Dr. Furlan I did it! Today, I woke up stiffer and more painful than usual and made up my mind that I was going to do these stretches per my Rheumatologist, and I did it. I felt better afterwards and am so glad I made myself keep my promise to myself to start. I am so pleased that I found your videos (with my doctor's help). My doctor wants me to do stretches first 3x a week and work up to 30 minutes daily since I am unable to exercise like I did when younger (I'm 72) - but she said exercises will help my fibromyalgia pain. May not remove it altogether but will make it bearable. Thank you. My only issue is that I am unable to get on the floor as I cannot get back up, so I did the floor exercises on my bed. Next time, I'll put my mat on the bed to make for a firmer surface.
Thank you again!
I am always weary of fibromyalgia stretches posted by people who may not necessarily be qualified in the medical field. It gives me hope and confidence in knowing you're a doctor. Thank you for doing this!
Hi there. I have almost 30 years since I graduate from medical school and have helped many people with fibromyalgia over all these years. I hope you find benefit from these exercises.
Thank you Dr, I’m sure we will 🙏
Thank you so much doctor. I’m a medical student & I have fibromyalgia, it’s been so hard to keep up with the school as the pain gets worse with the anxiety. But now I decided to do these stretches everyday when I wake up, as it helped me a lot.
I hope you specialise in fibromyalgia 😉 Good luck with your studies, and managing your fibromyalgia.
Wonderful! I'm excited that the whole video series has now been posted. Thank you for creating these. The added/extra benefit is that your voice is very relaxing to listen to. Really helps to sooth my stress.😊
You are so welcome!
Good fantastic stretching exercises demo for fibromyalgia dr.andrea completed the last component of exs session in light intensity for chronic conditions. All stretching exs are easily understandable with clarity and very easy to do for such an acute flare up patients ... in my experienced these neck sideflexion stretching while sitting in stool and grasping with ipsilateral hand on edge of stool this exercises plays a great role in brachial neuralgia along front back neck stretches as you have shown. In your myofascial neck pain stretch demo video you have explained from that day i have applied taught more than 100 patients ...within 5 - 7 days 50 to 60 percent radiating pain and intensity of numbness reduced to mild category ( visual analogue scale 8cm reduced to 3cm ) amazing ..so if we follow all stretches gradually to these fibromyalgia patients people will live manageable peaceful life without reccurences. Amazing dr andrea ...keep doing ...i admire your passion ..no more words to write .you are something speacial great dr
