Just a quick fun fact, the music that plays when cloud sees aerith and she says "I'll see you off" isn't the jenova music. It's ACTUALLY the lifestream theme. It plays during the opening segment of remake when aerith is crouching near the leaking Mako pipe, during the opening for rebirth to signify the people dissolving into the lifestream, and also at the lifesprings all throughout the world 😊
Oh my! Thanks for this fact! It totally changes the mood here. Even if this is only livestream Aerith, for some reason only Cloud sees her. Tbh I expected Tifa to be able to see her too after she went to the livestream…
@@iriscollector nanaki could sense her in the ending, so i am quite sure it is not just an imagination in cloud's messed up mind. aside from aerith nanaki is the most sensitive to the lifestream and whispers etc.

There’s a scene in the OG where he thought he was talking to Tifa, but it turns out to be Sephiroth/Jenova.
I do believe Aerith was there, but by no means is it 100%.

@@verselinesone thing the game is pretty good at is showing facial expressions and body language.
The main reason I think it most likely is Aerith, is because of the show of sadness she has for Tifa. Like she legitimately feels bad that her friend is grieving. Jenova more than likely wouldn’t pretend that way.
Whereas in the scene at the temple, I feel like she’s acting more weird the way she turns. And then some of her dialogue at the end doesn’t make sense to me.
Guess we’ll find out for sure in a few years.
That last "Goodbye" is like the final twisting knife to the heart. Not prepared for it.
I feel this hurts more than the original ever did. The team making this game from writing, directing and game design just doing a perfect job. They really make every cast and especially Aerith so lovable that it hurts so much in the end. The added sadness is that Cloud slowly breaking down, Tifa's reaction says millions things without a single word...
Cody and Briana smashing it out the park also elevated it, they were both immense.
This is not the first time I hear from those who played the OG (unfortunately I didn’t yet!) that Rebirth brings to the table a new set of emotions and confusion which makes this trilogy even more interesting than the OG.
Let’s see what they have for us in P3!

On the other hand, I have three more years to do my homework and to be prepared to P3! First the OG, EP2 of Ever Crisis, and somehow check Dirge of Cerberus…
@@iriscollector I would recommend just stick to the new game. So a lot of things that would happen in part 3 will be fresh for you. But hey, it's a great game so you're gonna having a good time playing it.

Aerith and Sephiroth have been playing chess in the lifestream since the end of OG. Both were unsatisfied with how things ended. this is why its also a sequel trilogy. Its why if you replay Remake knowing this, you notice it through the personalities of Aerith and Sephiroth and how they speak to you and about things. Sephiroth has been hunting Aerith in the lifestream since OG.
"So this is where you've been hiding. In a world that has accepted its fate". He never suspected a part of the consciousness of Aerith (a fighter to the end) would be hiding in a world she can't save.
He wants to end her permanently. They both knew, however, that the only way to beat someone who knows everything that will happen, is to introduce unknowns. Thats why they both wanted the party to destroy fate at the end of Remake. They are both playing new game +, while the rest are playing for the first time. They are both aware of the other versions of themselves. But the whispers took her memories and awareness.
Cloud SAVES Aerith with the parry. She trusted Cloud to save the last version of her. She trusted him to make the chess move for her even though Sephiroth was corrupting him. And Cloud did it.
"I have to admit, i underestimated you".
Cloud now sees like Aerith and Sephiroth can see. He sees the world shes alive in, because of the parry (rainbow lights signify defying fate). He also sees the rift in that world. P3 will reunion all the worlds.
The different worlds arent infinite. They are just the planet trying to stave off catastrophe but like sephiroth says "all of them are doomed to fade". His scope of motivations is enormous.

The music playing on 2:07:12 isn't Jenova's theme. It's a combination of two tracks: "Lifestream" (the track that usually plays at the beginning of FF7 games) and "Who Am I?" (the track that plays in the OG LS sequence)
To me what this indicates is that since Rebirth has already done majority of OG's Lifestream sequence in Gongaga, part 3's Lifestream sequence will most likely be related to Aerith and her unclear fate from Rebirth.

