Starting off our list at number 18, we have the 1984 Ford Mustang SVO, a car that announced its arrival with a rebellious roar. The Mustang SVO was Ford’s attempt to blend muscle car power with modern technology during the 1980s. This Mustang featured a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline-four engine, quite a departure from the traditional V8s. The turbocharger added a distinctive whistle to its exhaust note, making it sound both fierce and futuristic. Although not as popular as its V8 siblings, the SVO's unique sound won it a dedicated fanbase. Compared to the classic V8 rumble, the SVO's turbocharged howl was like a battle cry of a new era. The 1984 Ford Mustang SVO proved that sometimes, a four-cylinder could sound just as thrilling as a V8.
