@@Ty-ye8rd After finding out it was false, I'm deleting my comment about the motor hub serialization. FM still needs to end their BMS disconnect bricking GT's "for safety" lies, though. They're shooting themselves with that move, unnecessarily creating e-waste for those who live too far to ship to CA and adding authorized repair centers doesn't fix the truth of why they did it, they are beyond greedy with that move and know very well its not for safety but profit and control.

I honestly just can't afford to send my GT back and forth if it doesn't work out of the box. That is already a lot of money, let alone spending it on a toy that doesn't work is just not an option. Funny enough I was considering buying a used XR or driving 7 hours one way to go get one but thankfully I found one closer. 😅
This is what I love about the TFL crew. Informative, spreading stoke and positivity, not succumbing to the hate train out there. They recognized the issues and they still focused the good, and worked with FM to improve it. Meanwhile developing the dopest mods, tires, accessories. I am so stoked to go ride.
First off this is such a massive win and the first step FM has taken towards fun since 4209 XR. I can tell no custom shaping hurt Jeffs feelings bc he needs nose up setting to test those W prototypes 👀
If they can adjust the pushback profile on a GT over the air why can't they do that for Pints? Everyone has said that Pint pushback sucks from day one and FM just let it go. Even into it's next generation with the X 🤦
It’s a beginner board that’s why. People complain too much about a safety feature that is supposed to let you know you’re playing with fire when ignoring it. Just don’t buy a pint then bit I love it.

Man I totally got my stoke deleted when my board bricked 1 ride out of the box but im so fuckin hyped to get my board back in a couple days, and even better to really get to know it know that this board has officially been dubbed rideable and certifiably gnarly!!!
So my only riding experience is with a Pint, and I didn’t even recognize that the XR had different pushback than then Pint. It sounds like FM has a good thing going with the GT, cruising around at 20mph and not fighting stiff pushback sounds like a dream.
See how much happier EVERYONE is when FM listens to feedback and takes unnecessary restrictions off the Onewheel. Now, all we need is replaceable FM batteries and we are golden. NOT mods! Just normal FM GT batteries.

If you're on the fence about the GT, the wait is over my friends. I was considering cancelling my order after all the noise, but sooo glad I didn't. GT absolutely smokes with v6.1 and XRs will never be able to keep up. Game-changer!
serios question for anybody who is experienced in riding,,,,, I want to buy a one wheel, as my first board, I am stuck on either pint X, or the Xr. Bodhi's PSA at 16:45 is exactly why I am not buying a GT. I have snowboarded for a long time but when I was looking at OneWheels I decided the GT was most likely too fast for me. Gonna stick to the Pint X cause my hands are too valuable to mess around on a GT.
I started On a meepo board then a boosted ordered a XR seems like the GT totally missed the quality stage. Cast rails? Firmware updates to fix problems lack of aftermarket accessories plus a 500$ price difference
Man I don't know how you guys ride that fast. Apologies if you guys have covered this before, but how do you maintain control of the board when your going that fast and hit bumps and rocks on trails?
so the gt has improved a lot !!!!? I'm now riding a WXR, and I've already spent a good amount of money I'll leave the GT for next summer in New England, if I move to Florida sooner I'll rethink buying it first…. congratulations for the videos you are the best !!!

With great power comes great heat plus summer is coming. To keep riding faster and longer, I fear Jeff you have to come out with a solution for the summer heat problem for the GT.

Idk how we'll get to replacing batteries so long as serialisation and volatile bms memory exist, but this firmware was a decent upgrade nonetheless :)

User replaceable batteries and standard inner rim tire size. When we get those things then we truly have an XR replacement.