When I saw you crying with the song in the beginning of the dream date...I knew I was gonna like you a lot. Gonna check other videos later. I have decades of gaming (OG 97 player), and this is not just my second 100/100 game in life, but also the church scene is my favorite moment in gaming history. We are lucky to be able to enjoy this. Even though I watched this ending 30+ times, still breaks me. Thanks for sharing your moments.

About the Cloud holding aerith, i think the time we see sephiroth face he push aerith with both hands. He is strong ASF because of mako infusion, is a soldier.
[off the record] - THANK U! you’re the first person noticing this. However no need to worry, I have a racing setup chair for F1. These ones are usually very comfortable to sit and play. I have two pillows behind me for the neck and for my back. Most of the time I use only the back one bc this is what actually hurts more if I play for more than 5-6 hrs. there's shortcuts for screenshots. dun have to bring up the menu. just fyi. also there's some story hints in the credits. the memories of what happened to aerith were all blanked out in the credits. suggesting everything that happened it's in cloud's head and not real

2:04:11 The important thing to note is that you like a lot of us acknowledge the "different timelines" plot and how the devs are using that to keep Zack alive and give us an ending that honors the original by killing Aerith in the main timeline while catering to the fans who wanted to save her by keeping her alive in a parallel timeline. As far as whether or not she is alive, just ask yourself one question: Why would they allow Zack to live past Rebirth but not Aerith? That gives all the more incentive that Aerith will play a role in Part 3 beyond what the OG had.

I would like to take you through my various thought processes of Aerith’s fate during the final bit of the game.
NOOOO: Sephiroth falls from the sky
YESSSS: Cloud stops the blade
NOOOO: It glitches and reveals he got her
YESSSS: Aerith opens her eyes and raises her hand up to Cloud
NOOOO: She says it’s okay with a smile (usually not a good sign)
YESSSS: Cloud smiles with tears and says her name
NOOOO: The rest of the party see and are destraught
YESSSS: Aerith smiles and nods
NOOOO: She closes her eyes again
YESSSS: Aerith returns for the final fight
NOOOO: Cloud asks Aerith to thank him later and she seemingly somberly says “right” as if that probably won’t happen
YESSSS: Sephiroth says it might be a fever dream and Cloud doesn’t buy it for a second, saying it won’t work on him anymore
NOOOO: Cloud and Aerith have their backs towards each other making it look like they’ll separate
YESSSS: Aerith holds Cloud’s hand and says “ready, everybody’s waiting”
NOOOO: Aerith disappears but Cloud doesn’t
YESSSS: Aerith wakes up
NOOOO: It cuts to everybody mourning her making it seem just symbolic
YESSSS: Aerith appears by Cloud’s side
NOOOO: She says she’ll see them off and no one else can see her
YESSSS: Aerith walks from behind the plane and naturally fits in. When something is about to fall she reacts.
NOOOO: It becomes clear that no one else can see her
Unfortunately it ended on NOOOO. But believe it or not, I legitimately think there’s a chance we can bring her back in part 3.

I wouldn’t have too much hope. Aerith is very much dead and people don’t really come back from the dead in FF7.
I also think her coming back makes this a much worse story. One of the big themes is how Cloud deals with her loss. If she’s alive at the end, it’s sort of cheap.

1. Will Aerith live?
2. Will Seph win?
3. Aerith is dead. Seph will lose. Party will lose memories of Aerith and many other things and will not be sad.
Personally, what I want most is to save Aerith.

