I got some CW TV vibes out of the costume and to me this Superman suit for James Gunn’s DCU looks like it’s made out of The Guardians of the Galaxy outfits in the MCU and Peacemaker suit from The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker series
I really enjoyed Tyler and Brandon’s CW costumes. I just wish James would either go fully retro or fully modern because I don’t particularly connect with this costume. I’ve never seen such a baggy fit for Superman. Maybe it will grow on me with time.

The suit is baggy for the same reason Black Panther and Spider-Man had baggy suits behind the scenes of Captain America: Civil War. To give the actor (in this case, David Corenswet) the breathing room that previous Superman actors would've loved to have. It's baggy ON SET. It'll be tighter come post.
I could understand that if he was doubled over but as you can see in the video he has massive folds just standing up while Henry was able to move freely with far less bunching. I think if the material wasn’t so thick it wouldn’t look so odd. Andrew had a suit with wrinkles when he moved but that suit looked skin tight and thin so the wrinkles weren’t enormous. All in all opinions won’t matter until a proper trailer reveal or shot of his suit in action with color grading and so on. 🤷♂️
That’s something people don’t understand. These actors wear the costumes for hours at a time so comfort is very important. People need to stop being so hyper critical. The movie is far from being complete. How many of these critics will be saying something different next year when the movie comes out

Its not spandex or tights people, its a different take on costumes as a modern times, take a look Wolverine and Deadpool, Wolverine suit is the same but no one points that out because there's no controversy and a fan division there. Wolverine suit is baggy on the bottom and do not form fitting on the top it looks like he's wearing a bulletproof vest and if you see in the animation is all Spandex and tights

Henry has the superior suit but I feel like David will be the superior Superman. Henry's Superman suffered because of Snyder's awful vision. We didn't need Emo Superman we needed the beacon of hope and optimism. I'm so tired of Superman being edgy and evil it's boring. We get Evil Superman more than regular Superman and it sucks. I see why Henry prefers Joss Whedon's version he actually played Superman in that movie.
I think they are the same suit, maybe the official look is from after a big fight and the pictures are from before a fight (although, that doesn't explain the change in texture) But, both are garbage. It also doesn't change the fact that in the official look and the pictures, it looks like Peacemaker's costume spray painted blue and it doesn't change the fact that the belt looks like actual plastic. I think Mr Terrific looks ok, but he looks too skinny. Mr Terrific might be a genius, but he isn't skinny. Though, maybe it's because of the oversized jacket. David only looks like Superman from certain angles and i digress from that, but overall, pretty disappointed in what we have of this movie so far.
