- We enjoy an early morning walk up the hill to Castell Dinas Brân, Llangollen. Our reward is a great breakfast at The Wharf Tearoom by the canal. Later that afternoon we take a drive up the Horseshoe Pass.

Your today’s walk reminded me of some of the hills that I had to climb to get to some of the castles and village ruins in Scotland. Love taking these walks with you in my mind while I enjoy my espresso from home

I love the way you are free to explore and able to have the versatility to get into places bigger vehicles can’t. We have purchased a Kea Breeze 6.2 metre motorhome Smaller compared to some but still bigger than I really wanted. I am determined to get the confidence to drive it but a van would feel less intimidating and easier to find a park. My husband does the driving for now he has no worries.
That’s what we love about having a small van. The compromise you have to make on space is outweighed by the ability to park easily and get down those narrow lanes. Carol would also feel less comfortable driving a bigger vehicle.
What great views on your and lovely drawn footage. It was certainly a well earned breakfast that seemed to hit the spot. Yum! 😋

BTW next time your in Shropshire in Whittington, turn right at the Old Boots Inn, drive straight on for 5 miles and come to Ellesmere. Known as Shropshire Lakeland. There are several wildcamping spots I can think of and I'm sure other campervanners know ofmore

Now that's what I call a breakfast. When my wife became unable to manage in a motor motorcaravan we did a number of Lochs and Glens holidays and I always thought the best bit was coming down to a proper breakfast in the morning. Scenery and Scotch distilleries notwithstanding of course. That was a really good demonstration of the beauty of mid to north Wales's beauty I must say. I really can't wait to see your take on Anglesey and the area surrounding it. Are you intending going down the Lleyn peninsula this trip ,I wonder ? My wife loved steam trains and when I showed her the Ffestiniog railway you'd have thought she'd died and gone to heaven. Keep on truckin' and putting out my favourite vlog. Here's to the next bit. 👍

Brilliant place for you to park up is Parys Mountain and an amazing walk around the Coppermines - amazing views n pictures taken there are spectacular. Also theres a park up in Amlwch Port harbour but you'll have to stelf park .

Looks like a good breakfast Ken, but not as good as our ulster fry. Fried potatoe and soda bread, fried pancake, sausages, bacon, black pudding, white pudding, eggs, beans, tomatoes and mushrooms, toast and builders tea. You couldn't eat it every day, well not if you value your arteries, but it's OK for a treat a few times a year. Lovely video as usual, your getting some great weather

Went to the market in Oswestry, a WI stall selling their homemade butter was the best ever tasted. Dont think its possible to buy these days due to new health and safety rules

Periodic fasting such as no breakfasts when we are at home and no snacking between meals. When we are away in the van we like to treat ourselves though 😁

Beautiful views & great walk. I miss hiking. Most mountains are still closed for hikes/ tourists over here. I appreciate the what3words links, as I learn more about your location. Thanks Kitty. The prefix “Llan” in Welsh means enclosure, in the sense of an area of land separated out for a special purpose. It’s come to mean a sacred enclosure (the church and its land) in modern Welsh.

I watch almost all TH-cam videos on 1.5 speed so that runner going up the hill was going so fast it caught me by surprise. LOL. Got my second Pfizer vaccine today in Canada. Hopefully that means travel again soon. Hope you are both well. I am loving all your adventures.

How do you find out that you can stop in the pub carpark if you buy a meal/ drink there, please?
I think most pubs would let you stay if you say ‘If we have a meal and a drink can we stay’. If they say no take your business to another pub. Park 4 Night app lists them as well.