@@friedu685 I don’t think Aerith staying dead is the only way they can change things.
Cloud is already in denial and that is having a much more negative impact on the party, particularly Tifa.
The main themes of the story should remain. There are still major plot points that can change.
Sephiroth actually being defeated this time could be one. Finally destroying Jenova. Humanity not being wiped out. These things didn’t happen in the OG

@@iriscollector Aw thanks. I remember I was depressed for a long time after finishing the game, I played OG but I really wasnt prepared for this. I still rewatch some new reaction vids from time to time and I always cry watching it. Aerith is such a sweetheart 😢 😇
I can relate here… I have plans on playing OG, right now pretty tight with Ever Crisis on mobile which somehow covers the main storyline- but I wanna check the OG 100%.
I think it's extremely likely that Aerith is alive in another world, another timeline that Cloud created when he parried Sephiroth. He stepped into the portal alone and breached fate, like how the party did by stepping into a portal at the end of Remake. But only alone did he do that, so only he can see the alternate world, and therefore see Aerith. The Aerith who helps him fight Sephiroth is likely from the Lifestream, so there are multiple Aerith's.
Also might be the case, one of theories I got too! Let's wait until P3 :)

I was sad for about 2 weeks after I beat rebirth being a fan of Aerith since the 90s, I grow up with the hope that she will come back someday just like she said in the original and had hope that good can reduce evil to nothing, I believe she is alive in an alternative timeline, rebirth implies that. Actually I played IX and this is my top-1 games of all times. I loved every second of it. Especially the bond with Dagger. At some point, I felt we are connected :) And the card game, it took me a while to learn how to play it.
Also checked FFX. Wonderful storytelling and the world setting. Tidus and Yuna’s moment in the water might be my favorite part. And I literally cried over the ending… It broke me.
I have FFVII OG on my Nintendo, as well as VII. Didn’t have the chance to play a lot there, a couple of hrs maybe. However I heard tons of good stuff on FFVI, so probably gonna check this one out when the time comes.
In FF7 universe, I also played Crisis Core and Ever Crisis on mobile. Planning to recons very soon Dirge of Cerberus (I even bought PS2 for that 😁)

Girl you take a lot of screenshots, you really need to change your settings on the PS5 to take instant screenshots by pressing the Share Button.
Go to Settings-> Captures and Broadcasts -> Shortcuts for Create Button and just set it to “Easy Screenshots” with this by just pressing the button you will take the screenshot.
I know and this option is actually turned on, I just got used to make screenshots like this over the last 10 years because I have more control over the frame I want to capture compared to holding share button and missing the important shit. So, not the skill you can get over a day :)

I had the same reaction as you after aerith got the flower pin. I was immediately overcome with emotion because everything felt like a goodbye. Aerith wanted to spend a final happy moment with cloud

According to what I know and see with Zack in the timelines and the Zack version that joins with Cloud in battle against Sephiroth, every timeline that ever exist with Zack, Zack is planned to die even after surving his battle ojtside if battle but however the Zack version that Seohiroth sends him into the dark space which is known as the Black Lifestream, Zack was planned to die in the Black Lifestream but sunce Aerith knows that Zack is in the lifestream which the lifestream is ALL of the worlds or the worlds that we play as Zack, Aerith knows that Zack is alive in the lifestream but dead in the real world, so Aerith cleanses Zack from Sephiroth putting him in the Black Lifestream and cleanses Zack by transporting him into the white lifestream which is the white light that always surrounds Zack and Cloud sometimes. This Zack is from eurher the 4th or 5th timeline so Aerith leaves Zack wandering in the white lifestream until Aerith puts Cloud into the lifestream. Aerith knows that it takes more than herself to stop Sephiroth so she makes Zack go tap Cloud so they can reunite and fight Sephiroth. The plan here was to defeat Sephiroth but he splits up Zack and Cloud. By the end of the game Zack knows that theres more than just one world out there and so does Cloud and he is only able to see the rift now that he has woken up from Aerith's timeline rhe one where they had their final date. This was a tineline where she created for their final moments. Because this timeline is similar to the other timelines with rhe rift in the sky, the rift also appears in this timeline but Zack is not in this tineline. Because Cloud saw the sky he can now see the rift in the real world.
Now for the Zacks' in every timeline, Zack is meant to die. Even the Zack that jumped off the reactor adter Buggs got shot and according to the lore and what I know, Zack died by jumping off to his death where a day later his body would be found broken and in a bad shape. Shinra didn't take his body or bury his body but instead they took the buster sword and handed it to either Shinra or another SOLDIER to use so basically Zack's body was left to rot and decompose.
So how the lifestream works is that when someone dies they go into another world where they wake up in the same place or near the same area they died and they live in that world, so Biggs waking up at the orphanage the whispers may have teleported him there. For Zack he survives his battle and arrives back to Midgar and for Zack he doesnt know that he died in the real world so his memory of dying and giving the buster sword to Cloud woukd be removed and this is also caused by Aerith as she knows how dangerous Sephiroth is. She knows that Cloud and herself and the party can't fight alone so she brings Zack back but living in one of the lifestream worlds until its the right time. Aerith doesnt have the power to merge worlds or timelines together like Sephiroth and she onky has the power to transport someone into the white lifestream like how she did with Cloud.

