It's actually terrifying. The fact they can throw their voices to sound like they're coming from different directions and change frequencies to sound like multiple animals. They're so incredibly smart. Me and a friend were fishing a river and a pack of them were chasing something. Went from "What's that?" to "Oh shit, oh fuck." Finally ending on "Well, I just shit my pants. How about you?"
Grew up out in the backwoods of PA, when you go to sleep with your windows open and then around 3am you hear this out of the dead of night, it’s not something you’ll ever forget.
I once stayed by myself at a bed-and-breakfast deep in the country of Texas, and I went to sleep with only the screen door shut, as I felt very safe doing so, and it was wonderful feeling like I was sleeping in the outdoors, but I was woken very early that morning to what sounded like a large cat growling/screaming outside of the screen door! You can bet I was wishing there was something safer than just a screen door! I did not realize at that time that Texas had mountain lions, but it may have just been a bobcat. Nevertheless, it was scary! 😂 I think I remember just laying still in the bed as I was too scared to make any movement as to not be seen! Luckily, I only heard the cat growl once. I think it must’ve gotten pray and ran off with it. Or, maybe I just had angels protecting me, as that could certainly be the case as well!
Yeah my dogs even know. Specially my golden retriever. He will come running to go in. My small dogs (shih tzus) are usually like eh whatever man I gotta pee. 🤣 animal instincts are wild. 😛
I just heard the worst Blood curdling sound. I looked out the bedroom window and was 4 coyotes out in the front yard fighting. And people are right they do sound like a woman screaming in distress. I live in South Carolina. First time I ever seen them in my yard.
Went to this free campground last summer in this State Forest and I was camping alone in a tent there was one other family camping there and me. 3AM hits and I hear this sound howling and yipping and yapping in unison at the other end of the campground. Made my hair stand up on my neck I did not move a muscle in my tent. It was scary as hell.
We’re in an established neighborhood in Plano, Tx . North Tx where many wildlife had plenty of fields to live in. Breed in.. they’re running out of space. There’s a field next to us and on some nights I hear them howling. Makes me miss living in the country.
I live in Tennessee and can tell you they were no further than 100yrds away. We have a pack of 8 or 9 that live down by our creek and by the sound they were danger close...........

Attacking the heal can make it so they can't drive also just grab behind the Achilles, sh it down, all your weight, and they will damage themselves in panic

I think that sounds scary hearing a pack of coyotes howling in the early hours of the morning and dusk

Coyote packs up here in mass sound large but are usually only 3-4 I've read. Sure can make themselves louder!
One can grab the gun, sit down, barrel away, let them dance themselves, another can attack the heal, take him down, hold the hands
They don't have stamina, just hold and wait
They take their trash out too, they won't be able to hear because of the sound of the wheels
