It would have been more logical and easier if British India were divided on linguistic basis rather than the so happened religious one. Punjab, Bengal, Maharashtra (my native state), Gujarat, Sindh, etc all would be countries in their own rights.

Punjab should never have been divided. It needs to be reunited as east and west germany were. It is a tragedy that it was divided. We lost the most compared to any group. Since partition, both Pakistan and India are trying to destroy Punjabi culture.
Undivided Punjab i. e. Undivided India would've been a good idea along with Sindh and Baluchistan. Agricultural or other exports aren't possible without ports. Karachi would be second Mumbai. Also a lot of money would've been saved in defense spending.

But I strongly feel you have not done your home work properly hence it's not as good a vlog as it could have been but for lack of effort in the right direction. I disagree with the extrapolation worked upon by you. You had only clubbed the statistics as it exists today but have not checked the statistics which were recorded before 1947. You should have taken out data like number of districts and divisions as existed before partition. The administrative structure at that time. At the time of partition muslims were some 52% , Sikhs were 11 % and hindus were about 35% and the remaining other minorities. I have no reason to believe that this population ratio would have been much altered but for the army rule and religious bigotry that pervails in Pakistan since it's coming into being. I believe undevided punjab would have progressed but the population percentage as also economic resources division between population would have remained as it prevailed before partition. Last but not the least if punjab was not divided there would have been no Pakistan. India would have been what it was before partition. . Then punjab would be connected with sea also as also J & K , gilgit and baltistan would have been very much part of India including the areas given by Pakistan to China.

Brother, Isn't punjab still the biggest region of pakistan, what's stopping you from making punjabi language the official language of pakistan? I saw a pakistan punjab parliament session where you are made fun of speaking punjabi. 23% of pakistani population was sikhs/hindus at partition, where is it at now? How many punjabis of pakistan speak/practice/feel proud of speaking the mother tongue? I think pakistan can still do a lot for punjabi language. But I strongly feel you have not done your home work properly hence it's not as good a vlog as it could have been but for lack of effort in the right direction.
I disagree with the extrapolation worked upon by you. You had only clubbed the statistics as it exists today but have not checked the statistics which were recorded before 1947.
You should have taken out data like number of districts and divisions as existed before partition. The administrative structure at that time.
At the time of partition muslims were some 52% , Sikhs were 11 % and hindus were about 35% and the remaining other minorities. I have no reason to believe that this population ratio would have been much altered but for the army rule and religious bigotry that pervails in Pakistan since it's coming into being.
I believe undevided punjab would have progressed but the population percentage as also economic resources division between population would have remained as it prevailed before partition.
Last but not the least if punjab was not divided there would have been no Pakistan. India would have been what it was before partition. . Then punjab would be connected with sea also as also J & K , gilgit and baltistan would have been very much part of India including the areas given by Pakistan to China.

The truth is if punjab had been united as one distinct country with 78% muslims and just 12% Sikh and 8% Hindus respectively, it would have been another failed state just like Pakistan and Sikhs and Hindus would have been either converted, killed or forced to migrate to India. Look at Pakistan, Bangladesh and Kashmir, which once had substantial non muslim population which now is reduced to minimal. So had punjab become one United country with Sikhs and Hindus as minorities they would have even lost the punjab which they have today and would have ended up here in India or Canada.

First of all haryana and Himachal were never a part of punjab it's only after 1857 Britishers did it . Bcz in 1857 Western up and haryana were fighting for independence while king of punjab denied to fight . After that they want to punish haryana so they separate Western up and haryana even if you see the language and culture of haryana and Western up is very similar. ( i am Haryanvi) .