All the meta stuff aside, omni areith/seph etc etc the OG players get a proper goodbye to Areith that we didn't get with the OG at the end of disk 1. I'm sure we'll continue to see her through lifestream influence and clouds fucked up memories/visions but getting a proper send-off at the end was a payoff nearly 30 yrs coming.

I agree, hojos, the worst he set everything in motion. Jenova is just doing what it as a lifeform is born to do. Sephiroth lookikg for a place to belong and finds that with jenova. Hojo is the big bad especially if you know what happens witb him and vincents backstory

In regards to FF7, I played only Remake, Crisis Core and Ever Crisis. But I do want to play Dirge of Cerberus (or at least to watch the gameplay on YT since I don’t have ps2 to play it)
And I have plans to check the OG FF7 later this year on my Nintendo :)

Not talking about you, because it looks like you're discovering the FFVII universe, but some of these are the same people who will tell you you don't understand the game because of their fucking ship wars on twitter when you are trying to make a reasonable point regarding the lore.
Yes, you're right. I’m still exploring the FFVII universe. I haven’t played the OG yet, but I know some of the context from there. My experience with the Remake and Rebirth is built around my general knowledge about FF7 + Crisis Core + Ever Crisis + Advent Children. I developed my theories based on what I saw and the context I thought was important.
I don’t participate in the ship wars because each player chooses what they want and like more.

