You can lower your max wheel spin so no more fast tire in bonks, motor cfg, rpm. 14000erpm is about 30mph. Adjust it, then look under app ui to see how fast the tire spins. Just be careful because if you hit that speed you will nosedive.
Nico would be my vote for the trip down to test the Floatwheel Adv Pro because he's a Pro level rider as well as a VESC expert. I really loved this video, and how it shows off some of the performance gains using VESC and also 84v. I've been waiting to see the latest VESC tune doing a few things that I saw Jeff do: Riding down multiple stairs, climbing steep grass berms, and just the overall beating from impacts of those hits and drops and not causing any board hardware failures or firmware glitchiness. Time to finish soldering my VESC power and motor connectors and get my VESC running after watching this!
haha yeah we need a setting that lets me do stairs too, and then we need a setting for bonking up 3 steps, and maybe one to help me land body varials 😛
Brilliant idea! Bring in some VESC experts to give a true relative comparison of XR 84v hypercore VESC to FloatWheel 84v CanonCore VESC. There's only one issue with that currently. It took some tuning starting from Hypercore settings to get the similar designed Superflux performing at its best. The CanonCore motor is quite a different design with quite different field dynamics. Considering that, the CanonCore is performing well on Hypercore settings, potentially it has a lot more to give when the optimal tune is found. So it's quite conceivable in another few months the CanonCore FloatWheel well be unbeatable in every regard.
Well the FloatWheel will come shipped with the motor settings already "dialed" by them. Time will tell if that's really just straight outta the motor wizard, or if they put in the work to make sure it's tuned for peak performance. Either way, I'm sure we'll find more ways to make it run at least a bit better once its in the community's hands for sure, but hopefully they've done some of the guess work for us

@@leonenriquez5031 Biggest factors are still rider weight, PSI, and riding style and obviously terrain. Your range on a VESC can be equal to that on an FM board if you ride the same as before. But if you take full advantage of the extra power then your range will shrink accordingly

It destroys shoes.. but a little scrap of grip tape in front of your trailing foot placed on fender i find allows me to get away with some things i wouldn't otherwise when i just barely make a ledge, open tire always imo welcomes a much harsher bail if your foot gets scooped off . Great riding regardless :) . Saving your tune to app is something vesc has been missing ( funny, VESC again totalky leaving onewheel in dust.. gt will likely never get custom tuning ) . Great video guys

It's an alternative open source controller (there are multiple VESC controllers to choose from) that replaces the FM controller and can use higher voltage batteries. The firmware is open source and configurable.
What do you guys think about a split pcb controller ? Why not make the entire bottom of BOTH frint and rear compartment battery banks ? If you split the pcb and bridged it you could put the controller and bms over top... more cells, lowest placement for the mass... just a thought.

I think the quarter panels were just raw. You can always strip anodizing with oven cleaner. Yeah I think the bang was fat man as well.
