid of rips kid all by herself and never said a word about it. Which is probably best because she didn't need a dog much less a child, and they made out like she was some kind of great person. Absolutely not. Jaime was better than any of them. That whole family just wanted to use him for political powers.
I see Travis (TS) as a normal cowboy boss, I heard a saying here in Texas " you can always tell an ole boy, but you can't tell him much", most cowboys are ego driven.
You don't own shows that have been streamed. Even if you " purchase" them. With DVD I can watch it anytime I want. 10 years from now, if l, should wish. Plus one time purchase price, instead of a monthly fee.
eBay, Vintage Stock. I imagine Amazon has it, though I've not checked today. Half priced books, likely have it. Lots of places, with a little research. In a short while, second hand stores will have it, 😉
Yellowstone fans, we felt the finale deserved a tribute. We've created a heartfelt song inspired by the Dutton family and posted it on our TH-cam channel-let us know what you think!
Jamie’s blood (DNA) all over the floor made Beth’s story to the DA an eye roll + taking his body out of the house in broad daylight - in a residential area - made that aspect of it tough to believe. Kind of a sloppy finish to that aspect of it.
First: They were in a fight and Beth stabbed him “protecting” herself, so Jamie’s DNA would be all over that scene. Second: When the coroner shows up to collect the body, they don’t do it under the cover of darkness, they bag it and take it, no matter what time of day it is, and whether it’s in a residential neighborhood, or a business complex makes no matter. Seen it done hundreds of times.
@pazdormir4744 That's fine and all, but there was no body. Rip dumped the body at the "train station." To the DA, Jamie disappears and is missing. Being Beth was the last one to see him, she'd be the prime suspect.
@@buckeyestate5133 Jamie did disappear, making Beth the only one talking. The DA can suspect in one hand and crap in the other… guess which one fills up first? No witnesses, no evidence, you just have a victim of assault left at the scene… prime suspect of what?
The last season felt Sheridan didn’t do justice to John Dutton. I fell both Kevin and Sheridan weren’t respectful to the millions of fans that made the series what it became Epic and everlasting a brilliant series. They both should’ve had the best to give to a finale worth remembering..unfortunately this wasn’t the case. To the rest of the cast thank you for an amazing. Performance 💛💛💛💛Bravo
I think it had to end like that because you can get to much of a good thing. Kevin and Sheridan probably planned the whole thing for it to end that way. Good ending
For sure. Witnesses could easily put Rip there, he and Lloyd moving the body outside, etc. Why would Jamie just go on the run - and burn his car - in his position too?
@@dontrumpjr2244 the FBI agent that interviewed Beth already had his suspicions that Jaime was involved in Johns death, or at the very least, had knowledge of it and after Sarah Atwood being murdered, he was connected even more. Why would he not run? he ran the risk of the whole story coming out, especially after Beth threatened to give up his secrets. It was very plausible that he beat Beth senseless and ran like hell
I know I’m in the minority on this matter but I feel sorry for Jamie. I know I’m supposed to hate him as much as Beth but I don’t. Sheridan succeeded in making him complex as possible so he’s not a cartoon villain but he simultaneously failed to make me hate him. He wasn’t evil like Ramsey Bolton, Arthur Mitchell, Joffrey Baratheon, or Angelus. He was an abused kid who was made into the thing they hated and punished him for it. Having ambition and doing what you want doesn’t warrant capital punishment. John said he raised him with love and respect which was complete bullshit. He raised all his kids with fear, intimidation, and punishment. He was a horrible father. Kick a dog long enough and soon it’ll turn on you. Beth and John repeatedly abusing Jamie got old real quick. Her and Jamie have had the same argument every single season and never changed. Like some Game of Thrones characters at the end, Jamie got more cowardly and stupid to the point where suspension of disbelief got thrown out the window. I half expected him to record a last testimony exposing their secrets as a final 🖕🏼to this family but it never happened.
don't agree John did a poor job as a father towards all his children. they all kind of figured out the way forward beth became a fighter for her father, kayce became a man who wanted a loving peacefull family and sadly jamie never found himself he didn't stand for anything thats why he ket being tossed about and manipulated by everyone.he didnt even stand for himself
I had hoped we learned why John adopted Jamie, why he took Beth to that clinic, and why he took all her rage when she decided to have the treatment and was so afraid of her father. She tortured her adopted brother who was already treated like garbage. I had no wish for her to have a happy ending.
Beth is so full of herself. The way she talks to people as though she knows better. How she walks and moves all dramatic like she’s the center of the Universe. She’s a drunk that speeds and is verbally abusive to strangers, physically violent, over the top.
A lot of people may have been disappointed but I personally felt it was a good ending to a great show. Beth delivered to Jamie what she promised the Indians got what they deserved and Kayce and his family were free to live their life the way they wanted. The cowboys would end up doing what they loved at other ranches. What more could you want? I was so glad that other major characters were not killed off and we got to see what they did with their lives. All in all a great ending!
I think the biggest beneficiary of the last episode was country music star Lainey Wilson, who had the largest TV audience she's ever had or ever will have. She IS a fine performer, actress and not hard on the eyes either. Cut out the scenes of the Indians tearing up the place to avenge their forefathers and about 20 minutes worth of unnecessary filler and I'd say it was just fine. At least Beth took out her cowardly brother which is why everyone watched it in the first place.
@DeborahMorelock with the new spin-off with Rip and Beth I think Christina will be the main villian she was the power behind Jamie and she loved him but had a hatred for John and Beth she knew about Garrett Jamie's natural father and I believe the train station it was important for her that the baby had that Dutton legacy I believe the war between the Dutton's have just begun I hope Carter and Tate are being prepared to tangle with Cristina and little James Dutton her son I doubt Beth will tale Carter about the train station and Kaycee doesn't want Tate mixed up with that family history but we know a storm is coming in this spinoff
What did he forgive him for ? All his dad did was fight for the ranch to be able to pass it down to Kayce and he gave it away spit on all John’s sacrifices and his ancestors sacrifices kayce Is a disappointment
@@sergiorodriguez1829 Kacey never wanted the ranch. John was always doing things to manipulate him and his family to be there. When Kacey disobeyed him when he was a teenager by marrying Monica, John branded him with a Y. Kacey just wanted to be with his wife and child, and he always felt that he was being forced into a life he did not want. That’s why he ultimately makes the choice of his family over the ranch, but he still finds a way to preserve what his father fought for: the natural land.
@@sergiorodriguez1829 It made very little sense. It was like Kacey was a child and he couldn't' make his own decisions. So him being enrolled into the ranch police and having to potentially become it's leader was seen to him as a burden his dad put on him. Poor you(Kayce), you have a family legacy cry me a river. And Jesus Christ, the dude was some black ops specialist, you'd think he'd have a bit of a thicker skin and stronger will than that. No wonder he's with a wallflower couldn't handle anything that has a stronger will than a light breeze.
My Dad said before he died, it cannot be certain our wishes will be carried out. That was so true. As best as you document, construct, "estate plan", forces ultimate determine the course of the stuff we leave behind when we die.
