you stripped that bolt just for us? I feel soooo special now😝😌
Haha yep!! I had a spare bolt for it so it worked out.
Whoa, dude. When you say "strip" and "screw" in the same sentence, my mind wandered.
Thanks for this. Was about to give up on a stripped Phillips screw on my clutch cover. Used a torx bit and out it came!
Brilliant solution w the Torx bit. Had 4 stripped Phillips in a Japanese dirt bike engine. Tried JIS impact driver on what were already badly damaged screw heads. Used your tip of banging in a torx bit w hammer to get it well seated and all 4 came out. Awesome tip!!
Brief and to the point video, well done!!!
I’m yet to try these, but this has given me hope and a solid place to start. Also, very good production values. I’m a fan already.
Hey! This one worked for me, after I tried all those other "specialty" removers like SpeedOut, Grabitz, etc. and even tried rubber bands and sandpaper (as suggested in another video). Just hammered in the torx bit, attached the heavy-duty hand grip, applied a little pressure while turning, and out it came! Like it was made for that purpose. Thanks, man! Great tip.
I had couple of stripped hex bolts...hammered in the Torx bit, they came right out! Thanks for the tip bro!
Pretry sure the worst nightmare is actually a snapped bolt. Thats no fun.
m1ke2001 I've done that to my oil drain plug 😫
Me too. That fucking sucks D:
I've done that on my transmission oil check bolt on my Honda, wasn't fun, the way i removed the threads was unscrewing it with a nail lol
when the exhaust bolt snaps right in the fucking head.
I feel this so much my chain adjuster bolt snapped on my Kx125🤦🏽♂️
Love the torx bit idea. Thanks
Great channel. This is the second video of yours that I watched for working on my old Bike. Cheers. 1972 Honda Xl250
This was incredibly helpful and it worked!!
The soft screws of my 98 4runner's IAC valve brought me here. Thanks for making this video brother 👍
Inspired! Thank you. You have a new subscriber.
Great tips esp. the torx one.
You rock dude. Had a stripped screw on a woodworking planer, cut my finger on the blades trying to remove it and had to have stitches! This was the solution that worked! Thanks bro
Awesome video. I bought a screw extractor that failed miserably. Used this video as a last ditch effort and screw came out with no issue.
You're the man. I always come to your videos whenever im working on my '12 yz450f. Much appreciated moto brotha
Heck yea man! Hats off to you for the support!
you've saved my ass plenty of times haha
Thanks for your tip. I’ve watched a bunch of videos and the only one that worked for me was yours! Thank you!!!!
Torx bit to the rescue. Thanks for the suggestion!
Badass crf. Sweet video thanks
Thanks for the info!
So beautiful and awesome work nice 👍
Sei tornato finalmente i tuoi tutorial sono sempre utili.......un saluto dall'Italia
Ciao! Molto grazie per guardare! Molto altro video a venire.
Brooo thank yoooouuu! It worked for me
thank you so much for this guide, it is the only way i was able to remove bolt off my motorcycle. all other methods didn't work.
Thanks for the video man! Had three bolts stuck holding my rear brake disc on place. With your tips got the disc off, and i was able to replace it.
Subscribed and a big thumbs up!
I appreciate you watching and I'm glad the tips worked for you!!
Love the face you made at the beginning…! Great video..very helpful!!
I bought that Pittsburgh brand Tap & Die Set from Harbor Freight like 12 years ago, and I never used it, don't know to use, though I will be lerning how to now, because I installed a deadbolt lock and the screw heads (Phillips) tripped out. I emailed the company to see if they cn send me some more. Thanks for the presentation bro.
Thank you 👍
Buen video gracias...
Thank you
Amazing bro
Thanks dude!
THANK YOU
Cameron is the man! Haha. Been some great videos lately (as if I expected anything less than great! Lol) thanks as always Cameron. Keep em comin

Thanks bro!! 😎😎💪
Your to the point. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
awesome vid man
Thanks dude! Appreciate you watching
Dude thread files too. One of those tools that is a must have
Huge thumbs up homie on the torque smash lol 😆
nice one
Awesome🎯💯
brilliant
Thanks man im not very mechanical so this helped alot.... glad i watched this otherwise i would of been "screwed" lol but thx tho
Knocking in the t50 helped thanks
Left handed bits are a must as they can catch and turn the bolt loose
Cheers buddy
u r the best ty
I stripped a t45 torx bolt and its on there so tight a drill with a grabbit bit gripped but couldnt turn it. Then i tried the impact hammer with a flathead bit and broke from hitting it so hard. Any suggestions? If its seized that hard would drilling it out and pounding a larger torx bit in be a waste?
Will the torx bit socket work on a totally rounded striped hex bolt. Will drilling it allow the torx bit to fit properly?
Everyone should have an impact screw driver mine has been so useful
What I thought would be an easy replacement has become a pain. domed Robertson (square) screws which screw through the metal plate of am oven baker element. Can't get them off.I noticed you do reply. I have used WD40 but screws are horizontal, tapped with hammer gently enough to loosen without damaging oven wall threads. The Robertson square holes held but I used hand screwdriver and power drill...nothing yet. Now heading out to buy screw extractor, but I also read the comments and many people say very poor quality and the extractor broke.