Hey! Okay, so where do I start? I'm not sure about the way Cloud was positioned differently when it cut away from him when he was holding onto Aerith. I never noticed that, but now that I see it, I don't think it was done on purpose. I think he either just changed positions in between cuts, or it was just an oversight and was done by accident. Did you see that final scene when the temple collapsed in on itself, it looked like a black materia, also goes with what Aerith said about the one they found being a fake. Although, it didn't seem fake, at least not to Cloud or Sephiroth. The scene where Aerith wakes up Cloud when he is in the wheelchair, that was such a weird scene. Especially since it was the different timeline, but Cloud knew it wasn't where he was supposed to be. Then the scene where Aerith gives him holy and pushes him back through the timeline was equally crazy! I feel like Aerith pulled him to that timeline to give him holy because the other timeline needs it to survive since the one they're in is already dead, or there's only one that can beat Seph. It doesn't make sense though, why does she need Cloud to give it to herself in the other timeline, why can't she just do it? And why is her holy empty in other timelines? I also feel like there is an interdimensional chess match going on between Aerith and Sephiroth. Thats a good question on why Zack has her ribbon but Aerith still has it on. I can't decide if that part is real or not, she did say it was a dream, just a means to get holy to the other timeline? Yeah I'm talking in circles, I know. Sephiroth says "so this is where you've been hiding, kinda implying like she is the only timeline Aerith with holy and the ability to stop him. This kinda reminds me of the Marvel show Loki, if you've seen it. Sephiroth says there's a multitude of worlds, so way more than just a couple. Many timelines, maybe infinite timelines, every small variation has its own timeline. That's how I took it anyways. No I don't think Cloud killed Aerith, I think he saved her. It looks like there's a rainbow effect when timelines split. I think he saved her but then we jumped to a timeline where he didn't. But where did her holy materia fall into, the lifestream? That was amazing how Cloud and Zack fought together! 🤯So, you think that the Aerith at the very end is "lifestream" Aerith and not Jenova??? Or maybe it was Lifestream Aerith at the very end cause red sensed her. That head turn looked like Sephiroth so much to me though.🤔Well I definitely don't think Hojo is the "main" villain, but you never know. It's a shame we can't talk about this in real time, I feel like I'm just rambling here and none of this makes any sense. This was so much fun, it's a real bummer it's over!🥲
Not sure I’m able to write such a long theorized message in response. I have a few thoughts on the ending. However, the first idea that came across my mind was exactly Marvel and Loki show (yes’s I’m a fan) and at some point it does make sense. Probably there is a world where you can save Aerith, but the outcome still remains the same - she has to die. No matter what you do.
But after finishing the EP1 of The First Soldier, I have a feeling that it’s “ore” Sephiroth who stuck in the Edge of Creation, Aerith knows about it and plays chess with OG Sephiroth (bad one) in order to save everyone. I know it’s a bit crazy theory, but Square Enix definitely cooked in FFEC making me more confused about Rebirth ending in general…

I'm not sure what you mean by "ore" Seph, but in the OG isn't Seph at the crater reviving himself, so the whole time it's always Jenova we're seeing? I've read a lot of theories and some make pretty good sense. I'm going to assume in the end, all the worlds are going to come together, but "who" will be in the final world, that's the mystery! I know about the issues with translation, actually there are a lot of thread on Reddit and Twitter around the original Japanese dub which doesn’t really meet the reality either the English version. Unfortunately, rather than English, Russian and a bit of Chinese, I don’t speak any other languages and it’s hard for me to compare the Spanish, or French (yesterday someone mentioned that this version is also different)

Which is a good reason to start learning Japanese! I’ve noticed that all Japanese pubs/games put more meaningful stuff into Japanese dub, but English dubs somehow manage to deliver less context… 🥹

Always better to watch and listen to something in the language it was created in but I don’t understand why the English version is, sometimes, so different of the Japanese version when the French one manage to be almost literal from Japanese (at least for the scenes I watched). The church scene has a different vibe in French for instance.
That’s why It may not be a good idea to listen to some theories made from what they said in the English version.
I checked a few theories on Twitter from Japanese speaking folks (by translating their posts) - some of them provide the real meaning and the original lines in Japanese. So yeah - totally agree. We should stick to the origin here in order to get more intel.
I have my own theory about the end of the game, aerith's fate, and where it all might lead in later games.
I believe Cloud is seeing aerith really there at the end. However, it's the aerith from the timeline he created by blocking sephiroth's sword. There is evidence to support this. Like sephiroth wanting cloud to help him defy destiny and telling cloud he had his blessing and he'd need a final push to join him in defying destiny and merging timelines, how it had the new timeline rainbow efect when cloud blocked sephiroth's sword, how aerith tells cloud "i saw what you did back there. Thanks," how the scene changed when cloud walked past the circle of white whispers surrounding aerith at the end(before walking by them, the group was around aerith. After walking through the whispers, nobody is around), how the wind from the bronco was blowing aerith's hair, how aerith was still standing there saying goodbye after cloud and the others had already flown away, and even more that i cant think of right now off the top of my head.
The third game will involve zack trying to make cloud better so that he can save aerith. Not a lot of people seem to remember, but marlene told zack that cloud couldnt save her until hes better. This *has* to have payoff later on. Zack will help to make cloud better so that he can save the aerith from the timeline he made by blocking sephiroth's sword. Then, aerith will be permanently back(she's obviously coming back. She didn't even get her true final weapon in this game) and cloud and aerith will be reunited(theres so much foreshadowing for them being reunited).