I would hope Taylor Sheridan will give us fans what his original ending was when he began the show. With Costner leaving, that changed up the original plans. Hopefully we'll know what that was supposed to be one day for some closure. I didn't like most of these new episodes. There was basically a few moments in each episode that was worthy of telling us something. Most of it felt like 'filler' for Taylor Sheridan to show off himself and his riding ability. But I've been waiting a long time for the final showdown between Beth and Jamie. And man, was I happy with that scene. All in all, I'll miss this show. But glad the land was returned how it was. I did get sad watching everything the Dutton's built being torn down. But it was a fitting ending in the end.
I'm pretty sure he had that ending planned long before Costner left the show since the seeds were already planted in 1883. I believe Costner leaving the show just excellerated his plans to end it sooner. What I wonder is how different the show would have been had Costner never left and how many more seasons could it have gone.
It was clear the land would given back to the tribe. Perhaps it would have been gifted/sold by John to "keep it whole". But I think the season fehlt kind of off, especially the texas storyline.
Gosh the show runner and writer ruined this completely him getting to famous and big headed. Thinking he was bigger than Costner and the show didn’t need him
The world is replete with egotistical men who butt heads. Some find a way to work together, and some don't. Costner and Sheridan are equally big headed.
Yellowstone is done. It went from being one of the best series ever to blah at the end and I won't bother watching a spin off knowing Sheridan will shoehorn himself in where he's not needed. He did it again in a five minute vanity piece tonight. He was loud, louder than anyone in any episode in any season, and his effort contributed nothing, absolutely nothing. He has the appeal of a Meghan Markle character dripping with narcissistic desperation. Kelly Reilly as Beth was incredible, without her talent the finale would have limped to an insipid end.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds him annoying as fuck, in all his screen time all he does is insult people and tries so hard to be edgy, so full of himself.
Agree. Will not watch anything else from him. He'll either railroad himself into it or shut it down when we the viewers are fully invested by watching.
Try being Taylor Sheridan before running your mouth. He's a smart guy. I'm still waiting for 1923 to continue so I'd rather this get over so he can focus on that. Kevin Costner always said he would be on Yellowstone for 3 years but he stayed for 5.
@@dianagonsalves but Sheridan is a egotistical narcissist there was no reason for him or the 6666 ranch to be in a major focus of so many episodes Definitely won’t be watching the 6666 spin off since the best character won’t be there aka Beth
I found kayce having zero interest in his legacy , crying because he was so happy he was free. Finally free of that horrible place his father and ancestors created . I was hoping Tate would step up and say I want the ranch at least the home and a thousand acres to keep the legacy of his grandfather alive . Sell the rest to Indians to save the land. Kayce had said it was up to Tate . That would have allowed a chance for the Yellowstone ranch and the possible sequel would have had a chance
Yeah I can see selling land and not wanting a giant ranch and all that pressure. But the house was their family home and the real legacy. A better ending would have been the tribe buying for a more realistic price. Kayce still gets eastern camp, but he should have kept some of the expensive horses and started a horse breeding ranch, whatever happened to him being a horse whisperer? But also Beth and Rip keep the house, barns, bunkhouse, cemetery and some land. They could have had their 7,000 acre ranch right there. Made it where the Duttons realize at the end why the place means so much, maybe have shown a spot where the family had measured each Dutton child who had grown up there sine it was built and of course the cemetery. Making them realize one of them had to stay and keep the house no matter. Beth may not have wanted a ranch but her husband did. What better gift could she have given him than being the owner the Yellowstone, even if smaller. Remember Beth had looked into selling beef not cows? That should have been the plan. LOL they could have made it where Beth and Rip create a beef empire and need more land. The tribe after not getting approval from federal gov to annex land, face huge property taxes. We now get the tribe going through drama of should they sell or keep it and the Yellowstone Wheeler Ranch going after the land lol
@@keganengelke8886 That was my idea also that way Beth is always close to her dead father. Plus, Loyd wanted to stay at the only ranch he knew and this way he could. Yes, the horse breeding and the beef sales were 2 very good ideas that seemed to go to the wayside. Beth so easily giving up her family home seemed ridiculous even if Kayce wanted to forget about it. He wasn't living there anymore anyway.
I think Sheridan forgot that for the first few seasons Tate loved his grandfather yeah he would definitely want to preserve some of his memory and retain as much as he could,,
Do you like that they got the happy ending? I kind of hate that shit. No one in this show deserves a happy ending, and in the real world they wouldn’t get a happy ending. This whole season just kind of seems like a big disappointment.
The adopted kid who was used and tossed away because he didn’t obey the family 100 percent gets killed by the sociopathic sister because she can’t take any responsibility for her part in a mistake that was made when she and her brother were teens, a mistake made mainly because they feared their fathers reaction and her and her serial killer husband are the hero couple to root for. lol And before some say Rip is not a serial killer wiki says a serial killer (also called a serial murderer) is a person who murders three or more people,[1] with the killings taking place over a significant period of time in separate events. So he fits lol
Don't forget no one investigates people disappearing and there are no security cameras anywhere in rich people's homes. And everything is 20 minutes from the ranch! Even Texas!
No, rip was an enforcer hit man attack dog for John dutton, not a serial killer. Serial killers by definition kill 3 or more to fulfill a psychological gratification personal to them. Rip killed only to protect the ranch and the family. So tired of people saying this. Jaime was a narcissistic baby who killed an innocent woman with his bare hands to protect himself. He had no problem hitting women and got what he deserved.
I so agree with you. I don't know why they made Rip and Beth the stars of the show and everybody loves them. She now is a killer and also an assessory after the fact since she knew about Jamie killing his father and Rip well we know he has killed many and John was no angel either he ordered many to be killed. John adopted Jamie so he could use and abuse him because he wasn't his. He never treated Kayce or Beth the way he treated Jamie. He told Jamie that he was going to Harvard when he was a teen didn't matter if he wanted to or not then when Jamie became a lawyer John verbally abused him all the time and let Beth as well. I tell ya Sheridan is all about being abusive he writes about it and also his parts were always verbally belittling the characters.
It's sad how Yellowstone sputtered in the end. They could have wrapped up Yellowstone in a 2 hour episode and be done with. Instead we got a 7 episode Sheridan ego trip. uuuuugh
Just a minor detail. After all there weren't any cameras in the Governor's house were there? Beth telling the sheriff ...laughable! My big fan partner said WTF was that?
They bugged the house without it being shown. You don't think after murdering Sarah and Jamie having cops in his home that they didn't remove the bugs once they had the sex tape? These are hardly plot holes, it's more you guys not applying any common sense.
A battle of egos & Sheridan carrying on, in real life, that arrogant pr$ck attitude that his characters - starting the first time I became aware of him as Hale, a jerk cop on Sons of Anarchy, up until Travis in Yellowstone. He needs to stick to writing & directing cuz no one wants to see him onscreen!! John Dutton deserved a graceful & respectful ending & Sheridan wouldn’t let that happen no matter how much it was deserved or wanted by the fans!!
