Speaking of sound mixing, your own music at the end of this video nearly blew my speakers. Take your own advice lol
For real 😂
Really though, I stopped watching the video as soon as he criticised the music. This game is going to win best score this year you dunce
@@karthisplaysreally though what? Your statement is completely different than the one you’re commenting on. He didn’t criticize the music, he criticized how loud it can get at times, like when an ad just blows up your ears for no reason.
Thx for the heads up, given the up votes it must be prty bad
@@karthisplaysaren’t you the dunce when you don’t even comment on what he’s talking about?
The reasses just blew my mind... had no idea touching the touch pad shows you details. Thank you.
Does no one read the manual in the main menu?
Did you not play Remake? And if no, why not??
I played Remake, and no, this was not obvious and even in the VR tutorials, it did not seem clearly communicated. I've also noticed this game doesn't do a great job with making controls immediately obvious like with other modern games. A lot of the mechanics require tutorials and memorization. Not a major complaint as this game is super fun, but a lot of modern games are starting to make mechanics more obvious now.
There is also an auto pick up option for all materials. That way you aren’t mashing the triangle button the whole way through the game! (Go to main options menu then “system” then “extra settings” turn “Materials Auto-Collection to On)
Who else had to use some paid time off at work ? 🙋😂
Haven’t been this excited for a game since Elden Ring.
I did I'm off till Monday 😅
Man, I’m so jealous. I have to work this week and I don’t get home until tomorrow evening. I can’t wait to start the game. It should be waiting there for me when I get home. Have fun.
I took Friday off, 3 day weekend !
Same
@@awfernandez203 day weekend for me as well. Can’t wait to leave work today 😂
I’m still chilling at the start menu🥹 about to dive in.
I'm about 12 hours in. Getting a break now. Loving it though.
Nostalgia hitting hard eh
ff7 classic is best
Me too

Happy launch day to those taking a FF vacation to enjoy the game
I created a queens blood deck that focuses on enfeeblement with both tonberry kings, 2 mindflayers, and mostly rank 1 cards. It is my main deck now. You can effortlessly win 60+ to 7 lol. I'll share it on reddit when I am not so lazy.
tonberry kings and replacement cards are the way to go, keep replacing your own cards and you can even beat the red queen that way, insanely broken deck!
Queens Blood is SO addictive 😁
I’m so bad at it
I hate it.
@@Maverick.D. other than the cruise, its entirely skippable anyway
i do enjoy queens blood but the ai doesn't try to win 9/10 times except in junon where you have a limited deck while your opponent has destruction cards
After losing to Chadley 20 times I quit the tournament. Got so mad.
@@namo2403u can easily win by playing high power up cards cause some have traits and boost up another card i understand she destroys them but in the end using the right cards and placing them u can win i beat all of them in junon
This is the 4th starting tips video I've seen and definitely the best. Nice job!
Absolute sacrilege to turn down music volume in a Final Fantasy game
I did the opposite, and lowered the voices 😆😆.
It’s only because the music by default is so loud. It drowns out a lot of dialogue and sound effects. FF16 had the same problem and I did the same thing, turned music down to 7, and it was perfect.
Agreed
To me it’s just some tracks, mostly sidequest ones, I’ve had no issues leaving it on default for 90% of the game
I put it 7-8 and it’s perfect there. The music itself is a masterpiece. Just a bit loud
How did I not notice the assess menu screen goddamit thank you dude that's gonna help me massively
I'm sure someone pointed this out already, but their is an accessory know as Assess Materia Earrings. As the name suggests, this allows you to use Assess without having the materia equipped. I think I bought it at a store in Lower Junon, but I don't remember for sure. Regardless, it could come in handy if you're looking to free up a materia slot, and the earrings function as if Assess is fully mastered.
yea I use it sometimes lol
Chocobo related : HOLD UP to pinpoint the scent for treasures
Hold up and look and it will reveal the treasure as well if you’re close enough.
