The new intro is so 🔥, also the whole video version is so polished so quickly
In case you haven’t realized it yet, this was prerecorded. At one point Charles messes up the drop date and I think someone corrects him and says it is coming out on or after Juneteenth. Screeners are still alive and well. Still a good edit though
@@heevestenry5384 I meant polished so quickly, as in they only debuted on TH-cam a week ago, and they feel so much more comfortable and have thought to add things to enhance the video experience. Having extra time for editing probably really helps that too, and I don’t really mind the pre recorded part.
not being able to take a sh*t at your homie's house is effed up. come on Van, it's a necessary part of being human. you should just say no one is allowed to eat at your house either. we have bathrooms for a reason, my guy.
I literally had to switch off this vid when you brought up the 👁️ scene 🤢🤢🤢
Acolyte pod on its own matched HOD viewership numbers. So dumb to publish this later with the boys thats got only 60% of the views. Publish night of acolyte and combine with the boys if you have to. But doing it like this is the worst possible way
So bottom line you want separate pods for each show
@@LaCheeseriethey are releasing immediately after the boys. Even if they keep it combined, prioritize releasing it after the acolyte instead.
@@seanmac4854 Oh I see. Yeah I get it
Pew pew pew!
so glad we get to watch the pod
Been listening to y'all since the Pandemmy. Not gonna front, none of y'all look like what I thought (outside of Van who I already knew) lol. But damn I love y'all. Keep doing your thing! #MidnightBoys
Charles: "So, I'm not going to my condescending high minded critic ish"
Me: "Condescending high-minded critic ish in 3, 2, 1...
Everyone's reaction to Van is hilarious lmao
Why Charles hating stat so low lol
Yall need to hit up Jessica for the black woman pov
I just realized Sister Sage is Charles watching pop culture entertainment. He cant turn off his innate intelligence and critical eye. She's the same with everything. She has to take the edge off to find genuine enjoyment for a while.
This isn't a shot at Chuck btw. He's genuinely a brilliant dude. But the other half of that is not being able to turn off that criticality without some effort.
I get some of that. But he just be trying to "Galaxy brain" every scene. Talking about "he don't know if the show earned it". TF? The lobotomy shit is just part of her character. Before she was recruited by Homelander she was at home reading books and lobotomizing herself to relax just like she's doing now. It's just another side effect that comes with being a supe on this show. If she was a white man it would have just been a thing that she does to relax. He would have been saying " damn that's kind of fucked up that he has to do that". But now that it's a sista, it's a whole other thing that the show has to earn to be able to show you etc.
@@MJ-bt6zx I get what you’re saying but, it feels like this season is really pushing the boundaries on what we think is okay or too far. This episode was a lot depending on how much you’re into really grotesque satire.
LOL, Charles tried to joke on Steve and he is the one that missed Juneteenth. Van let him slide!
Homelander sealed her in that room he sealed the door shut , she’ll starve she is gonna have the worst end out of anyone in that basement
Dehydration before starvation.
Why does Van wearing a cowboy hat not surprise me at all
Homelander isn't trying to heal. He's not looking for answers. He's trying to purge his humanity.
The person who didn't know that there was another word to describe "shawtys" and "females" suddenly cares about the portrayal of Black women
Did I hear Charles right when he said he wanted the Sister Sage character to already be fleshed out in only 4 episodes?
Charles has that Megamind head shape
fucked up...
Due to Jomi begging, I've subscribed.
What do we think, did Steve win the Drip War this week?
Absolutely.
Have they ever had an episode where Steve shows some backbone and actually stands up to Chuck's insults? Being bullied by the corniest dude on the pod every week is not a good look.
Charles is the least self aware person
Chuck: Hughie is useless.
Everyone else: No he did some stuff in this
Chuck: Yeah, I had a problem with that too.
Hughie does nothing, he's mad. Hughie does something, he's mad.
On a balcony in Miami is crazy
Smart women bang dumb guys ALL THE TIME. It was completely within character.
Interesting that they forget Stan and Noir were black... and if we're being honest, this show is MUCH harder on its Muslim characters.
It must be hard to watch everything through a racial lens.
I’ve been a fan the ringer podcast for years, Van is my least favorite podcaster of all time. When I hear him on any episode for anything I cringe. He goes on so many random rants and story telling that just takes you out of discussion at hand. Recently started listening to the midnight boys and he makes everything inappropriate. Idk if he’s goal is to be funny but it just misses the mark. If I didn’t like everyone else I would skip anything Van is on.
