Skiing Powder Mountain Utah - the Largest Ski Area in North America | Full Review
I filmed this in February of 2024. Powder Mount was already the largest resort in North America with over 8,400 skiable acres, but they have since expanded to an even larger footprint!
The Weather was terrible this day, but I still got to feel how amazing this place is.

Porsche Boxster White Smoke Fix - Air Oil Separator (AOS) replacement
มุมมอง 163วันที่ผ่านมา
I was having several problems with my 2003 986.2 Porsche Boxster. I had P0171 and P0174 check engine codes, a stuck oil cap that I couldn't remove when the engine was running, I heard a whistle coming from the engine, and I saw some white smoke from the exhaust. All this led me to diagnose and replace the Air Oil Separator (AOS). Keep in mind that the AOS part differs between the 986.1 and 986....
Magic Mountain Vermont is old school skiing - An untamed Gem

Magic Mountain Vermont was my "favorite ski mountain" when I was 14. I'm back 20 years later. It's not exactly my favorite anymore, but it's really special. This is a rugged, old-school, skier's mountain. It has a new chairlift - the black line chairlift, but it's still a limited crowd, small lift line, little grooming, crazy tree skiing place. If you're a ski bum, you owe it to yourself to che...

    I thought ends of trusses at sidewalls had to be at 45 degrees as to meet up perfectly with the square wall. iow. I was thinking for the joint to be right, the 22.5 would have to meet up with another 22.5 since the sidewalls are basically a continuation of the octogonal pattern. Thats why I thought that one particular end resting on the wall had to be a 45 since sidewall had zero angle. did i have a brain fart?

      @@carbonarrow7 if you can find longer 4x4s id recommend it, but I guess you could use lap joints to connect them. Make sure you seal the cuts since they'll be contacting the ground. Overlapping 2x4s or 2x6s sound like an even stronger idea.

    Do I need to install baffles and soffit vents if there are already passive airflow vents on the walls? I'm worried about moisture but with the vents already installed into the main shed that should help with overall circulation, right?

    • @EveryotherKarl
      @EveryotherKarl 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@nataliebrundle1006 it depends if you're insulating the ceiling. The passive air vents in the walls will only remove moisture from inside the building, but the point of the baffles and soffit/ridge venting is to remove moisture that builds up on the underside of the roof sheithing. If there is no insulation on the ceiling, the roof sheathing is exposed and has a chance to dry out. If there is insulation (like mine) that sheathing is trapped and the moisture will stay there and invite mold and rot the sheathing. It's sort of like having two floors in a building, if you vent the first floor, it would do any good for the second floor. You need to vent the second floor as well.

    I have a question with a disclaimer that I know almost nothing about construction: Why cant you make the floor the same way you would a wall (aside from the drywall) and use the thick insulation? Is it a ventalation issue?

    • @EveryotherKarl
      @EveryotherKarl 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@burdsallangela technically you could use it, but it's not advisable for a few reasons that I can think of. 1, it's hard to work with when it's hanging over an empty space - you'll have a tough time getting all the air gaps filled unless you use a lot of strapping or put something underneath it to hold it up. 2, if it's hanging over open air under your shed it will very likely start to absorb moisture and then start to drop, and worse, start to rot your subfloor. 3, rodents love to live inside fiberglass insulation. There's probably more reasons but those are some that come to mind.
