Another One Bites The Dust went to #1 on both the Billboard Singles Chart and Billboard's R&B Charts, which was a first for any singer/group at the time. Michael Jackson told Queen they should release this song as a single. They did, and the rest is history.
Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara) was a force to be reckoned with!!! Those are synthesizers you're hearing, Mia; something Queen refused to use before this album, The Game. Wish you could've seen them in concert! Phenomenal! Freddie controlled the crowds wherever Queen played. Like I said, sweetie, saw them every year when they came to LA. From smaller venues to larger arenas, Queen ruled the 70s and up to the mid 80s when they did the soundtrack for the movie Highlander. AND---------we were stoned off our asses as reckless teenagers during the 70s. Funny thing about the mid 70s; we could actually smoke weed in the venues and security didn't care! Plumes of smoke filled the Santa Monica Civic and everybody had a blast! Blew our minds. All peaceful, very memorable and fulfilling. Two songs you may also like; Dragon Attack, and Gimmie the Prize. Thank you again for posting and reacting, Mia.🤘😎🤘
This song was written by the bassist John Deacon and it's their most successful single song in the USA ever. John always mocked the guys because they didn't believe he will write a banger and he did it. Also, Queen is also the only band where every member wrote a top 10 hit. They're legends for a reason!
Great reaction as usual. Do you want your mind blown? If you want to see them at their best ever, react to the FULL version of the Live Aid concert. Best show you will ever see.
Fun fact: Queen was unsure of wether or not they should release the song and then they had Michael Jackson listen to the song and he encouraged Queen to release the song!
Fat Bottom Girls, Killer Queen, I want it all, Hammer to fall........All great songs performed 🎉by the exceptional Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Brian May, and Roger Taylor.
John Deacon the bass player wrote this song. I'm 72 and when I listen to it QUEEN so do my neighbors. And no stupid earbuds, but some JBL L-100 speakers from 1974.
Rip to the legend he was one of a kind his voice was legendary and one of the best show mans you've ever seen Freddie Mercury😊❤🙏 looking gorgeous as always I think out of all his songs that are great night at the Roxbury another One bites the dust somebody to Love and my personal favorite Queen killer leather reactions gorgeous❤❤
I attended many Queen live concerts including their LiveAid legendary performance, and also two nights at Wembley Stadium United Kingdom 🇬🇧 in 1986 where Queen performed to 72,000 people each night, also I was at Knebworth Park in 1986 where Queen performed to around 140,000 people,Knebworth was Freddie’s last live performance ever with his band,Another One Bites The Dust was written by the bass guitarist John Deacon, all the members of Queen have written hit song songs, Queens greatest hits album is still today the best selling album ever in their home country United Kingdom, In their era Queen have performed around 700 live concerts worldwide, and they were one of the first bands to conquer South America, great reaction thanks 🙏
Bohemian Rhapsody is queens most famous song (there was an Oscar winning film of that title about the band only about 5 years ago) followed by don’t stop me now.
This is the definition of "Groove", this whole song, in particular the bass, is pure groove. I mean that thing you don't know what it is that makes you move the body everytime the bass plays a note, that thing which becomes stronger when the guitar comes in. This is not a fast song, there's no much sounds, melodies or strong notes, or sounds, but you can't stop moving your whole body! These strange sounds are electric sounds, they can comes mostly from keyboards, sithesizor or electric instruments. A song you'd surely love, psychedelic rock with keyboards, "people are strange" by The Doors. An absolute must to react!
Two facts for you. Michael Jackson was a huge Queen and he persuaded them to release this song as a single in the USA. Second fact is that Brian May (lead guitar) built his guitar with his father out of bits and pieces as he couldn't afford to buy one and he still plays it today.
I love Jazz. I love Classical and instrumental version of Hip Hop songs. I don't think I have even seen a Jazz reaction pop up. You could make them a thing. Lol
Love your reactions. You really are depriving yourself when you don't react to their live performances. You would absolutely flip over them performing "Somebody To Love" in Montreal & their epic "Live Aid" show. The way Freddie commands the crowd is unmatched. Greatest frontman in rock history!!!!
If you enjoy jazz, check out the U.K. band Jamiroquai (huge in the 90’s) they helped bring acid jazz to the commercial music scene. (Acid jazz = super funky with a jazz core) Start with ‘Space Cowboy’ or ‘Blow your mind’ the bass and the rhodes keyboards will give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside 😅 Vocalist and songwriter Jay Kay has a very soulful voice too and can certainly bust a move or two 🕺
My first ever favorite song. IDK what year it came out, but I was 3 years old rocking out to this. I called it "Another one Bossdoss".lol I could barely talk, but this was my jam.💯
When Michael Jackson heard this song, he had to talk Queen into releasing it as a single, telling them it would be a hit. MJ wasn't wrong as it is to this day their biggest selling single.
Great tune, brilliant John Deacon song. Utter legends indeed, they have a bunch of great songs, for some head banging Queen, try Hammer to Fall, total banger that Metallica does a great cover of. Enjoy beautiful, hot and lovely Mia! 🔥🎵🎸🎤🎸🎶🔥
All of "those sounds" you were loving are Dr. Brian May on his Red Special guitar. He was so good at making unusual sounds with his guitar that one music critic commented after the release of one of their first albums that he did not like synthasizers, but if you were going to use them, then Queen had just demonstrated the only acceptable way to do so. This led Queen to include the disclaimer on their earlier albums that "no synthasizers were used in the production of this album."
another frontman you might like is Diamond David Lee Roth from Van Halen 👍 check out the official videos for Panama, Hot for Teacher, Unchained or even some of his solo stuff Yankee Rose (extended video), I'm Just A Gigalo I Ain't Got Nobody, California Girls 😎
My favorite Queen song is ironically a fast one as in it sort of created a whole genre called speed metal or thrash metal, it's called, "Stone Cold Crazy."
If you want to see Queen live you must check out their 1985 performance at Live Aid. One of the greatest live performances of all time. Although it's often claimed that Rapper's Delight samples this song's bass riff, that's not the case. Rapper's Delight does sample another song, but that's Good Times. Good Times DOES have a similar bass riff, which inspired the riff in Another One Bites The Dust. If you enjoy jazz, check out Duke Ellington's performance of Diminuendo in Blue and Crescendo in Blue from the 1956 Newport Jazz Festival. The set by Ellington is legendary in the jazz community, and it ACTUALLY almost caused a riot in Newport. Paul Gonsalvez's tenor solo is EPIC (though I play alto, and prefer Johnny Hodges and Charlie Parker). You don't see a lot of jazz reactions, so that would be a fun change of pace.
Queen was known as a rock band in the 70's... And then in 1980, Queen went through a transformation... 'Another one bites the dust' was a disco song w/ synthesizers & effects (which Queen refused to use prior to this record) and it became a #1 pop single across the world... Written by bassist John Deacon. Also, Freddie Mercury (lead vocals) of Queen appeared w/ short hair and a mustache... and female fans were not keen on that image at the time. Unfortunately, Queen's rock fans in the USA were not happy w/ the pop direction that the band took in the early 80's... When Queen toured N. America for the last time in 1981, the venues were reportedly partially sold and their 1981 pop album 'Hot space' was a commercial disappointment. When Queen released the album 'The Works' in 1984, it got a huge reception worldwide but in America, the album failed to sell gold (half million copies) and Queen never toured the USA or Canada again... as their last tour was in 1986. Freddie Mercury was diagnosed w/ AIDS in 1987.
Oh and as Far as this Song Freddy didn’t want to release it because he thought it would piss off his fans because kinda like a funk song not rock but Michael Jackson convinced him to release it
A few great suggestion that I highly recommend is Kamelot: Liar Liar ft. Alissa White-Gluz, Starship: We build this city on rock 'n' roll, Wild Again and Nothing's gonna stop us now. But other than that, a great reaction to one of the top legendary bands that still to this day brings people together. Continue reacting to amazing artists/bands and I'll be sure to give some great suggestions to you. Have a great day.
Yeah. I totally agree. This is their best song. One of the best songs period. I AM glad you listened to other songs by Queen, before this one. It may have been a LITTLE let down the other way around, even though they have many other great/good songs. Check out, maybe, “Hammer to Fall, “Somebody to Love”, or “One Vision”, if you haven’t already