Chuck is going to be catfished by an Asian “influencer “. She’s gonna take everything from him.
"The Southbay Stepdaddy" 🙂
This is probably one of the funniest episodes y’all put out
When Van starts talking about Inside Out I definitely rewound to see each hosts reaction in real time lol 37:36
Van isn't really asserting that all male-female friendships are like that but honestly in retrospect he has a point. I've had a lot of female friends and especially when you're young and have an idea of the kind of girl you're into and they aren't exactly that it's easy to ignore that there's a mix of things going on.
Why do they act like everything Van says is some wild off the wall thing like he makes good points
I do say it exactly like that, Van. "OMG its the Midnight Boys"
I've been a Star Wars fan for 47 years, and I love "The Acolyte". ❤
Charles gonna end up with a Vietnamese woman 😂
Blaming any criticism on incels is such a copout.
Love the fact that Cambodians got a shout out!
Also, can we get Van a fan? Ill buy it. #getafanforVan
Big fan from Mozambique
Can Charles gib us his review of Costco?
#cockoo for this content
🤣🤣1:13:58 🤣💀
Van is the greatest! 😂😂
Vietnamese
DEFINITELY Filipino for Charles
LOL LOL LOL!!!
Suprised you guys didn’t talk about the Ki-adi-Mundi conspiracy of it all😂
Because they don’t care. They don’t care about Star Wars
That fact that Charles can consistently hate on X-Men 97' and The Boys but yet enjoys The Acolyte explains alot.
So, apparently, "the drug that firecracker has is used by cancer patients the alternative use is for increased production of breast milk in mothers" (Quoted because I read it elsewhere then looked it up) Seems like Homelander took her up on the "I'll do anything for you" offer 😒
Charles is gonna go to the wrong (right?) Olympics party and end up with a wifey.
The new into is soooo dope. Great show Mid boys !! Can’t wait to hear Charles the complainer talk about Blade. 😂 big fan
Charles last season on their premiere review episode said that A-Train was the whackest character. Now he's upset about it, make up your mind my dude!!
Love how Van just always keeps it real. It makes me think that the other guys are much younger than him. ps I’m knew to this pod.

Clearly y'all can't handle Sage's Flavor Town....
The reason none of this makes sense is because Mae and Osha are the same person, and there will be a big "Fight Club" reveal with force projection or some other nonsense. That's why the younger twins are fraternal.
37:50
yoo the stat card has Steve pandering maxxed out lmao
This episode was such stupid Star Wars - I kind of liked it cause of that lmao. Also, Bazil - MVP of the series so far.
Edit: That best buy story lmao - ADAM GOT HEART.
Second Edit: THE LAST TEN MINUTES ABOUT CHARLES NOOOOO LMAO.
Agree with all that. Manny close second mvp.
The boys is meant to be hard to watch, if him torturing people was easy to watch there would be a problem. Kinda feel like you just gotta know what show you’re watching
Yeah. They say Homelander is the most terrifying villain in a long time. Then homelander does some terrifying shit. And it's like "oh my God that was hard to watch." In casino Royale when James Bond is strapped to a chair. And that guy keeps swinging that thing at his balls. That's much harder to watch than what happened in this episode. This episode was par for the course. I had no idea people would be reacting as if something monumentally grotesque happened. ...also the shrinking man going inside that man's pee hole, and then sneezing. First few minutes of episode 1 season 3. Now that was disturbing. Nothing in this season has even come close to that.
Count how many times Chuck will say.
"To your point."
This is a legendary episode... I love Van 😂
Is that a Love Island bottle I see there Jomi?
That Blade movie joke! 😂
Will firecracker barf acid or explosive gas?
I'm loving being able to watch the pod now
Awesome
Pew pew pew

What on earth is wrong with Charles
Yes
Yep, love the show on youtube
Turning Homelander into a sympathetic villain is a bad choice imo.
been that way since the first season
The Acolyte is CW Star Wars.
I spend like 90% of every episode pissed off at Charles, but dammit I love that guy
Just because Sage says they are the smartest person doesn't make it so.
Her behaviors aren't reflective of the smartest person in the world.
Is living alone self lobotomizing and eating junk food what you imagine yourself doing as the smartest person in the world?
Lobotomy is crazy but eating junk food is ok. Like I’ve seen teachers drink soda and shit. There still human
