    Dude, you are a LIFESAVER!!!! Your method of using the coat-hanger to get through the firewall gasket worked like a charm (although, I used bailing wire). It was still a B***** to pull the switch wire through, but I would have never thought of that.

    Great job!! I bought this exact kit for my wife’s Corolla and I’ll be following your instructions when I put them on tomorrow. Very straight forward and precise my only question is which fuse did you tap? Looks like the 4th or 5th one from the left but it’s hard to tell? I bought the fuse taps as well.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I want to say it was the 5th spot, but some cars are slightly different with different options. So I would just double check the fuse spot with a volt meter to make sure it only turns on with the accessory power.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Those wires I am splicing into, are specifically for the DRL. The fog lights I installed in this video had optional DRL to install.
      So to explain it. I just ran the positive wire to the positive terminal and I ran the ground wire to a bolt next to the battery.
      Hope this explains it a little more.

    In Pennsylvania, you need a relay switch installed on the high beam wiring, to turn off the fog lights when the high beams are turned on.

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s why I’m lucky to live in Florida. I don’t have any inspections or laws against doing this!
      So I can independently turn my fogs on and off no matter what lights are on!

    What about if you use a LED bulbs on the fog lights and connect the fog lights harness directly to the Car Park lights harness,So in this case you don’t need to run on this wires to the battery and inside the car??

      I don’t have one specific about just DRL. But my fog log video shows how I wire up the DRL’s and the fog lights. It should get you close to what you are looking for. All you will need to do is take the wires from the DRL’s and the ground wire will either go to the battery or a bolt on body of the car. And the positive wire will need to go to a fuse that only turns on when you turn on the car.

    Brandon! So, I got regular fog lights without the DRL which means that’s a wire that I don’t have to worry about connecting once I’m inside. I just need to ground the blue which I already know where to do it, plug the yellow wire to the switch, but the red one (power one) where do you connect it?

      @BrandonStellmach  ปีที่แล้ว

      It has been a while since I have installed these, but I’m pretty sure I just took the red power wire, and I added a fuse tap to it, and under the the driver panel, there is the fuse box, and I found a fuse that was came on with the accessory power, so that way every time you shut your car off they would turn off as well.

      My car also had the original harness, but the problem with that is the car doesn’t have the proper switch for them. Which would be the turn signal stalk with fog lights on them.