HOW... did they get a dead body out of Jamie's house, and clean the blood??? I guess no one on their street has Ring cameras, showing Beth and Rip entering his house, and DRAGGING a body out!?!?
And then the cops just believe every word of Beth's story. "Yep, guy took off with bear spray in his eyes and losing half the blood in his body. Nothing to see here."
They rolled Jaime's body up in a carpet. All the neighbors would have seen would have been two guys taking out an old carpet. Now if neighbors had been questioned by police, they would have connected the dots and realized Beth was lying and want to know who those two guys were.
Jaime is the textbook definition of treat someone like a anti villain long enough and they become a villian? The man has been trying to make logical decisions for this family which isn't even his, yet he is made a villain by John and Beth. I am glad he is fighting back after years of emotional, psychological and physical abuse he had to endure. John and Beth are the reason Jamie is the way he is. It always bothered me how people make Jamie out to be the bad guy without looking at the context. He's no angel, but compared to the rest of the family, he's a saint. He isn't at all selfish, hence him saying he doesn't want the ranch for himself. Rather, for his nephew and son. It all starts when he was 17. Back then, John asks Jamie what he wants to be when he grows up. Jamie said with a big smile on his face, "You, Dad. I wanna be just like you and do your job." But then, John said "Well, son, I want you to go to school to be a lawyer." Jamie's smile immediately disappeared and he was clearly shocked and disappointed (even asking some questions on the why). He was shocked because he knows John hates lawyers, but John's only response was "Be one I like." Because Jamie was so loyal, he did what he was told. As far as the Beth abortion issue, that scene clearly took place not long after his above-mentioned Lawyer thing with John, hence Jamie saying it was his last day on the ranch. Jamie, again, was only 17. Barely older than Beth. She wasn't asking him for lunch money or handling a bully. She asked him to help her gut a baby in secret. A teenaged girl has no business asking her teenaged brother to handle an adult-level situation like that. And secrecy is basically impossible when your family is ranching royalty. And if people paid attention to Jamie's facial expressions and body language, they would realize he was hesitant to have her go through with the procedure that would render her barren. But in his teenaged brain, combined with seeing how scared and desperate she was, this was the only way. He didn't do it out of spite. He did it out of love. 20 years later, Jamie has faithfully served John and the ranch and yet you can see in the first episode, before Beth even came home, that John seemed to treat him indifferently and refused to listen to his sound advice. Jamie told his Dad that the ranch needed money and that his old -school wild west approach to protecting cattle and preserving the land was a bad idea, but he didn't listen because of his stubbornness and recklessness. And because he didn't listen to him, the mission went sideways and Lee was killed. Jamie also warned John about Beth, how she would end up tearing the family apart and that the longer she stayed on the ranch, the worse she'll be. We see he was right about that too. Since then, John has yelled at, cursed at, threatened, disrupted, and even hit Jamie despite his years of loyalty and service. To think, all Jamie wanted was to be a cowboy and rancher like his Dad. He never wanted to or asked to be a lawyer or politician. His Dad looks down on him for being the very thing he forced him to be, when he didn't even want to be the thing in the first place. Jamie was always the most loyal of the four Dutton kids in the sense of being what his Dad told him to be and do. Lee didn't want to mingle with people to build relations with the ranch, Beth moved to SLC to be a financier (and has made it clear on many occasions that she doesn't care about the ranch), and Kayce relocated to the reservation with his wife and son to train horses. Jamie, however, sacrificed his dreams to be a good son and all he got in return was contempt, mistreatment, and belittlement. I, for one, am glad he has turned on his toxic family and really hopes he brings them down, especially Beth. That triumphant tirade against her when she broke into his house was just the tip of the iceberg I suspect... His family is not the world's standards. That's the whole point. The Dutton's aren't inherently wrong, but neither is Jamie. That's the problem. This show tries to frame it as the Dutton's are flawed, but are still in the right. They aren't. "The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth." [In this case, it's a ranch.] His father drilled it into him to save the ranch at all cost... never really treated him as his son, and his daughter constantly bullied him, threatened him, and said she would take his child from him. He did everything for the family, apologized for a youthful mistake, and when his father did everything to lose the ranch he demanded jamie protect, he went against his father to do so. The abortion itself wasn't the problem she had. It was him getting her a hysterectomy without telling her until it was too late.
Makes me wonder how it would have turned out if John’s wife lived. She was the reason they took him in. I think her death was probably the start of the end for Jaime. She probably could have kept everyone in line. John did say the heart of the family died with her.
Pretty much the most awful person lived. Beth was horrible, and toxic. Jamie was not perfect but he was far more interesting and sympathetic than that harpy.
Deadline has an article about how Riley and Hauser have already signed a deal to star in a Season 6 for Yellowstone which is why they didn’t die. That’s why it was a season finale instead of a series finale.
That sounds absolutely dreadful...They are the most awkwardly cast couple I have ever seen. How the hell is Beth Dutton an appealing character on any level I do not know😂😂😂
I'm glad the fans got an ending. I think the ending was expecting with John Dutton out of the picture the question is what would the ending have been if Costner hadn't left. Would John have ever have sold it or would he have accepted that it was either sell to the reservation or risk it being ripped off the family eventually and developed. I found season 5 part 2 still to be a wasted opportunity. It was a bit self indulgent on Sheridans part and IMO everything minus the finale could have been condensed into a single episode. Thanks for the memories Yellowstone. Looking forward to the conclusion of 1923, not sure if it will be the same knowing the final outcome now of the Dutton story.
I know it wasn't necessary but would've like to see the aftermath of the investigation and see the Feds walking Caroline Warner out of the building in handcuffs. The scene with the kids at the grave site was forgivable because all they learned in school was how the white man took away all their lands and destroyed their way of life. Moe knew this was going to happen when he saw those kids.
Thanks for posting what a disaster of a finale. I didn’t watch the last 6 episodes it was gonna be predictable and these recaps only confirmed it. Thanks for saving me 5hrs
kaycee is the worst son in history. I hate the ending to this show on par with how bad game of thrones ending. Tate never gets his inheritance. Kaycee just wanted to be free whatever that means. John would not be happy with this ending at all.
it was a terrible show overall made mostly out of the bad guys, they should just film Montana's beautiful nature and wildlife and it would have been better.
Let me see, Jamie's house close to other houses and cars parked on street, yet no one sees Rip and Lloyd load a rug with Jamie's body in it into the truck?
I half expected Jamie to crawl his way up from the station. I don't think he got the ending that he deserved. Jamie was the product of what they made him.
So, let's look at things for a moment. Originally, Jamie felt threaten by Beth and wanted to do something to her, not John. It was ME that decided to go after John. Beth always blamed Jamie for her no longer being able to have kids BUT, the clinic, regardless of Native American or other, would have explained things to the female and received consent from her before going through with the procedure so, her not knowing what was going to happen is complete BS. Also, how does Jamie drive up to his house without seeing Beth's car? I mean, how many Bentley's do we see daily on an average street and it wasn't like she hide the car. And, lastly, if I were the state AG and felt threatened by anyone, I would have a security detail. All BS TV. Just like the ending of Star Wars EP 3...rushed. I think they could have done something else with Jamie rather than kill him off. Lack of thought on Sheridan's part.
