    The spec sheets say it has adjustable emissivity ranging from 0.01 to 1. The only options I can find are the pre-set E values. Are the adjustments only available via the software or after the photo has been taken?
    Thank you!

      Hi Joli Moli - are you using one of the T-series cameras? Nearly every camera that FLIR/Teledyne has, allows you to adjust emissivity from .01 to 1.00. If you have this camera (or an E-series or C-series), you can adjust this while operating the camera in the "Measurement Parameters" menu. If you hit the select button on the camera, it'll bring up the menu on the bottom of the camera, in that menu you will see "Measurement Parameters", on this camera it's the second menu from the left. Once in that menu, Emissivity will be on the far right. You can see that menu around the 9:00 mark in the video. Otherwise, Emissivity can always be adjusted on the camera after you capture an image or from the software. If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to shoot me an email at eric@ietechnologiesllc.com. Thank you, I hope this helped!

      @@ietechnologies72 thank you for sharing! We use a T540 but have specific E values we need to set

    • @ietechnologies72
      @ietechnologies72  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Johamo Do you mind me asking what that value is? I'm assuming your Emissivity options are showing up on the camera as surface materials with a suggested Emissivity? Please go to the Settings Menu on the main screen, then Device Settings, then User Interface Options, then Emissivity Mode, and make sure it's set to "Values" and not "Select from Materials Table".

      @@ietechnologies72 we are doing a training lesson of plotting a graph for a tracking how temp values change per .1 value change of E.
      Thank you for the direction!

      @@Johamo That's great, very important lesson! That might be easiest to do in Live mode using the FLIR software as well, just a thought. Good luck!

    I want a 4k native thermal camera.

    I saw in your photo gallery there was a pickup fitting into the FOV quite well. In your experience do you think these cameras have the capability to see a semi in their FOV as well?

      Hi Erica! It completely depends on the distance you are from the vehicle and also what FOV lens you have on the camera. I have a 24 degree lens but the closer to the target you are, the more beneficial a wide angle (42 degree) lens is to be able to see everything you want without having to back away from your target. There’s a really helpful FOV calculator on FLIR.custhelp.com as well, or you can shoot me an email and I’ll send you the information: eric@ietechnologiesllc.com

    Do you have a video that covers the FLIR T1020?

      Hi Alex - I have not yet put together a video for the T1K but we certainly could. Do you have questions about it that I can help with? Feel free to email me at eric@ietechnologiesllc.com.

      @@ietechnologies72 Thanks for your quick response. I don't have a specific question. I was simply looking for an instructional video on that camera similar to the one you made for the EXX cameras because your videos seem so thorough, professional, and detailed. I am working on a presentation on thermographic inspections and wanted to include a video on the T1K FLIR cameras since my company has a few of those.

      It might take a few weeks but we can put one together if your presentation isn’t coming up too quickly.

      @@ietechnologies72 That would be awesome if you could. My presentation isn't for another 6 weeks or so. I have a mock presentation next month, but the actual presentation is in early July I believe.
