    Really interesting video. Imo the best mod you can do in any car is a great set of tires and a good suspension system

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do agree with you!
      You can probably get a decent set of tires for around 1k, and wheels would probably be another 1k. So unless you bought some used wheels and tires. 1k wouldn’t get you much.

      huuuh !!??? this video should be how gain 1000$ after getting your first car. Just strip all the weight and your stock tires and suspension will perform at it's best.

    The oil catch can is actually an awesome idea! Since these engines (2ZR if I remember correctly) are really oil picky due to an issue with the piston rings (a change in properties mid lifespan in the engine), either you change it every 5,000 miles (yes, even if it’s synthetic) or you will start to have oil consumption issues. So just a way to keep the oil a little bit cleaner so the engine can outlive us like toyota’s do.
    The car care nut channel has a really good video explaining the whole Toyota and low tension rings issue.

    • @justinmike2zrfe
      @justinmike2zrfe ปีที่แล้ว

      this is very true i would almost recommend any car to put an oil catch can in their car especially newer cars

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think it should be added from the start!
      But changing the oil every 5k is exactly what I do. Want this engine to last a very long time!
      But I have seen the car care nut, he is for informative when it comes to Toyota engines!

    How much of a difference does turbo make in corolla? Peesonal opinion please!

    • @BrandonStellmach
      @BrandonStellmach  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      So with the base tune I have, which is around 7PSI of boost the car feels pretty good.
      One thing I can say is you still don’t have much low end power because your relying on the normal engine, but once the boost kicks in, it makes a big difference in power and feels really good. And that is also which a worn out clutch that is slipping a little under decent accelerations.
      Hopefully when I get the car on the dyno we can tune the lower end of the engine a little bit, and try and get a little more power.
      But all in all it’s been a great upgrade, but the cost starts to add up once you realize you need many other things then just the turbo.