Agree, Jamie could have become Governor and passed a law that changed how Abortions are handled in the State. & Star Wars EP 3 was a mess, the timing was all off, He shouldn't have pledged support until he was lying at the river at the end, with no other choice. And they should have introduced a young Hans Solo & Calrissian getting in trouble by a Wokey and being sent into a transport with some of the younger students, future fighters.
I agree. I think any Beth and Rip Spin off would be much more interesting if Jaime were still alive and picking up political traction. But I get it that a lot of fans wanted to see Beth take Jaime out. I do think there is something problematic about Jaime taking the pregnant Beth to the Indian clinic, however. The claim is that Jaime just said that John Dutton wanted it, and the name was so powerful, they just accepted it. Still, I can't imagine doctors sterilizing a minor white girl without a written or more certain authorization from her parent. Wasn't Jaime himself still a teenager, though older? I get it that Sheridan wanted Jaime to have done something so terrible that Beth would never forgive him, but a large part of the responsibility actually falls upon the clinic. Beth should have sued the heck out of them, once she became an adult and a graduate.
My favorite part of the finale was when Beth yelled “it’s yellowstonin’ time”, then painted all the stones yellow and twerked on them. Truly a directed and acted moment of the finale.
Oh gosh, I cried when Kayce made the deal with Clearwater, and his mate started to sing. It was very emotional and I also feel bad for Jamie, he only tried to do what he thought best for the family and he was turned into a monster.
If you watch the early seasons, there seems to be a distinct implication that Kayce is the only salvageable member in a family full of murderers and that the show would end with him taking the reigns after his family crosses a line...guess they just forgot about it as the show went on.
I like how they were taking down the sign with a chainfall.... Had no ladder or anything to get the chain fall up in the first place. Just appeared 🙃🤣🤣.
I think this is a great way to end the show. The Duttons gave back the land. But they used their remaining fortune to buy small ranches and continue the family tradition. There is still a Yellowstone ranch. It’s just much smaller than before.
@@technofilejr3401 not really . Kayce said he didn’t want the sign ns would have their own ranch name. Very disappointing that kayce hated everything about that ranch and his ancestors legacy, all he cared about was getting free of everything was his father and that ranch. Self absorbed , no sense of legacy and history . Kayce ending was disappointing to me. Have some respect and love for your past and father.
The ending was not believable even for a show. The ranch is supposed to be around 800,000 acres (big as Yellowstone National Park). Average price per acre is $1,000-$2,000 in Montana (which was said in season 2). The Ranch was around $1billion in land value alone. And you believe they would sell it for $1million? Um yeah ok sure, There was 200,000 acres John had bought in the last 20yrs, so paid a hell of a lot more than $1.25 for that. Sold everything for pennies on the dollar. Just to turn around and buy a 7,000 acre ranch, cows and equipment? And Beth said John Dutton's business model was bad LOL. The way her character was shown to us throughout the series, no way she would have done any of that. Kacey on the other hand, maybe. Funny in season 2 episode 1 Beth was shown being a whiz when it came to real estate and taxes. But hey maybe she forgot all that after surviving a bombing and multiple beatings. Only Jamie seemed to have trouble remembering the law at times and he was a lawyer. Season 5 even with Costner was just not good. Not surprised he didn't want to help finish it
I cried like a baby over the last two episodes. Ughh... I am going to miss this show and the characters but am hoping the spin offs are equally as epic!
I'm disappointed to hear that is the case. She was a monster from the start and deserved Jaime's fate. John was the one responsible for all their trauma. Jaime just wanted to fit in and he was treated like crap by them so no wonder if she struck back after having enuf
I had a bad feeling about this character's series arc. But after I saw her treat her Dad's girlfriend like shit after he died. I knew that this character would experience no growth whatsoever. Even her becoming the surrogate mom. I'm convinced she made a big fuss to him that she wouldn't be his mom. And yet...??? Nothing made sense about her.
I thought it was a terrible ending on the fact they tore the house up,and then the kids turning over the head stones even though mo stoped them very disrespectful, very doubtful if the sale was legal to avoid taxes
Jamie was a clown, he was never close to ever achieving anything or being a threat to anyone. Worst villain I’ve ever seen in a show. Every time guy caught a break Beth would swoop in and stomp him out. Every-time the heroes were at risk Rip would murder someone and everything would go back to normal. The other brother would go on random adventures and murder random people with no consequences. The whole show ended up being completely pointless with no stakes.
People forget how horrible the ranch was, how ruthless, and how many were killed. The scene where all the cowboys were happy & hugging & saying good-bye was odd as they all were part of that violence. And the guy w/the white hat who sang, he was almost killed by his ‘buddies’ on this ranch. They can’t wash off that burnt-in mark on their chests.
You can the season was rushed similar to Game of Thrones which tells me Season 5 was supposed to be the ending. But I am not surprised so many shows have poor series ending. We can only accept it and move on to a new series. Now I need clarification on what was the issue with Kevin and the show.
Christina will know Jamie did not go on the run especially after the speech he gave to the state of Montana chances are Jamie told Christina about the train station she knows about Garret Jamie's natural father with this spin-off coming up about Rip and Beth she would be the better long term villain and remember people Jamie was what John Dutton created
I think Cristina legally changes her name & takes Jamie's child and relocates because she has gone to the feds and is in witness protection. The boy grows up not knowing his family legacy. As a teen he meets friends who own a ranch and he naturally takes to riding a horse. Cristina does a research of the Dutton family and with help from a DNA registry and archivist she chronicles both the Dutton family tree but also Jamie's mom's side. Turns out Jamie's mother is the granddaughter of the same Indian tribe and Jack Dutton. This would be Spencer Dutton's great niece. Remember that Spencer's grandson is John Dutton III (the one in Yellowstone) Jamie's mom is part Dutton & part Indian so also related to Monica. Jamie's mom is the great great granddaughter of the original family patriarch, James Dutton. This made Jamie's mother a direct descendent of the oldest son of the family patriarch and entitled to 50% ownership of the Dutton fortune. John & Evelyin adopted Jamie because Jamie in fact had an ownership stake that John wanted to control. The reason Jamie's true Dutton heritage is unknown to him is because his mother never told him as she died when he was young. John took Jamie away from Randall before he cpuld tell his son. Randall died before he could tell Jamie but there's a chance he told Cristina who promised not to tell to keep her child with Jamie, safe. So Tate & Jamie's child are cousins to each other on both sides of the family. Due to the internet and things Jamie's son discovers among his mother's things in a safety deposit box and a storage unit he learns the whole story. This explains to him why he keeps having dreams where he sees his dad, Jamie & he has had dreams of natives his whole life. Somehow an Indian phrase repeats itself over and over. I believe Jamie being part Indian shows in his son who people often think resembles native Americans. Anyway, Jamie's son who has a different last name as his true identity was masked , sets out to find out who killed his father. Because he had all the best qualities of the Dutton & native people, he tracks down Beth & RIP. Before all this he had met Tate at a summer camp and then again in college. When he accepts an invitation to visit Tate & meet his family, he can't shake the feeling he should know the chant. He then realizes it's the same one in his dream. A huge twist of all this is that the main character of the Native tribe knew all along that Jamie Dutton was in fact a biological Dutton not just an adopted one. He could have revealed the truth to Jamie but John Dutton III and he kept each other's secrets. A sequel show as I have outlined where this and other secrets are revealed would be great.