Amazing tips. These are the kind that can really help make gameplay better. Thanks.
Thanks, just started and I was a bit overwhelmed. This helped me a bit.
Wow, probably the video I've seen that offers these kind of tips. Thanks!
Actually knowing about the touchpad and drifting my bird is actually so helpful
Great example choice on the sound mixing but I can't be mad at that part. I actually enjoyed that music track blasting over Kyrie's dialogue 😂
I've been a massive gamer for over 30 years, I have a slight hard time hearing so I always use subtitles and I already turn the music about 3 notches below the voice speaker volume anyway
Great game I’m on chapter 4! Taking my time with everything.
So he played FF7 Remake never knowing that already accessed enemies' intel could be shown by pressing touchpad during battle.
YOU CAN DO WHAT?!
300+ Hours and I just learned this now..
Queen's Blood is no joke, a fun and addictive game to play. Easy to pick up and learn but difficult to master. It's like chess meets pokemon. Despite what anyone says negatively about the Shiva card, it's gotten me out of some tight jams against difficult players. It's all about when and how you should play it. It's best to play it last after getting most of the pawns on the board in your favor.
This is what you get when you spend 30 years perfecting your work. You can see every aspect pulled from every ff to this point, come together, and make a masterwork.
Nice job! These are some great tips that I haven't seen anywhere else in the tips videos I've seen. Keep it up.
Touch pad for Assess screen during combat def a big deal for me. Was thinking there’s no way we gotta keep casting assess to get the info 😭👏🏽
Thankyou! I actually learned a lot, with this!
Thought I knew everything, 30 hours in and still learning!
Is there a way to quit out of a main mission that you are doing?
I hope they add a quick way to scroll the materia list one page at a time other than jumping by type, takes soo long to run through by end game
I was wondering if they will bringing some of the mini games like Fort condor and others to mobile devices so they could be played
I also just accidentally found out reassess after a few chapters! :D Set for all is a great tip!
I wish there was a way to make music at Level 12 instead of lowering it lol...
How do you control the dolphin in the game, is it using the gamepad itself or the directional control sticks on the controller, as I am very bad at this and can't seem to get pass this area to the next.
Ty. Great tips. My Frontline is Cloud, Yuffie and Aerith.
Where can I get the deck For the Greater Good?
Keep up the good work!
What Max's channel?
I don't know if it was added recently, or if it's only available in post-game, but a handy mechanic that I found in the menu after completing the game on the first playthrough is the automatic item pickup. If that's only available post-game, I'm not sure why that's the case.
The sound mixing was like that in remake, too. I had to turn music volume down.
I'm only 8 hours into rebirth, but I noticed something about the mini games. It's like the people in charge demanded they be fun. I usually find these kind of things in games annoying, but this game manages to make them fun.
Asses really needs to be posible outside of combat too. It's not like we can't observe most prior to the fight.
And anyone figure out a good way to pause animations in enemy intel?
The touchpad to reassess enemies was also present in remake 💪🏻
Not everyone will have played Remake though. Rebirth has a "story so far" before starting up a new game 😂
For me the music is perfect 👍
Music is great, but yeah, I turned it down to 7.
The mix is very ordinary. SFX are also a little loud.
You're first half was amazing! Other channels didn't touch on the shortcuts at all!
I'm watching this video right now and even after beating EVERY POSSIBLE QB MATCH in the game, I've just discovered there are card deck presets hahahaha. Ngl I've built a very unique and broken Deck, after level 6 I haven't lost any QB match (excepting those challenges at gold saucer). But It's nice to see the game actually tried to help people out there.
I didn't know the asess touchpad thing thanks!
Did you not play Remake? Was the same for that game
Queens blood is quite addicting if I do say so myself
First strike
ATB stagger
ATB boost
Are must haves in any character you use. In end game u should be able to have at least 2 of each for your active user character as.
Anyone got a link to the combat video they mention? No link or channel name in the description..