Wow, lots of nice catches in here! Here's some more trickery to ponder:
After the deflection, when the glitch-switch happens while zoomed on the Masamune, it changes angles significantly. This is partially concealed with the camera roll position also changing. However, the new angle is one that the clone would have stabbed the sword into the ground himself.
Notice also that the blood runs toward the blade point. It comes from the direction of the hilt. But Aerith is way off in the opposite direction.
For a few frames also, you can see pools of blood directly under the clone. There's no way that's anyone's blood but his own.
That means, he actually stabbed himself and tried to pass off the blood as Aerith's to Cloud.
Why? Two reasons:
First, from the Jenova Lifeclinger Assess info, you can see that Jenova appeared as a result of "black-robed sacrifice" - the clone needs to die to summon Jenova. We saw the same thing earlier on the cruise ship.
Second, Sephiroth needed Cloud's despair. It's a part of his confluence of worlds trick. It's worth noting this part is NOT in the OG - this is a new plan from a Sephiroth that knows how the OG unfolded. This was actually his new end game (see: Sephiroth Reborn's Assess).
But it was foiled, because Cloud defied fate and created a split where Aerith survived. Sephiroth tried to cover that up to make him think he'd failed, but it didn't work (notice Cloud is the only one without a Limit at the start of the Jenova fight). This may be because Aerith also intervened to speak with Cloud and reassure him.
This worked in the short term, but it's going to have very painful repercussions for Cloud when he comes to understand the reality of the world he's living in.
I also wonder if you're right, and that in one world Cloud was made to kill her. That's not in the OG, but it's not entirely out of bounds given some other stuff in the OG that got cut or tweaked throughout, so. This could get real dark. And not just because he put the Black Materia into the buster sword (WHAT).

can someone correct me im thinking that the Aerith who give cloud the white materia is a different aerith from our aerith we lost the white materia so the other aerith in different time line (life stream been suck dry) gave cloud her white materia and i think that all aerith shares memories from each other... they show us that there was a timeline that she been saved but in the end they stick to the orignal story no promises indeed well played...
Yeah, I guess pretty much everyone thinks the same way. That Aerith knew her fate already. It's just the White Materia that contains the most memories and probably this is the reason why they exchanged it. I guess we will find out if that was the case in P3.
The whispers and the arbiter of fate in remake was the will of the planet. It wanted things to remain the same in remake because it survived but humanity was wiped out or became extinct ( Refering to og ending with red with his family with no humanity in sight 500 years into the future)
When the team defeated the arbiter of fate in remake it gave both Aerith and sephiroth more control over the whispers which indicated by colors

Ch14 was devastating. I hated the fakeout, it momentarily at least, overrode the emotion of that scene with utter confusion, but even with that I don't think any other game has left me as heartbroken, not even the OG.
Rebirth in general raised the bar so substantially that I have real concerns that Part 3 won't be able to follow that in a wholly satisfying way. Ch14 gave Part 3 SO much to do....
Agreed. Especially knowing the latest issues with sales expectations SE put and their initial strategy plans for AAA in the future, it’s hard to predict if P3 will be THAT good. They delivered everything here on god tier level.
However at this stage we don’t have any other choice rather than sit and wait until…2027, I guess? 😵💫

I think Part 3 will be largely immune to Square's new AAA strategy tbh, Sony have most likely already paid for exclusivity on the whole trilogy. We won't be seeing any more exclusives beyond that though, which is very much a good thing. Just hope it's not too late for Square. With Remake and Rebirth they've more than proven that they've still got it!