@vickimalloy7899 you know Christina is coming after Beth she knew Jamie's secrets and was the one who drafted the speech Jamie gave ,this man was not running away, Garrett, Jamie's natural father talked with her about his past with John Dutton (I wish the show could have explored more about Garrett and John's relationship and John's relationship with Garrett's wife) I just don't want to see any harm come to Tate are Carter if her (Christina's)son can't a piece of the pie she will ensure the other grandchildren want have a piece either
@@cindyhoffman5547 Couple of flaws...Kevin Costner's John Dutton is No. 4, Spencer was his great uncle not grandfather. And there has been no announcement from a reutable source that there will even be a sequel.
Could not understand why the new owners appeared to be wrecking the homestead at the end? Thought part of the deal was to not touch the existing property?
It made me sad that Kayce didn't want the sign, the Y, or any mementos of the ranch or his father. When he said, "this isn't my home", I felt like that was a slap in the face of the cowboys.
Yellowstone. It was a good overall series, a great example of a nighttime soap opera (telenovela!). I was entertained and got invested w/the characters. But it was not the best show ever. The ending was a good as we could expect after Costner left. Sheridan should have stayed behind the camera, he reduced the last season to a long boring road so that we can get to the main characters ending.
I like how the Indians turning over the gravestones showed the hypocrisy of their”culture” It took Rainwater one day to break his promise to Beth to protect John. Moe did the right thing but didn’t make the kids turn them back and explain why it was wrong. Those kids will be back and do it again
I know a lot of people will disagree, but I really don't think Beth and Rip deserved a happy ending. It was hard to see Jamie as a serious villain. It seemed like he was being bullied at every turn by John or Beth. He really came across as indecisive, cowardly, and weak. A much better ending would've been if Jamie had tipped off the authorities with a letter or tape to be opened if he was killed or disappeared, revealing threats made against him (and his infant son) by Beth, and the location of the Train Station. Then Rip and Beth being led off in handcuffs. For what it's worth, I think Beth is a fascinating character. She would have made a much better villain than Jamie.
I watched 1883 the scene with James and the Chief was a huge clue to who would get the ranch,I had a great feeling and knew the ranch would go to the Native Americans, they are the ones who really should have the ranch🐎🦬🔥👍 LAND BACK, YES!!?
The ending episodes were rushed and a couple of them were meaningless. What was the point of the strip poker with Travis? It was useless. Jayme's arc was rushed and spotty. I think his character arc didn't get the full potential it deserved. Caycee and his family's arc felt complete, but all the side characters were too open ended. I was disappointed.
I'm not sure I enjoyed how everything happened. The only thing I feel confident about is that this last season is a perfect example of what happens when external forces affect everything in a show's creative intentions. I think Kevin and Taylor must have been butting heads a lot--whether they admit it or not--and as a result, either because of their clashes or because of any business failures that ensued, we were left with Taylor trying to cobble together something to end it all and just move on. There were also some issues between Taylor and Cole, at least as far as a branding dispute was concerned. All of this (and I'm sure stuff that we aren't aware of) caused some problems and I think that's what we saw in this season and or finale. It could've been worse, but I'm also hesitant to believe that this is the last we've seen of the Duttons, too. Again, this wasn't the way it was supposed to end, but I know it could've been worse. Regardless, I'm hopeful Taylor comes up with another spin-off. At one point, I think he was mulling the idea of a "2024" show (or something like that)... I also remember reading about the possibility of another spin-off set in the WW2-era. And whatever happened with Matthew McConaughey? In fact, it says on his IMDB page that he's rumored to be in a show named "2024." So there's that... I can see him coming into this world as some kind of cousin or something who has a lot of money who's going to make a play for the land that the other kids in the family lost to the reservation. (As a plot idea, I mean. And Taylor could make it work, too.) Nah, I doubt we've seen the last of all these characters. They'll be back. I'd bet a mortgage on it. Hell, this world is too much of a cash cow to Taylor to just forget about now. He's opened up a can with this shit. Ha. And I'm happy he did. It's a fun world!
I grew up on a working cattle ranch on the WY/MT border. I tried to get into the Yellowstone episodes, but never could because of the absurdity of the story lines, and because the writer, Sheridan, seems to have a limited vocabulary where he has to us the "F" word in every sentence! Of course the word is heard from time to time, I have used it myself on occasion. But I have NEVER been around anyone, cowboys included, that use it as the fallback word for everything. The only redeeming thing was the occasional cattle and horse scenes! I hope the finale is actually the finale!
lol you guys don’t run around like rip? Cussing up a storm?! Of course not! Cowboys I have met were good people and were probably the most respectful people I’ve served, period. Have a good day man
I thought it was a very appropriate and well-done ending. A lot of loose ends were tied up, and I'm glad we got to know where all the beloved characters were going.
What was so complex should have been simple if John would have sold off or sold part of it back to rainwater for the same price driving the amount down that they needed to pay but of course all the action and drama is what makes the show athough Colby die did not need to happen. Teeter and he should have left together in a happy ending for them as well as Rip good cowboy buddy should have went with Rip but that is Sheridan baby. His ego got in they way of what should have been the greatest season
Beth and Jamies final confrontation was my only disappointment in the finale. It felt rushed and was only done that way for shock value. Beths plan was to have Jamie almost kill her so she wasnt suspect when he disappeared, made no sense when she literally at the house covered in evidence he was murdered, yet they burned the car. Just poorly executed.
Best part of the ending was all about Kayce, Monica and Tate; so happy for them. This series is the end of the road for my interest. Good luck to the spin offs.
Just horrendous , filler and holes everywhere 1: what happened to police following up with Beth 2: what happened to fbi going into Sarah office at market equities being taken 3: no news about the attorney general disappeared or follow up to burned vehicle 4: what happened to Jaime jerk mother of his son? She hated duttons and gave him the brilliant idea about his speech. ! Market equities being indicted would have been a nice touch 5: pipeline sunk and not a mention of it from a news show or police investigation. Next , why couldn’t ranch buildings and say 25k acres be carved out for rip and Beth and sold the rest to Indians and why for 1.25 per acre. Sell for 10.00 an acre to ensure rip and Beth could convert the ranch into a meat production facility to make money. In other words , destroying Yellowstone ranch in its entirety ruins the entire legacy of John Dutton and the promise to his father and ruins ability to have a sequel if you wanted . I could have written this ending better
I think with Monica and Tate being part of the Reservation it was giving them back part of their heritage as well, especially Tate, who would have been the rightful heir of the Yellowstone anyway
Happy to see the land returned to our Native American's and to see Rainwater's emotions! Also Mo's respect for the grave sites! I will truly miss my favorite series!