If you decide on the Gummy thing, you have to do "Dreamweaver" by Gary Wright. You will feel high without them. Imagine what you will feel like with them.
7:39 That sound is Brian’s guitar. Not sure exactly how but my guess is Distortion, Treble boost, Reverb, delay, Volume knob or pedal, & feedback through the amp. If someone else knows for sure what he did, I’d like to know too.
Hi there kiddo!. This "noice" you mean were made by a Oberheim OB-X analog synthesizer (for more features details, if your interested, google it. This was the first time Queen used a synth device in an album; which was considered a breakthrough in the band's way to make music. Keep on diving into the the old time music; you'll be delighted and amazed by the variety of genres and performances you unfortunately won't find in today's music. Big kiss alongside my blessings, you're doing just fine .
In my opinion the greatest male singer and frontman of all time. Sadly passed away Nov 24th 1991. 33 years in 2 days, but will live forever
Another One Bites The Dust went to #1 on both the Billboard Singles Chart and Billboard's R&B Charts, which was a first for any singer/group at the time. Michael Jackson told Queen they should release this song as a single. They did, and the rest is history.

The lead singer name once again is Freddie Mercury. I love that queen song because at the end of the game we kick the teams ass we play that song!😍🎶
Even though this song is from 1980, it is still played in discos today. 🌺
You haven't lived until you've sped around an indoor roller-skating rink with this song blasting.

Great choice
I’ve never really listened to classical or jazz you’ll have to get me into it babe see if I like them
I'm down for that Marijuana Mia ep 😂 it really does enhance music
"That sound" is the synthesizer or electric keyboards.
If you want fast, Slayer is a great option. Postmortem/Raining Blood. It's a metal must.
They did not use synthasizers in this song.
Freddie Murcury was a strange dude but Damn was he talented. Legendary performances his whole life which ended WAY too soon. Huge loss to the music world.

now u catchin on to what we miss in music creativity and you see pple hating on Tyla who like you love the old xul vibes
That sound was a low note hit on a piano and recorded, then added in backward with some effects.
You must look at queens live aid performance. It is long, but it's great.
That was a Jam back in the Day
May he Rest in peace
Calling Freddie Mercury “Fred” like he’s a plumber from Wisconsin is hilarious.

Watch the actual video for “Bohemian Rhapsody” from Queen. It will blow your mind. 🤯
You need to watch their video of "Fat bottom girls". It was written by the lead guitarist.

Take a gummy and listen to the Dark Side of the Moon album by Pink Floyd and play Wizard of Oz at the same time, they sync up pretty well.
