- A short video of my 1962 NSU Quickly S 23. This is a 3 speed Quickly that I bought back in 2019. I've done a few moped runs on her without any problems apart from a duff spark plug that I had to change and then she was on her way again. Great piece of post war German engineering!
Love the look of these bikes.😀
These Quicklys were an excellent Moped
the Honda Cub c100 50 cc knocked them out of the small bike market.
Bad luck Mike. We have all been there but it’s part of the fun of riding old stuff sometimes. My Raleigh RM6 has a habit of turning off its petrol tap when I have to pedal assist on steep hills. I refuse to admit it’s user error! Keep up the riding small bikes. In our local club we have a saying, “fast enough to go places, slow enough to see them”
@@wheelssleaford268 ha ha ! Yes I remember turning of the fuel tap on my RM6 with my flares back in the day! Then trying to suss out why the engine had stopped!
Hello Mike...that's a shame the NSU let you down half way round the run, yes i'd go along with the condensor breaking down diagnosis as well...being a hot day probably not helping matters either, hopefully i'll make the next run or we'll just have our own little ride out sometime.
Yes mate, I will get her running again and if you bring one of peds over to mine in your van we could set off and do the same route ?
@@MadMickey58 .... most probably keeping the Raleigh RM12 so will have to get it insured now.
This is the S2/23 model . I used to have a 1964 one . I now I have an F23 model. Virtually identical, but with rear suspension. I have souped mine up. Will hit 45 on the flat on a good day, but doesn't idle that well because of more radical port timing . These bikes are such a hoot around tight twisty lanes . Amazing handling
Is there something rubbing?