Terrible last few episodes. Too many holes. Im guessing they killed off Colby bc they want Teeter in the new 6666 show and he didnt want to sign on. But as for the Beth/Jamie stuff. Does nobody on that street have a Ring? They would see Rip driving to and from the house. Beth's plan was completely stupid. Nobody questioned why Rip wasnt at the hospital, Oh yeah dumping the body in Wyoming, or Idaho or wherever for hours. And then Jamie gives the land away with no regard for the people that worked it. And the Natives tear it down and disrespect the graves. Rainwater came off looking bad with how they acted. Just not a good season. Every episode mourning over Johns death.
Jaime has a ring cam last season he saw Beth on his tv. Also a sitting AG goes missing after a huge fight a lot of 3 letter agencies would be all over the place and Beth would be under a lot of questions, not just o well you were attack go the hospital we believe everything you said
Kaycee sold the land not Jaime and he had no choice. It was left to him and he couldn't afford the tax to keep it running. They sold off all the cattle and horses and equipment. He also never wanted to run it and all the wranglers understood and respected the decision. It did piss me off whatever they were doing to the house and pushing over the tombstones enraged me. Glad moe stopped that.
@unropednope4644 I understand why he sold the land, but it sounded like it was under the stipulation that the ranch stays as is. It would have been better to have them still be able to live in either house, with the stipulation the Natives control the rest. Selling the land for pennies on the dollar wa sweak when the Natives, with the exception of Mo, disrespected it right away.
Well they stated it would be a nature reserve so that means no houses and barns. Now those kids/ young adults yes enraged me too. Some states there are laws against that . Mo stoping them was good but they deserved to be punished. You don’t desecrate gravesites. .
I don't see a spin off with Kacey's family doing good at all. The actor who plays Tate definitely needs some acting lessons. He has one emotion, and he's sooo boring. And Monica...ya, maybe If something happened to that character and Kacey had to find a new wife. Lol. Then maybe.... And that's a huge maybe 😂
Completely agree… Why does it always seem like every scene is like voice overed ? It’s like it’s being directed and produced on a completely different TV show.
It was a decent ending to a well told story. You can criticize Sheridan all you want but the bottom line is he educated most of us on Native American history, And he explored the beauty of the mountains of Montana. The scenery was amazingly beautiful. Most of us have no idea about cowboy-ing, and ranching And he covered that beautifully in these 5 seasons. To all of you critics out there, Unless you are a screenwriter And you can do a better job, stop finding fault with this series.
I’m not really sure how to feel about these final episodes. I felt like for a while there was a shift and it only was speaking to a very specific group of people. Almost like it was getting a little too political. People from big cities specifically on both coasts love nature and the peace and tranquility it brings, just as much as anyone. We certainly don’t need anymore division and this is coming from a Kalispell resident. Speaking specifically about the storyline, yes, I’m not happy about John Dutton being killed off, and in terms of Jamie, it’s almost Shakespearean and tragic. I mean, here’s a guy who is forced to become something he never wanted to be, ultimately was fearful for his life because of his sister, I don’t really think he ever wanted his father (John) dead. Also, there was just a lot left open. For example, it seemed like Lynelle was trying to tell Clara to be involved somehow and help. Whatever happened to Angela Rainwater, and what’s to become of Jamie‘s child? I like the idea of Casey’s new life with his family and even Rip and Beth; along with Carter. Still feels like there should be more though. A quality show overall; looking forward to the second season of 1923 and getting back to the old West.
Complete dud, after all the conflict, they just copitulated and gave it away. Sheridan needs to stay out of his shows, he is more incompetent than poor Jimmy or Teeter combined. The entire Texas arc was stupid.
Perfect ending I was so happy to see Rip and Beth take Carter to the new ranch . I loved that Kacy Tate and Monica found peace . The only thing I took exception of was when the Native kids were knocking down the stones I felt there should have been words said by Rainwater about how important it was to respect The Dutton Grave yard so much sacrifice Moe did it but I felt they should have made that a bigger moment. I was so happy to see the land saved by the Broken Rock tribe. A bit sad seeing the buildings and fences coming down But... IT was a nice ending I was happy.
Wow way to ruin a beautiful show Taylor Sheeidan awful awful awful absolutely zero point to watch even the rest of 1923 now. To watch the Duttons spend generations protecting, defending and taking care of their land to have Kacee hand it over for a million dollars when they could of sold a tiny piece for millions 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Like totally ruin the character of Kaycee right there in a moment. Wow I never thought a show could ever have a worst ending then Game of Thrones but I was wrong!!! Won’t watch 1923 now bc seriously no point. Awful awful awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No probate, No Will!, Kayce was executor? They just wrote that property up in about 6 pages? No big ceremony! Such ridiculous writing. John Dutton would have had a will! He was murdered! No one questions how suddenly Kayce hands over multimillion dollar property without lawyers witnessing? Laughable! Sheridan is so overrated. Soap opera at its worst. I see next season that Beth becomes pregnant by miracle birth.
That’s a really really good show. I hope they bring season six back on Yellowstone with the best. I loved it. What is the answer to the end of Yellowstone? Please bring a season six yellow stone back on TV it was good really good.
They did the best with what they had. I wish they would have let Tate become apart of the Tribe and give it to Tate who has all the control and the Rez that way.
I kept saying "run Kevin run !" After season 3. He was just there with the biggest stetsons I've ever seen. Sipping coffee, sipping whiskey, sitting on a horse....waiting for the Beth/Jamie shitshow. Awful writings.
To me it felt very lazy. It felt like TS felt like he had to insert himself in the 2nd half more because of Dutton being gone when we didn’t need TS’s character. This last part left so many answers unanswered which happens a lot with shows but we literally wasted like an episode and a half to 2 episodes on Travis when it could’ve went into things like the senator and duttons aid and their conversation, what info the fbi dug up on market equities which could’ve then gave them a chance to throw out the whole lawsuit and the duttons could’ve kept it. I understand the ending but man it just felt like this last half a season was all an ego boosting trip for TS with the John Dutton character gone.
I loved it, the best finale ever. So sad 😢😢😢
❤❤❤
There is no Yellowstone without Kevin. Every episode still went around Kevin. Even though the actors are great...the writing sucked. Very sad
I was very proud of Moe there for doing that, and telling them that those people gave their lives to preserve that land.
That scene should not have been in it. Would never have happened, as disrespectful to the people who fought for the land and were laid to rest on it. The series showed how both parties respected each other when it came to the land and what both wanted. Guess that was Sheridans idea!
I believe he meant to enrage the audience. It must’ve been like the Native Americans felt when their land and homes were taken.
Agree , horrible and unnecessary
I agree. That bothered me too. It showed that Thomas announced that their land was returned but he did not communicate the respect that this generations sacrifice to do the right thing. That hurt my heart.
I think Rips actions burying John then kneeling was a no words needed moment
Yeah it was strong for sure!
I wanted to see rip break down for once. He's always so bottled up
@complexgrafix hes a real man. Real men carry that 'bottle' everywhere and only open the lid when alone.
when i saw those headstones get pushed over my jaw was on the floor
I know, I was shocked!
