    Even the other one also too warm - 13F is too warm, you would need a range down to -20F, this is the temp of an expansion valve at -10F......and that’s with no wiggle room.

      Hands down, I’d suggest try the C5 if you’re looking for a low-cost, compact solution. It has a much higher resolution but nearly identical physical size and for the exact price the C3 used to be. If price is a concern, the FLIR One Pro is a go option as well but has its disadvantages as well. Let me know if you’d like a good deal on a camera. You can shoot me an email at eric@ietechnologiesllc.com if you’d like. Thank you!

    Great video, but how do you decide when to use the lock temp scale feature or not?

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi @Johnfsu - it's not so much a question of when to lock the temp scale or not, it's more of a matter of awareness of what that scale is set at relative to the target you're inspecting. If you're looking at the drive end side of a motor that should be between 110-150F but there is other equipment running hotter in the field of view like a boiler or kiln, you'll want to adjust your field-of-view to eliminate the back temperatures, or lock the scale around the motor temperatures in order to see only thermal details on the asset you're inspecting. I hope that helps!

    • @Johnfsu
      @Johnfsu ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ietechnologies72 Thank you so much for the quick answer! If I am understanding you, the user can/will use the lock to help maintain the scale depending on conditions in the field of view.

    one limitation I can see is it only goes down to 14F, This would only be good for medium temp or above

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! It’s a great camera for refrigeration, especially to utilize the Cold Spot Detection feature on the C3 (not available on the C2). It should work for most refrigeration applications and while you may not be able to measure the temperature below 14F, you’ll be able to visually pick up non-uniformities or abnormalities which could be just as important, if not more important. If temperature measurement is important to you, take a look at the TG165 from Flir. It doesn’t have near the features as the C2/C3 but it does go down to -13F and up to 716F and is much less expensive ($375.). We have a tutorial video on TH-cam for that instrument as well!

    Is it possible to analyse the saved images without downloading? What I would like to do is take a photo and analyse the temperatures of different spots later. Thank you!

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the question! You certainly can do some analysis, image manipulation, etc, after the image is taken but not from the camera. It would have to be brought into FLIR Tools Software or the FLIR Tools Mobile App, which are both free. There is very little you can do on the camera to an image after it’s been captured, unless brought into our App or software.

    Is there any way to get video off it? I understand video isn't included, but in theory it might output to an external device that records the screen. In a sense, this video itself is an example of that.

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching - absolutely, you can get video off of the C2/C3 cameras. You'll need download the free Flir Tools Software for your Mac or PC. Once that is downloaded, when you connect the camera to the PC, open Flir Tools, click on the Instruments Tab in the top left corner of the screen, click the white/gray lightning bolt to connect to the camera, and then you can record video live by hitting the red circle button. Feel free to email me at eric@ietechnologiesllc.com if you have any issues. Thanks again!

      Hi Kevin - thanks for watching. While I didn't cover that portion of it in this video, here's a video created for that WiFi connectivity portion: th-cam.com/video/5YDMsllkNh8/w-d-xo.html
      Also, the WiFi is only available on the C3 (not the C2). You'll also want to download the "Flir Tools Mobile" App in the App Store on whatever device you're connecting to the camera. Thanks again! If the video link I sent you isn't sufficient enough, let me know and I'd be happy to upload a video on how to do this.

The link did cover how to connect the C3 w FLIR tools to my ipad, etc & take a photo w that device; but the video did not visit how to live stream from the C3 to that other device, which I understood was a capability of the C3. Appreciate any clarification you may provide, thank you.

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kevin - the C3 does not have live streaming capability. The WiFi is used for importing images and taking snapshots via a tablet, smart phone, etc.

      Yes, this would definitely help but it would be best to do the inspection (assuming you’re talking about drywall/Sheetrock) when the temperature inside is much different than the temperature outside to maximize visual contrast.

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It would completely depend on the severity of damage. With enough environmental temperature contrast inside and outside the home, you should be able to pinpoint termite damage.

    You might consider making a more professional "in-focus" video presentation, being that you're a tech-related company, this is extremely amateur using a GoPro and holding your subject too close for focus. Tedious to watch, I expected better from a "tech" presentation. Maybe get someone else to make your presentations? You don't get a second chance to make that first impression.

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you for the feedback! I understand it isn't professionally done but it is all we had available and wanted to get these instructional videos out as soon as we could to help support those who did not receive instruction on the devices they've purchased. We are a company of two employees (my wife and I) so we did what we could in a short period of time. I hope to continue to improve these videos as we gain traction and support from our customers/followers. Thanks again!