So glad you enjoyed this game, and enjoyed Cloud and Aerith's romance in particular. For me personally, the emotional climax was the scene in the church at the end of their dream date. Anyone who'd played the OG KNEW she was "fated" to die, and even newcomers have gotten plenty of information by this point to realize it as well. So Aerith (whatever version of her was in the dream, anyway) spending her last moments just having a sweet conversation with Cloud and trying to both prepare and prematurely console him was so heart-wrenching. And then her theme comes in while she sends him back to his world/timeline and Sephiroth enters the church? SUCH a good scene. The ending by comparison was a bit... messy for my taste. It's so confusing that it took the emotion out of it. Is she alive (in another timeline)? Is she dead and Cloud's full-on hallucinating and repressing the truth? It's so unclear and we won't know for sure until part 3. Plenty of people have given several viable interpretations but it's deliberately ambiguous for a reason. We just can't know the truth until the final game, which is both a good hook to buy and play said game, and frustrating as heck for anyone still hoping for a better outcome for Aerith. PERSONALLY I'll forgive the game for the mindscrew IF Aerith lives (or revives somehow I guess) but if she's dead for good I would have preferred the simpler outcome of the original game.
Appreciate your thoughts! The church scene is definitely my favorite in the whole game! However the ending was a bit messy (I agree) but it didn't ruin my overall experience. It did its job - to leave everyone with frustration. Especially those OG players who know exactly what happened. Right now ALL FANS are confused, and I think this is a very bold move by Square Enix! Let's see what they have for us in P3 :)

Best to play Ever Crisis: First Soldier to find out, it’s takes place long before Crisis Core …but as far as that game goes.. it’s also farther then rebirth too at the moment, like it still talks about the last 7 seconds for example in remake!!! 😅 Some also say that real 7 seconds might not have really happened in rebirth!?!? Maybe in next game,, also like for example none of that in rebirth was not really the real Sephiroth Either…. 🧐

In terms of Hojo theory… I think can be Jenova manipulating Sephiroth through Hojo, but who knows… Maybe Hojo is the real villain of FFVII. I love that SE decided to expand the universe of their OG game giving more context and new context to the fans
@@iriscollector Well according to Max Dood on TH-cam the Planet in itself might be also the real enemy to all on the planet even while Sephiroth was a young Teen, like the planet was already trying to release the Lifestream to kill all on the planet or turn everything on it into instant super monsters Planet Weapon Types towards the end of episode 1 of first soldier!
Max Dood now thinks The True Sephiroth might actually be keeping the planet from killing all on the planet by holding the lifestream true power back somehow! Other Evidence is like it’s true what looked like Sephiroth “Jenova Sephiroth”perhaps was trying to make Cloud kill Tifa at one point in rebirth but at the same time Sephiroth also save Tifa almost right soon after… this fact alone makes me think maybe there’s a good Sephiroth who comes out only when he thinks things are real bad or maybe it’s just me who thinks that maybe deep down he’s actually good.. 🤔 but we may never know for now… but it does frustrate me at little so far?

Cloud in the lore has always been described as unstable. It was clear from the original that he couldn't accept the loss of Zack and Aerith and also had mixed memory as he remembers that he was a SOLDIER and that he dropped Sephiroth in the mako reactor but this was Zack. He learns when Tifa confronts him who was there. In addition, he has a connection with them through lifestream and this is also the reason Nanaki senses Aerith. So yes she is dead but Centra always had an interconnection with the planet and lifestream.

Punisher mode is far more effective against Sephiroth. Cloud is a counter god, not an attack first character.

All I remember from my current play through is that Tifa was pretty useful against Odin fight for his materia!
@@iriscollector I’m halfway through my second playthrough and something I didn’t know is that cloud isn’t locked into your party! So you can do a Yuffie/Tifa/Aerith party or something if you wanted to.
I still think Cloud is the most balanced character when used properly, but Tifa and Yuffie are the most fun. Aerith can by far deal the most damage once your materia is maxed out.