@ for a second i literally thought rainwater was going back on his deal then mo came into the scene
Me too I was horrified
I think it happened to reassure us that Mo & others will keep their promise.
@ you know what that’s actually a really good way to think about it
Watching the Dutton gravestones being pushed over enfuriated me.
Kayce didn’t ask a single question about jaime? No one but beth ever knew he had a kid. She murders him in his home and gets a happy ending haha. This whole season was shit. Yellowstone was over years ago
No one gets a happy ending but those getting their land back.
All the Dutton are criminals and rhuga
I’m sad that the show had to end. I am glad that I don’t have to see Taylor Sheridan again!
I avree..Taylor has the biggest ego of himself!! Big showoff!!! Won't miss seeing him!!
Madison
Agreed. He was my least favorite actor/character.
I see Travis (TS) as a normal cowboy boss, I heard a saying here in Texas " you can always tell an ole boy, but you can't tell him much", most cowboys are ego driven.
Finally! I can buy the whole dvd collection, and watch at my leisure. 😅
Where did you buy??¿??????

Rip dumped the body at the "train station."
To the DA, Jamie disappears and is missing. Being Beth was the last one to see him, she'd be the prime suspect.
@@pazdormir4744after she attempted to kill him with a rod.
@@WHSuperman2005 you only know that because you watched it happen… no one else saw it. It was just Beth and Jamie, and he ain’t talking.
Good ending
Welcome to the party
Says all Game of Thrones fans
Kevin Costner absolutely had the final say in how John's ending unfolded. It was in his contract.
Didn't do justice to John Dutton? Didn't do justice to the show period. :(
Absolutely no way Rip and Beth would have gotten away with killing and disposing of Jamie in this day and age of mass camera surveillance.
Rich neighborhood in broad daylight lol.. pool of his blood on the ground… sloppy rushed writing
For sure. Witnesses could easily put Rip there, he and Lloyd moving the body outside, etc.
Why would Jamie just go on the run - and burn his car - in his position too?
Exactly!!
Especially with Jamie still being an elected state official. The FBI would’ve been all over this.
I half expected him to record a last testimony exposing their secrets as a final 🖕🏼to this family but it never happened.
you are not alone I was routing for Jamie, beth is overated
@@deborahhobbins7131Beth is a horrible character and I don’t understand why she’s so popular.
don't agree John did a poor job as a father towards all his children. they all kind of figured out the way forward beth became a fighter for her father, kayce became a man who wanted a loving peacefull family and sadly jamie never found himself he didn't stand for anything thats why he ket being tossed about and manipulated by everyone.he didnt even stand for himself
This show was never "great". It was decent lmfao. A little better than "medicore". Lord have mercy Taylor Sheridan is sloppy.
@@cll1639 Lainey Wilson is so hot !!!!!!!
Why didn’t Beth receive her comeuppance?
Casey finally forgiving his dad hit me hard. There were some great scenes in this episode.
Kayce...not casey 😊
Forgive him for what???????!!!!!!!! Kasey is a massive disappointment and a pathetic human
@@sergiorodriguez1829 It made very little sense. It was like Kacey was a child and he couldn't' make his own decisions. Killing Jaimie was ridiculous. He was always treated like crap. The family treated him SO badly that they pushed him away.
That knife scene was brutal
Yes I agree I was hoping Jamie would get tuff and fight back a win especially over Beth I didn't like her at all
I was cheering for him to finish her but knew it wasn't going to end that way
Jamie's decision to take Beth to that abortion clinic that got rid of her baby and then took her ovaries was why he was hated
Casey did not treat Jamie bad, till this season.
You didn’t like spinny horse 🐎
I'm pretty sure he had that ending planned long before Costner left the show since the seeds were already planted in 1883. I believe Costner leaving the show just excellerated his plans to end it sooner. What I wonder is how different the show would have been had Costner never left and how many more seasons could it have gone.
It was clear the land would given back to the tribe. Perhaps it would have been gifted/sold by John to "keep it whole". But I think the season fehlt kind of off, especially the texas storyline.
@@Abecam45 LOL, if only the last scene was, for no reason, Sheridan doing some horse tricks while it fades to black. :P
My name is John Dutton and I'm glad it was used in such a great show. I'm going to miss me. 😂
HAHAHA. the Meghan Markle comparison is SPOT ON...
Try being Taylor Sheridan before running your mouth. He's a smart guy. I'm still waiting for 1923 to continue so I'd rather this get over so he can focus on that.
Kevin Costner always said he would be on Yellowstone for 3 years but he stayed for 5.
@@dianagonsalves but Sheridan is a egotistical narcissist there was no reason for him or the 6666 ranch to be in a major focus of so many episodes
Definitely won’t be watching the 6666 spin off since the best character won’t be there aka Beth
It was lame! Thank you Taylor for letting your ego destroy a great show! The last 5 episodes lacked imagination and creativity!
Kayce had said it was up
to Tate . That would have allowed a chance for the Yellowstone ranch and the possible sequel would have had a chance
Tape would have a lot of say he is half Native American
@ I was shocked he didn’t have more to say maybe hinting his heritage and his grandfather
The adopted kid who was used and tossed away because he didn’t obey the family 100 percent gets killed by the sociopathic sister because she can’t take any responsibility for her part in a mistake that was made when she and her brother were teens, a mistake made mainly because they feared their fathers reaction and her and her serial killer husband are the hero couple to root for. lol
And before some say Rip is not a serial killer wiki says a serial killer (also called a serial murderer) is a person who murders three or more people,[1] with the killings taking place over a significant period of time in separate events.
Yes, I was late to Yellowstone, but that storyline really disturbed me and why I couldn't fully buy into the show. The bullies got the happy ending. ☹
It's TV, relax!
It's sad how Yellowstone sputtered in the end. They could have wrapped up Yellowstone in a 2 hour episode and be done with. Instead we got a 7 episode Sheridan ego trip. uuuuugh
It was a two hour final

I think everybody forgets the contract killer company has cameras in Jamie‘s house so Beth killing Jamie is on video
Just a minor detail. After all there weren't any cameras in the Governor's house were there? Beth telling the sheriff ...laughable! My big fan partner said WTF was that?
They would have been removed after Atwood was killed to remove the evidence.
Yeah something else that will never be brought up.
They bugged the house without it being shown. You don't think after murdering Sarah and Jamie having cops in his home that they didn't remove the bugs once they had the sex tape? These are hardly plot holes, it's more you guys not applying any common sense.
Common sense says they would be more interested in any conversations Jamie has in that house, especially about the murders and what he knows
It's a tv show
They didn't have to clean the blood, Beth told the cops they fought which explains both her and Jaime's DNA being all over the place
@@janetflach4462 That much blood spill points to more than just a brother/sister fight. This is far more than a bloody nose.
"The child who is not embraced by the village will burn it down to feel its warmth." [In this case, it's a ranch.]
His father drilled it into him to save the ranch at all cost... never really treated him as his son, and his daughter constantly bullied him, threatened him, and said she would take his child from him.
