Notice how Sinatra just smoothly sits toward Rickles when they sit down after the hug and they strike up a conversation....and notice how Johnny just lets them go, like they were at a dinner or having drinks at a party.
THAT is what made Carson the best, he knew after the monologue and a few minutes talking with Ed the rest of the show was for the guests and for the audience to enjoy them.

Frank was really mad about something, he throw a bottle of ketchup against the white wall. Like only Don could get away with... Don said "Frank could you pass the ketchup". I'm currently working on a lot of sketch comedy from that era with a concentration on Tim Conway, Bob Newhart, & Dean Martin. Here is the playlist I'm adding comedy from this era - goo.gl/WJZ2kD
I plan to focus more on sketch. Sketch quality overall from the 50s-2000s available online is so poor quality. With so much content flooding in from everywhere, sketches from Dean Martin, Carson, Fridays, Laugh In, are plenty more are just getting lost, & it's tragic. Thank God for Carol Burnett though & Rodney Dangerfield who's work has for the most part been preserved at high quality. So while I'm building my library, & you run out of content on my channel. I really recommend their official channels for really good quality content.
