Upload more. Nice to see someone making content on a corolla
I definitely will be uploading more!
Just scooped up an 09 Corolla and your vids are gonna help me with modding it.
However, a minor critique on editing: Your spoken segments are at a far lower volume than the music.
Otherwise they're great and informative.
Also: Have you considered using posi-taps if you're worried about stripping back wires?
I’m glad my videos could help you out!
And I will keep that in mind, because I’m never sure if it’s to loud or not, while editing.
I have not heard of posi-taps I will defiantly have to look into them.
Thanks for the tip. Im very pleased with how they look
Thanks for watching! I am glad you liked the video!
Reminds me of Euro-spec rear fog lights.
👍😎👍
Yes! Very inspired by them!
I know I'm a little late but yeah they look really good !! I bet they look really good at night also
These looks great at night! They give the rear end a much nicer look with the lights on!
NEW SUB🔥🔥
Thank you for the sub!! 👍
I loved your work, where to get the plug and play?
Thank you! 🙏
And the link for the lights and the plugs are both in the description. I ordered the lights from eBay, and the plugs from Amazon.
Is the extra wire necessary if I just want to use it as a brake light and not have it lit up otherwise? Also, what would I search up on Amazon for the red wire?
Yes because the wire that comes from the lights is not long enough to reach the tail lights.
Here is the link to the wire I used: amzn.to/3RAaAvN
@@BrandonStellmach Thank you so much!!!
If I can't do that, where would I get it done with quality like you did
I would call any automotive shop. They should be able to help you out!
The wires do matter, red to green/white, white to solid green
I did not know, I must of got lucky when I wired them! Thanks for letting me know!
@@BrandonStellmach yeah ran into that when they where just solid lit up 😂
@@YungSteambuns 😂 I guess the wires do matter! But it does make since now that you mention it, because one stays on and the other only comes on with your brake, and they are both difference brightnesses!
Nice
Thank you!! 🙏
Great vid
Thank you 🙏
was just wondering if I hook up just the red and black wires to my 3rd brake light, they would still work, dont want them on when the lights are on, just when I hit the brakes.
Yeah you could hook it up like that, you would just disregard the 3rd wire so it’s not on constantly!
@@BrandonStellmach by the way I got lucky removing the nuts from the reflectors, came right off, thought for sure Id have the same problem you did.
That’s great to hear! Mine were a pain to get off! Hopefully your install went smooth.
Where did u get your machine to splice the wire?
I just used a soldering iron to connect the wires.
Its nice but better for emergency/ flashers.
Yeah it would be nice for that! You could also hook them up that way as well! Instead of putting them to the break light. You can hook them up to the turn signal!
Brandon! Can you just get power (or connect) the wires from the bumper brake lights to the taillights from each side? Does that makes sense? Like right bumper brake light gets power from the right taillight and the left bumper brake light gets power from the left taillight and just use wire T taps?
Thank you for your video!
Yeah you can definitely do that as well! I just found it easier for me to wire tap into only one tail light. And splice them together! Rather then tap into both tail lights
@@BrandonStellmach thank you!
Also, do you know what’s the wire color order for each function?
Thanks again!
It’s been a while since I did this, I don’t remember. I believe I tested each wire to see which one got 12 volts when I pressed the pedals.
Brandon! I bought some of this for my Corolla 2013 but those are different. Mine comes with 4 wires (White, Yellow, Black, Red) I just don’t know where to plug the black one to which is the ground. Any recommendations?
I have seen some of these that come with a turn signal wire hook up. Maybe that’s what the yellow wire is for.
But the best way to check which wire is for what, I would assume black is ground, and just use the battery terminals, and touch the black to the negative terminal, and touch each wire Individual to the positive and see what they do.
And that should help figure out which color does what.
And on the tail light you should be able to find the negative wire. I believe it was black, if not, it most likely will have a black line through it for negative.
Those lights look like quite a cool and useful modification! Seems like they would aesthetically compliment or echo the fog lamps on the front end as well
You have inspired me, just ordered a pair! They do look quite nice and not an expensive mod either!
They are a great addition to the car! And bring the rear of the car all together.
And that’s awesome, I hope you like them!
@@BrandonStellmach Finished my install and the lights look great!
I realized while planning my wiring that you can get both blinker and brakes if you use a 4 pin trailer harness (which I already have installed on my corolla for my class-1 towing hitch). That was the icing on the cake for me, absolutely love them!
Thank you so much for sharing these videos!
That’s awesome! I never thought about using a trailer harness to get both brake and blinker. Might have to change mine up in the future!
👍👍
👍
love from pakistan
Thank you for your support!!
People that say you have too many brake lights, tell them well thatd be true if people would pay attention when theyre driving.
Exactly, I couldn’t agree more! If people actually paid attention we would never have to worry about this! 👍
Plz reply to this comment Brandon how many 3 pin waterproof connector u ordered?
You are only going to need 2 of them. But I just prefer a pack of 5. I have the link in the description for the connectors if you are interested!
So if i put 1 as quantity on amazon i will get a pack of 5 connectors?
@@faaygoo yes!
By law you still have to put replacement reflectors on the car ,so it can be seen when it’s parked up at night ,
Litt
Thank you! 🙏
I so much like it you r a good baby
👍 👍
@@BrandonStellmach can you teach how can I open the whole bumper the back one I Also want to fit that lights but I have the newest model not your I mean model 11 to 13
@@shareefmunda431 the 10,5 gen corolla also has reflectors that are rectangular, I’m pretty sure they make something that will fit just like these ones but for the same shape you have!
@@BrandonStellmachanyway thanks for such a kind hearted video especially I like it brandon
Thank you! 👍
Reflectors are there for a safety reason, works when car is parked
Does these lights have reflectors, else it’s a waste mod
They do reflect light back when the car is off. But not as direct and bright as the original ones.
Let’s go Brandon 😂
😂 Let’s go!!