Very well said 💯 with you on this
Agree !
You nailed it.
Totally agree.
That barn looking more like a replica must be a thing . Rip got some cattle somewhere and can play with the "herd" of 20 all day long.
Agreed
How can you have a season 6 Yellowstone when the Yellowstone ranch is gone including the house being dismantled . It’s over
That sounds absolutely dreadful...They are the most awkwardly cast couple I have ever seen. How the hell is Beth Dutton an appealing character on any level I do not know😂😂😂
It’s over. It was the series finale. Even paramount marketed it as the series finale.
Sheridan's ego ruined this show.
He seems pretty full of himself. I wished we could have seen more of Mo. I loved his character.
This was freaking terrible season. You could tell the director just wanted it to end. Bad writing, acting, and story telling.
I couldn't agree more. It was terrible.
A small group of loyal fans could have written a far better ending than this garbage.
Yes, I agree! I waited so long for these boring final episodes. 👎🏽👎🏽
it was a terrible show overall made mostly out of the bad guys, they should just film Montana's beautiful nature and wildlife and it would have been better.
It was Taylor Sheridan’s “I Love Me” season.
Let me see, Jamie's house close to other houses and cars parked on street, yet no one sees Rip and Lloyd load a rug with Jamie's body in it into the truck?
Also the neighbors more than likely would have cameras on their garage doors and front doors that would see the street in front of Jamie’s house.
Happens every day
Can't agree with you more. Terrible writing. Horrible ending.
I half expected Jamie to crawl his way up from the station. I don't think he got the ending that he deserved. Jamie was the product of what they made him.
@fglocal5250 Must be Sheridans writing? Down hill........or he just didn't care
Underrated comment😂
I knew the ending was going to be this, I didn’t like any of this. Very unsatisfying nobody knows how to end a show anymore
Oh gosh, I cried when Kayce made the deal with Clearwater, and his mate started to sing. It was very emotional and I also feel bad for Jamie, he only tried to do what he thought best for the family and he was turned into a monster.
Wasn’t the ranch left to Kayce’s son?
Jamie was only for Jamie and power.

Floyed should work for kayce as he could use the help on his ranch . Just need to built a smallish bunk jouse and a good sized barn .

Showing Beth as a heroine is wrong. In fact, she is a psycho monster. Certainly a bigger monster than Jaimie.
The most uninspired ending to a television show ever... They managed to beat GOT

Not quite, but they tried.
I thought it was a terrible ending on the fact they tore the house up,and then the kids turning over the head stones even though mo stoped them very disrespectful, very doubtful if the sale was legal to avoid taxes

Unlikely after John died.

Heroes?
I am Thankful I had a friend who suggested this watch!
Well worth it!
Thank You Jamie!
Remember that Spencer's grandson is John Dutton III (the one in Yellowstone)
Jamie's mom is part Dutton & part Indian so also related to Monica.
THAT WOULD BE A GREAT STORY!
He forgave his father but that doesn't mean he forgot!

The opening scene of this episode I applaud 👏🏾
I watched 1883 the scene with James and the Chief was a huge clue to who would get the ranch,I had a great feeling and knew the ranch would go to the Native Americans, they are the ones who really should have the ranch🐎🦬🔥👍 LAND BACK, YES!!?
Oops that ? Mark was a mistake I meant for 3 of these !!!
Worst series finale I’ve ever seen.
Oh wow!
Worst then game of thrones?
Games of thrones was worse 😢
Actually didn't mind it.
@ it wasn’t very good but it was bearable.
And Taylor could make it work, too.)
Nah, I doubt we've seen the last of all these characters.
Have a good day man
Are you sure you're an authentic rancher? How many people have you murdered?
Glad it went full circle, with the natives getting control of the land and returning it to what it used to be
Woohoo! 14 episodes in 2 years. Not even 16 episodes. Don Johnson and Punky Brewster both laugh at your work ethic, Taylor.
In a few months Monica will suddenly find something to be unhappy about. Poor Kayce, Poor Tate.
I honestly really enjoyed the fact that they added Elsa’s voice over.
Same here, it made the ending all the more emotional!
What an utter disappointment of a season.
Season overall was a shame but I liked the connection to 1883!
Agreed another amazing show that starts with a bang and ends like a wet fart.
Taylor Sheridan just insulted his entire audience. What a joke. Just awful.
Season 5 "jump the shark"
Just horrendous , filler and holes everywhere
1: what happened to police following up with Beth
2: what happened to fbi going into Sarah office at market equities being taken
3: no news about the attorney general disappeared or follow up to burned vehicle
4: what happened to Jaime jerk mother of his son? She hated duttons and gave him the brilliant idea about his speech. !
Market equities being indicted would have been a nice touch
5: pipeline sunk and not a mention of it from a news show or police investigation.
Next , why couldn’t ranch buildings and say 25k acres be carved out for rip and Beth and sold the rest
to Indians and why for 1.25 per acre.
Seeing Beth Gut Jamie was epic. Making him look at her while he died was so awesome!!
Yeah it was the right way for it to conclude
You don’t desecrate gravesites. .
Anyone know the significance if any of the knife Beth used?
Would have liked to see what Walker ended up doing.
2 possibilities
The knife Elsa received in 1883
Or the one given to the cowboy for the sheep in 1923
Not sure if I'm right but would make sense
Please no spin off of Kayce's family. They are cringe. I'm sorry.
That's fair! Yeah I've seen they're definitely not the favourites
Monica is 90% of the cringe LMFAO Kayce and Tate are alright but that fn kid CANNOT act
Agreed
Surprisingly happy ending. Yellowstone’s definitely done, but spinoffs def happening which im excited about
I'm just glad the universe isn't ending completely!
They did llyod dirty
Rip left the door open for Lloyd - one good friend looking out for the other .
Llyod? Colby had the worst fate, only because it was so meaningless and unnecessary
How come Clara was not at the funeral?
And why didn’t Clara and Luenell not share the info about Jaime to the family?? There’s alot of holes left
@@queent4846 I believe it was implied that Clara and Beth were feeding information as it was coming out in the media.
I loved it! All loose ends were tied nice and neatly.
No they weren’t there were heaps of loose ends to tidy up. Pathetic ending to a great show.
Yeah they definitely were!
Totally agree. I haven't watched any of the Yellowstone prequel series why watch we know how the whole story will end.
@@nancybarendt7877 1883 wasn't bad and it showed how the Duttons came to Montana. 1923 hasn't caught my interest yet after a few shows.
I’m so sick of the unrealistic Beth character.
Relating to a family with strong roots dwindling down to just a few left and a wrong, sudden death, I feel Beth's anger
It makes me wonder if Taylor didn’t get to big for himself and Kevin stayed to the finale how it would have wrapped.
I kept saying "run Kevin run !" After season 3. He was just there with the biggest stetsons I've ever seen. Sipping coffee, sipping whiskey, sitting on a horse....waiting for the Beth/Jamie shitshow. Awful writings.
I think it would have been similar with the promise being completed, but the date of characters might have changed
