My Ridgeline is just like yours, black, 2014 and I Love it! I don’t have Coopers on now but my next set will be. I’ve bought Cooper tires for years and have always been very pleased with performance and wear. Thanks for a great vid! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Thanks for posting. It is great vehicle. Remember, the VTM-4 LOCK button only engages when you are in 2nd or 1st. In D, you are working with that basic system of variable torque that you describe--which is good--but the LOCK only engages when you are in 2nd or 1st and only when you stay under 18mph. Just to add that info...
@@EveryotherKarl And, I should add the LOCK feature also works in reverse. There is a great pdf available on the Ridgeline Forum that explains it amazingly clearly--very helpful forum.
@@crv20051 I think I've read that exact PDF lol, I love the forum. If I do another video talking about the ridgeline, I'll definitely mention this, thanks for bringing it up.
These are great vehicles , but honestly a front wheel drive vehicle could do everything you did there . I'm buying one of these next week and I will do a proper test .
Am thinking of buying one in Nigeria we don't have the best roads over here and I believe that it will be more than capable to handle the roads here in Africa.
If need to pull on the front where do you hook? Is it possible to hook on factory tow or tie down loops? Or is there a possibility to install a recovery hook on a solid point on frame? Looks like angle of strap would damage lower plastic valance piece
I've used the front factory recovery hook to pull a stranded lawn tractor before - never treated it beyond that. It worked well in that situation, but the recovery strap I was using stayed fairly low/level to the ground. It definitely could have damaged the plastic if it angled up. I'm not really sure if there is a decent aftermarket replacement.
I have gotten my ridgeline stuck. Mud looked fine but as soon as I got off the trail to turn around. The whole vehicle just sunk. All wheels were free spinning. It sucked. Had a friend try to get out out and he didn't even make it to me. Tow cost me 900. Mud was so soft I would sink down to my knee. Good experience though 🤣
You seem to like your 2008 Honda Ridgeline as much as I like my 2006 RT. Not my daily driver anymore but it has served me so well since I bought it new. Just about to turn 94000 miles. What is the mileage on your Ridgeline?
Curious, what is the name of the setup you have for the ski rack above your trunk? I currently have a Ridgeline sport without a roof rack and considering options to mount snowboards for the winter season, thank you in advance!

nice to see more content of the gen 1 out there on youtube now
Amen
I almost want a Ridgeline just to make the truck gatekeeping tough guys mad.
It’s not a real truck!
@@elfiero50 I got a Tacoma, but loved the Ridgeline too.
Jealous u

Thought it was second and reverse
I have an '06 also in black. Although I have not put it through what you are doing it has severed me very well and never got stuck.

I've been super impressed - I hope it works out well for you!
Been thinking the same thing. I hate how the interior looks, but I love how the car handles and would like to buy a 2009 or 2012 Ridgeline.
@@johnmerlin1188 I didn't like the interior at first, but it grew on me - now I like it a lot.
The riggy (Ridgeline) is powerful and nice-looking. I live in New England and there is a lot of snow in the winter and snow is no match for the riggy.
VTM-4 for the win! Great testing
I think I was reading somewhere because of the VTM system the RIdgeline has to be on a tow bed and not towed traditionally.
Yes, that's true - apparently it's very bad for the transmission is you tow it on anything other than a flat bed.
That's anything with AWD mate.
Es un excelente vehículo saludos desde la Patagonia CHILENA

Nice! I've got about 210,000 on my Ridgeline. Still going strong
I go mudding in a 2wd crosstour. Haven't gotten stuck yet. But I have all terrains on the front.
Great video, more!

Hey, I actually built that myself. I have a video on the build:

@@EveryotherKarl thank you, really helpful 👍🏾
Why put "off road" in the title? You drove through a small mud puddle and never left the dirt road...
Are you crying
great video!
We loved your video!!!
We’re you at in jersey??
This is the Vernon area
All looks like there are no efforts to move the Ridgeline through mud, ice, sand...
Jersey!!!! Yewwwww
Good you didn't get stuck. I would hate to have to pay a tow bill out of mud....just sayin'.
What size are those tires?
Нашёл грязище прям, да там и на легковушке можно проехать или на велосипеде)))
No offense bro, but id follow you through everything ive just watched with my moms Hyundai Elantra Lmao
With enough beer.
I've seen a pontiac G6 do some wild shit
