Best 3 minute video ever! I've struggled with this stuck sob for a week. I did have to hold the pulley back with the Amazon POS tool thing onto the little bolt while I wacked the 36 mm wrench I bought, anyway thanks so much, it worked now I can replace my shredded belt!!!

When I do it it moves the whole belt assembly how can I prevent this

Try using some WD-40 and give it like 5 minutes before trying to open it.

Also to counter the force use a flat wrench preferably a long one 13mm and let it lock on one of the bolts on the pulley and let it rest on the next one.

Hi question please I have a 2008 Range Rover HSE and the fan is just about all the time on and it’s loud, ? Should I change it put a new one or probably is there any sensor to be changed? Thank you so much.

I did not understand your question well. But what I understood is you have noise coming from your fan clutch. Maybe the fan is touching the cover shroud. Check it out. If not you may end up replacing you fan clutch with a new one.

If you've bought the remover kit try and hook it over a bolt head and hold it while you whack it to your right, it's reverse threaded so righty loosey

Most Range Rover fun clutch follow the rule of thumb. That is whichever way the engine rotates, to loosen the fan you have to turn the nut in that same direction. But this sometimes is altered by the pulley arrangements between the crankshaft pulley and the pulley that holds the fun clutch. Personally, I do not know why Range Rover kept changing the direction for loosening the fun clutch.

I have a 2011 5.0 supercharged Range Rover. After bending the tool I was using to turn to the right, I found I was turning the wrong way. Total misinformation
