As the youngest daughter of 5 girls and the 5th of 6th children, I was raised very strict and religious. My dad is a nice man but growing up, he was very strict, proper, and traditional. He's still this way but now that we're all grown, he slowed down a lot. Either way, one of the reasons I wanted to wait to get married was that I grew up so strict. I needed a long break from male leadership before I got married. I knew a Biblical marriage meant submitting to my husband. I was no where mentally prepared to living by my father's rules to another man's rules. Now that I am 34, I am ready to do that. I have been ready for the past year. It's ironic because the man I am dating is very strict, proper and traditional like my father lol.

When you said "20's were full of sacrifices" that's how I feel rn, I'm 25. Had my daughter in college and it's been very challenging, but I see how and still learn how God uses these times to build my character and draw me closer to him
I think the issue many have with the word submission is that unfortunately that word has become warped & misused in society to abuse or treat women as inferior/insignificant. It’s become perverted through history. More need to do a better job teaching on BIBLICAL submission and the beauty of it.

I'm currently in my sacrifice phase. I left my job and leaving everything behind to go back to my mom's place and start everything over. I am also going to take care of her since she lives alone, and my goal this year is to become closer to God and be able to be obedient and hear the Holy spirit.

Oh yeah, also many times guys can see things in other guys that women are not able to pick up on. Sometimes the father/brother or friend of the woman end up wrong and the guy turns out to be a pretty good guy, but a lot (if not most) times they're right and the guy ends up abusing and/or leaving the woman and she ends up with a broken heart. So yeah, I take guys a lot more seriously now than I did in my 20's.
