From Mecha, to world war II, to fantasy and to post-apocalyptic, and age of sale, all of the song of series does a great job. Wonderful little skirmish war game rule set
I've been playing it for years with a few house rules, it's one of the simplest and most effective game systems I know, for beginners, connoisseurs and very good evenings. thanks for the video !
Excellent video! Low Quality units need a Leader to help out (+1 to Quality within Long and LOS of leader). Great game and SBH is always a blast to play.
"I-Go-You-Go" in miniatures games is more or less the only way to make the players' decisions meaningful, to force them to plan ahead, to consider options, pursue their battle plans etc. An "Overwatch" rule (i.e. an ability to shoot at a moving enemy) is probably a maximum one can add in terms of "interactivity" without taking away all of the above. Alternative activations very quickly lead to battles splitting into individual skirmishes all over the battlefield, making it probably quite realistic (most medieval battles played out exactly like that), but fairly boring as a game.

This is my favorite squad-level skirmish game.
Great to revisit song and blades of... Thanks for the video. My favorite is Mutants and death ray guns.
I love the whimsical look of your terrain. This was a great video. One of my favorite systems. Glad to see so many new sessions on the channel.
Good to see this back again. Been using the Napoleonics version for a while and happen to have just bought a copy of the original.

Rogue Stars is the game that uses his mechanics. It's got a good scenario generator and you've shown it on your channel before.

I love this game! The Advanced rules are one of my favorite!
You're correct, Of Gods and Mortals is also by Andrea Sfiligoi.
Great game and rules set. Thanks!
Are we gonna see a return of the Spanish civil war on the channel?
After eye surgery. I can't add any new figures to the collection until then. Believe me, I am chomping at the bit.
Have you thought about Advanced SOBH? It provides traits and reactions to failed rolls (instead of only turning the turn over)
*laughs in Hintervale*

Any plans to add to your 10 mil forces? They are very affordable.
Not until I xan paint them.
@@TheJoyofWargamingyou'll get there.
AND, just had Pendrakens newsletter with tempting chaps like AA's Octopods, Octari. I'm fiercely resisting a new scale, but honestly!
Great game!! I really like the SoBH system!!! Where did you get your miniatures and your scenery?
It's a pretty eclectic mix of Pendraken, Copplestone, and Irregular with terrain from the dollar store (fairy garden pieces) and homemade.
@@TheJoyofWargaming Thanks!!!
