I know they give Van shit about being the "old man" on the show, but his perspective is necessary. That Limp Bizkit Effect speech was getting good before it veered off direction and made perfect sense. You need an "old dude" to explain all these things to Charles and Jomi.

Dope podcast only recently found you guys and I’m working my way through all the old episodes on Spotify. I think the new Superman suit is ugly as f*ck but the colours are perfect. I think he’ll be in a more classic looking suit by the end of the movie especially with characters like Mr Terrific in very comic accurate costumes. I think it’s Ulysses and not Ultraman in the set photos so we might see the solar flare ability make its big screen debut. Will you guys speak on MAWS season 2 when it’s all finished? And you did big blue dirty because his rogues gallery is top tier: Lex, Brainiac, Toyman, Mxyzptlk, Darkseid, Mongul, Atomic Skull, Metallo, Kryptonite man, Bizarro, Ultraman, Zod, Parasite, Livewire, Cyborg Superman, Silver Banshee etc. they may not be as well known to casual fans but in the context of the world it’s an A tier villain roster.
Y'all should change that back drop screen saver of Homelander to A-Train. Just do it and don't say anything. Don't even explain it. Just do it.
I think it makes sense that a Sith can take multiple Jedi because the Sith are more of a "survival of the fittest" setup. A master chooses the atrongest apprentice that they manipulate. The Jedi play a numbers game. They get all the kids, promote the strongest, and support all the rest as needed. So Sol was the All-Star, All-NBA player, Jecki was a top draft pick ready to contribute immediately, Yord was a first round bust, and everyone else were ver minimum players soaking up minutes (or sabers).
I think this Acolyte show picks up from here. The acolyte direction and acting isn't the greatest, but they answer all plot holes.
Episode 4, Mae talks with Manny about wanting to quit this mission but being afraid of their master (Manny). How she was afraid to fight a Wookie Jedi master because it's IMPOSSIBLE to kill him without a weapon. Then, she sees a way out. Self preservation, not a change of heart.
This episode she didn't turn her self in and took her sister's place.... Self preservation. She hasn't gotten better as a person.
Sol will figure out it's Mae soon, or she'll stay quiet and leave for self preservation. He has to actively try to read minds, he doesn't just always do it without trying

A notable example of a Jedi who was wanted to and was going to kill someone unarmed was Mace and Palpatine. But even then, that's probably the only one. And Qimir apparently is a play on Qamar that means Moon in Arabic.

The Boys is, at this point, very clearly headed towards an ending similar to that of the comics. I think this season will end with a cliffhanger that shows Homelander leading a coup, then next season that will probably be resolved halfway through and the rest will be the fallout and final confrontation between the two key characters in the series who are not Homelander.