Another excellent option when these methods fail is the ol' chisel! Cut a notch in the bolt with a dremel on one side of the bolt to create a 'ledge' for the chisel, then just place chisel and hammer away to force the bolt to rotate - this is great for fused bolts where you just need that initial little bit of hard love to force them to let go, then just use whatever method you want to actually unscrew them - flathead in the chisel slot works well for this.
I did this a week ago with chisel
2:59 This worked... You saved me big time
Tip:
Never use more than a 16oz. hammer on an impact driver. You're only trying to apply slight downward pressure as the driver spins. Anything bigger and you're just crushing the bits.
there are also reverse rotation drill bits, which turn left, and bite into the metal until it catches, and then turns it out
life saver
Saved me!!!!
Will this technique work with a regular Phillips head screw driver ?
Torx bit and hand impact
I have one for you that you missed you can buy left hand drill bit and drill the screw in reverse and the screw heat up while drilling and comes out with the screw since you are in the unscrew direction
Nimela for president! U always save my ass bro!
1:36 That's what he said
Love love
Who made the graphics for that bike. Very nice!
I cannot recall who made them, were purchased on eBay a while back.
Thanx cam u saved my ass!
Good tips. My general rule with low grade bolts is if you have to apply more than ~20ft lbs of torque trying to loosen them, get the impact screwdriver. Most of them have attachments for sockets, torx, and philips heads. You literally cant strip bolts this way.
Completely agree, the impact screwdrivers are a life saver.
Still won't come out.
Ive been trying to remove a stripped hex screw for like a week and nothing worked. Tried your tip and drilled it out and hammered in a torx bit and it came right out
What about some stripped bleeder screws? They are flathead and sit flush with the fork caps. I can’t remove them.
Your back
That's right! Thanks for watching man!
Iv got to say Cameron your shit hot at what u do sir. Perfectionist which is how to roll. I hope your in good health my friend & many thanks for keeping it real . Massive respect all the way from Scotlands west coast. Just had to say that bro 👍😎
quality vid
Thanks man!!
Hey man I actually just stripped out 2 bolts on my bike and they are the bolts that hold on the cam chain sprocket, they are Allen bolts and I can't use any power tools to cut it or anything because it will through sparks and metal shavings all in my engine. Do you have any ideas of how to get them out?
The torx bit trick along with applying heat will work.
Cameron Niemela the torx bit won't bite, I drilled a slot in it with a Dremal now and using a big heavy duty screw driver and all my force plus my dads, we can't break it loose. Do you think the bolts might be seized? I haven't tried using a little torch to apply heat, I thought it might damage something do you think it would?
Those bolts have loctite and need heat to free it up
Cameron Niemela ok I'm gonna give it some heat now
what about for stripped brake caliper Phillips head screws?
Your best bet would be to drill out the center and use torx bits like I showed with the hex head. Is this bolt recessed?
Yup those ones are no fun! The torx bits work great on them.
Use a jis screwdriver and they wont strip in the first place. Assuming its a japanese bike anyway.
The vice grips dont work for me cos the hex bolt is that bad its the bolt that hold the exhaust onto the sub frame down the bottom
Just 2 big thats what she said
Hahaha
Tack a nut to it off in less than 30 seconds the heat helps too.
What about hex shape bolts
My screw on my throttle that go on the carb are stripped gonna see if this works
What if .. on top of the screw head being damaged, the screw itself is stuck because of grease that became solid due to heat?
👍🏻
How about over tightened ones ???
The easiest way i found to remove stripped bolts its the cut a slot in the bolt with a carbide disc on a dremmel that way you can just use a big flat head
JIS. Its japanese industrial standard. It looks like a phillips but its not. Very common on japanese bikes, even modern bikes. Carbs are notorious for having stripped screws. Get yourself a jis screwdriver and avoid a ton of headache.
The most annoying thing about dirt bikes is stripped bolts
You look very familiar.. are you related to Devin N.?
Using the correct
Waiting to see how he get an exhaust manifold bolt out
Good quality vise grips also work. Careful or you will pinch your fingers.
such a nice 125
Thanks man!
Both my stator bolts are fkkkedd help
I remember the days before the impact driver....
Thanks
I appreciate you watching the video!
I apologize it isnt the caliper bolts, its the brake fluid reservoir screws. I just got a used bike and I have to replace a lot of bolts and screws on it.
Those I would cut a slot with a cutoff wheel. It's difficult to remove those screws without damaging the cover though.
What about some easy outs Bud? Snap On makes a nice set
Honestly I haven't had much luck with easy outs or reverse drill bits.
Wow I should have done that before I had sold my bow with a stripped bolt!
Yea great video just like all the other 100,000 not one of you have showed how to remove a stripped screw inside an engine case. Ya show me hot to cut a notch when you can’t get in there parallel with the blade.
What about a stripped swing arm bolt
