Ellen has been one of my faves for quite a while too - from her Carson days. I spotted her early on as a standout standup comedienne. I don't understand why she didn't get an Oscar or at least a nomination for her voice-over work in Finding Nemo. It is her spirit which embodies the wildly popular Nemo. And she's a terrific dancer! :>)

She is so pure, through and through. You can tell what a huge heart and kind demeanor she's always had- even at the young age of 27 on a huge show such as this. I can only imagine what this was like for Ellen. Ever since she became serious about being a stand-up comedian, her dream was to get on the Johnny Carson show and be asked to sit down, which was pretty much the best thing that could happen to a budding comedian's career. I wonder what she felt like when her dream came true and he invited her to sit down, the first female comedian on the show to achieve that.
the whole story of the fleas, has a dark background. she was living in this miserable little appartment, infested with fleas, and strugling with the loss of her love partner, who died in a car accident. and there she was, all alone, with nothing but fleas. and yet,, she manage to use that awful experience to turn it into comedy. that´s talent.
octopibingo since everyone knows she is a lesbian, is evident that i meant her girlfriend. i said it like that cause it was not just a "girlfriend", it was much more than a girlfriend. it was a meaningful and serious love relationship. the two of them were in love. so, yes, the dead lady WAS her love partner.

Pretty sure it was Joan Rivers who was the first woman to be asked over first...but your right it definitely did mean he really liked you ...and it was the big door opener to be on the Johnny Carson show, the exposure was a big giant step upward..however, sadly Ellen has the same platform now as Johnny & could so easily pay it forward...& it appears she never does anything to help out other struggling comedians newbies...kind of interesting how fast these ppl forget where they came from & who helped them along the way...seems to me it would be good karma credit to pay it forward to up & comers.

I'm glad I watched this, she has came a long way, so so so proud of her. Very humble, and thats why she gives back so much to people. Being an actor/comedian is something I want to accomplish in this life and this has inspired me in ways I cant even describe. She's quick, witty, funny, I think she just taught me everything I need to know about this industry.
Much Love
Ellen has been one of my faves for quite a while too - from her Carson days. I spotted her early on as a standout standup comedienne. I don't understand why she didn't get an Oscar or at least a nomination for her voice-over work in Finding Nemo. It is her spirit which embodies the wildly popular Nemo. And she's a terrific dancer! :>)
And those blue eyes!!
???????
Anthony King you are absolutely right!!! I love her, her humor has always been original and different. Hilarious!!!
Yes Anthony you are right. You're wonderful nonjudgmental person. We need more like you in the world
Who's here after/during watching Ellen's Relatable special on Netlix???
Lol, me!
On it now
Lol I am. The special should have been called Predictable
Lol! Me!
Yup! Amazing how far she's gone. Love her!
First and only woman to be invited over by Carson. Legend.
Joan Rivers is rolling in her grave.
Joan Rivers: Hello?
I’ve seen this before but knowing how sad and low she was feeling at this time in her life, living in a flee infested basement and she got on stage and killed it made herself famous and did it with so much joy she inspires me so much 😭❤️
Hi Blair. I love you.
Blair Waldorf-Bass it’s amazing to know these celebrities backstory, it makes you want to get off your ass and change your life around for the better.. so inspirational, I never knew this info about her. Thank you
She had a dream: to host the Oscars.
Now she does not want anymore. Hosting a Oscar not only put your career and name at risk if you performed bad but stressful also. Plus they only pay 12k for the act. For us big. For them miniscule.
@@ontengh6599 Ellen made a joke about her dream to host the Oscars, photopicker references it, yet here you are launching into some sort of analytical tripe. Your idiotic guess as to what they pay to host the Oscars is wrong, by the way, as is your even more idiotic guess as to the risk to name and career. Try to stay in your lane,
photopicker to be a billionaire, win the medal of freedom, have her own talk show, be a household name, be loved for exactly who she is and she made them all come true ! 😭
@@blairwaldorf-bass8180 she is rich. but not a billionaire. Oprah is a billionaire.
And her dream come true
She is so pure, through and through. You can tell what a huge heart and kind demeanor she's always had- even at the young age of 27 on a huge show such as this. She presented herself with such grace and poise in the interview, and massive confidence in her standup. I'm so happy she worked as hard as she did. The world wouldn't be nearly the same without her. Bravo, Ellen!
+niina Yeah...never liked her comedy, but she sure comes off as a kind soul. If I had to the chance to go out for lunch with her, I totally would. No questions asked.
+niina The world would be even a better place it there were many Ellens!! She's is simply perfect, always tactful, always classy, never out of place, never vulgar. It is a great time to be alive because we have Ellen :) :)
Those were the best years of my life watching Johnny, and everybody else in entertainment.
Absolutely 💯

Holler at me sometime.
SethBlizzard Actually, the first female comedian to be asked to sit with Johnny was Joan Rivers.
No, she was already a famous comedian.
the first female ever asked to sit with Johnny was Tiffany, age 14, his next door neighbor and sitter.
SethBlizzard I thought Joan rivers beat her to it
Sara Ludwig actually Ms. Rivers herself credited Carson for her career. She was working before but struggling.
She’s scared as hell
But cute as always
And so bloody untalented and certainly not funny..Wtf
@@apolloton1 c'mon dude why do you got to be such a bitch, this is her first time being a comedian, and she even has her own show and people love it.

@Boom Chakka Chakka I am and I still wonder..
Excellent timing on the God conversation.
yea that was brilliant
I love seeing this after seeing her tell Jerry in “Comedians in cars getting coffee”, about the story of her first appearance on Johnny Carson.
the whole story of the fleas, has a dark background. she was living in this miserable little appartment, infested with fleas, and strugling with the loss of her love partner, who died in a car accident. and there she was, all alone, with nothing but fleas. and yet,, she manage to use that awful experience to turn it into comedy. that´s talent.
Love partner! Now that's a good joke.
octopibingo since everyone knows she is a lesbian, is evident that i meant her girlfriend. i said it like that cause it was not just a "girlfriend", it was much more than a girlfriend. it was a meaningful and serious love relationship. the two of them were in love. so, yes, the dead lady WAS her love partner.

No worries. It's merely a joke.
Most states in the US have issued stay at home orders.
As a result, non-essential places such as television studios have been shut down to keep people from gathering in close quarters.
There are even limits on the number of people who can be in a store at any given time. Those limits are MUCH lower than the already established limits set for fire safety and structural capacities.
To keep the show going, some are streaming from home.
Ellen made a joke on Twitter about her staying at home had nothing to do with an arrest warrant out of Florida.
She has no warrant. lol

Ellen is amazing 😍
Pretty sure it was Joan Rivers who was the first woman to be asked over first...but your right it definitely did mean he really liked you ...and it was the big door opener to be on the Johnny Carson show, the exposure was a big giant step upward..however, sadly Ellen has the same platform now as Johnny & could so easily pay it forward...& it appears she never does anything to help out other struggling comedians newbies...kind of interesting how fast these ppl forget where they came from & who helped them along the way...seems to me it would be good karma credit to pay it forward to up & comers.