People made a massive fuss about Performance mode. 15 hours in I can confidently say that there was only 1 moment in the Nibelheim flashback where the textures looked funky for about 2 minutes
right the game looks fine to me on performance ppl just complain too much
The game is great but God the performance mode does look horrible on my LG c3
The textures have nothing to do with the criticism of performance mode. Textures are basically the same in both modes. The problem of performance mode is the very soft, low resolution image. This effects every scene, not specific ones. The difference is easily visible on a 4k TV.
wow the reassess is the best tip i could ever ask for lol, im already 60 hours into the game...
I hate card mini games with a passion since FFVIII but I really enjoy playing QB. It’s so easy to understand and I actively look for people to play against and I don’t get that frustrated when I lose because it’s easy to challenge the players again. I didn’t know about the auto build deck so I will have to check that out. My deck is currently built around destroying allied and enemy cards to gain points and extending across the board.
1:35 good advice overall...but there will be times where you'll have to focus on one enemy.
Like the Head Case simulator battle. Playing free is a huge mistake in that one.
I am stuck at pre selected parties it does not let me interchange members.. also I have cat sierh and Yiddish with the party and can’t use them at all on open world any reason why?
3/4 of the video is rather "10 Things I knew If I Didn't Skip The Tutorial"
Honestly there's so many tutorials it's hard to keep track of everything. I knew most of these only because of trial and error, not because of tutorials. And I watched every tutorial, most times x2/3/4 😂
Happy launch day✌🏾😁
Thank you for the asses touch pad info it majorially changes combat because i dont have to waste an atb bar
I play with subs but had to turn of chat window especially in town or around npcs
I've been playing over 50 hours since the game came out. I just learnt some useful stuff for the rest of the game.
More Tips Below!
Side note: Honestly I must’ve spent 10 hours in chapter 2 just running around going to all of the locations I could before doing a single quest only to realize that I had to explore every location again once I got the chocobo and our man Chad Chadley 😂. Thank god for Chocobos man. They made the process so much better along with fast travel haha. Prior to them, you can’t fast travel.
Id also say, don’t forget in Chapter 2 after getting your chocobo (it may be unlocked prior but idk) that you can immediately fast travel back into Kalm to acquire more side quests including QB matches (wooooooooooooo). Can’t tell you how much I love card games in RPGs (Tripe Triad, Gwent, etc…)
EDIT: Another thing I’d highly recommend is to go to Chadley as soon as you unlock him at Bill’s Farm and do all of the missions except Titan until you’re ready. He’ll be too Op at first. But you will gain a bunch of starting material that helps a ton for the easiest combat sims.
Always follow the tiny chubbier chocobos you see as they’ll lead you to a chocobo station where you just pick up the sign for them and it’ll unlock another fast travel location.
If you ever see a red bird flying that has a trail of glistening red “dust”, follow it! They will lead you to a rare Lifespring where you’ll obtain many resources for crafting along with being able to scan them for more extra buff Chadley points.
Johnny's chest contains sheet music to play Sephiroths theme on the piano.
Almost done junon and fidnt realize the assess thing. ... i could have swore i didnt have to assess each time! 😂
The sound mixing was an issue in Remake but the mixing issue is somewhat nullified using 3D headsets like the new Pulse Elite. The new headset btw, produces stunning 3D audio in your PS5 games.
The audio mixing issue is a pain. Queens Blood is very good but way too easy the only challaging match is the last one but even that was easy after changing my deck.
Lower the music?? I kept that at 10 and lowered everything else. It is that good that you want it blasting at all times.
Could someone please link the interview with Hamaguchi? Lucy and Tam
It’ll be coming out tomorrow!
The only small gripe I have with these remakes, so far, is how they've changed the presentation of Sephiroth. He has a bit too much screen time, especially in Remake. We shouldn't actually see him until the flashback at Kalm at the beginning of Rebirth. For me, it takes away that mystery aspect where you've only heard his name and you're following the path he's blazing, seeing only the aftermath (and corpses he leaves) until you finally catch up to him. I loved that in the original.
Ok the materia part is awesome and I will say I figured the chocobo kick move by mistake am glad I did lol great video I did learn of some new mechanics ( like the assist part)
4:19 oh hey I just beat the game after 100 hours and had no idea about the set for all materia menu!! So many hours wasted scrolling through lists to swap materia oh my god
Just finished the game and didnt know about the reassess
I am crying right now
Still, one of the best games I have ever played
One-winged Angel's sheet music is in Johnny's Chest
champing at the bit
I'm embarrassed about the assess touch pad hint. Lol, thank you
Where is Max's combo guide?
Where is the combat guide video?
For me there’s only three tips I wish I knew: Always assess, if you died your assess didn’t count, and you can change the map to always be a minimap on the corner that is always pointed north
Am I the only one who wants to build the Enemy Skill Materia? One of the best materias out there if you can get it early. (I wished it crossed over from the 1st installment fml but oh well). I wish I had it during that swamp serpent fight to learn that power.
Enemy skills are learned through chadley from combat simulator challenges. They are pretty versatile and great so worth the effort to unlock and complete them.
audio mixing is 100x better with headphones, guess they just have voices on channels away from the mid and they get drowned down on normal setups
The audio is fine with a full surround sound system.
Man the sound thing is common in video games. I always change the voice to max and all other sounds to mid range.
Text is missing 😢
Woh, prebuilt decks sounds amazing.
It just takes so much time to make a good deck, and adulting life doesnt leaves too much free time to waste on that.
I'm in chapter 10. Wonder what I'm doing horribly wrong
I wish and hope they add a "Swap all" Option on materia. cause swapping materia for 2 characters is annoying
OK so it wasn't just me being annoyed with how loud the techno music would be after some battles during cutscenes. I usually have the music turned down slightly lower than the voices and sound effects, but it was still blaring over the dialogue in some scenes. I'm really liking the overall game so far, though.
Music in rebirth is my favorite video game music
* Complains about sound balance issues
* Ends the video with a 200% volume song
one thing i wish i knew before starting was how to skip the nibelheim demo portion. i was playing through it thinking at some point i'll be prompted to skip it, and then just ended up finishing it. found out after that you're supposed to claim the Bonus at the main menu before the demo portion begins. the problem is when you start the game, it takes you right to the beginning of the game (skipping the main menu)
I managed to get this working; I think that before you start a new game there is some option to scan previous save data but I can't remember fully. Also you still have to go fairly far in to the Nibelheim section before it gives you the option to skip. I think once you get to the Mako Reactor after Tifa leads you there
It actually prompts you right after your first battle as Cloud solo.@@ukevo
I never had an issue with the audio mixing, i wonder why
Go to options and activate collect materials auto
Will game difficulty effect minigames?
Playing the game now still has that audio issue…
Wow I actually thought it was John Strife Hayes voice for a second.
I adjust music and and sound effects to be several notches lower than dialogue in literally EVERY game I play.
playing intermission rn and notice the volume mix issue is there too. Gotta be an engine thing
I’m taking my time with it, I’m on chapter 6 I think. The beach
How? I’ve clocked 23 hours and I literally just entered the two in chapter 4….
Same here! I'm 21 hours in and just about halfway through chapter 4 (favorite chapter so far..)@@jordancave3089
@@jordancave3089 I've been doing a lot of the side stuff, same boat here. I think it just depends on how you play the game
I have a feeling Johnny is keeping the Götterdämmerung from you. 😂
Had no issues with audio.
Man how I wished I watched this before I started
Champing at the bit??
Music and SFX being too loud is a problem in a lot of games. It's the first thing I change in every game.
Music hasn't been an issue at all in my playthrough.
I pre-order my ff7 rebirth of the remastered of the original chronicles complete edition for the ps6 it's going to have 7 minutes of extra content 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
