While making the research about this video, I came across a lot resources with contradicting information. This was due to the unclear nature of documentation pre world war 2. So if you find any mistakes, or want to make any corrections, please do so. I will highly appreciate it!
Yes kids the 2019 La Voiture Noire is not the first to rock that name
The black car was build for Bugatti themselfs and was used for shows, testdrives and such. This makes the car a showcase model and (most likely) it would have been used to be a development vehicle with ongoing changes made to it. My guess is that the car had been dissembled before the mentioned trainride and many parts where used on other projects. Bugatti didn't care much about the prototypes, the aerolithe chassis is most likely used for another car and other parts where used on 57374 for example. This would explain why there is some confusion about the chassisnumbers. If the car still existed it would have sufaced by now...
That sounds like a solid theory given that the Bordeaux arrival list mentioned as "automotive materials". I couldn't find the exact list but even mentioning it as "materials" kinda supports it. Only additional thing I can think of is maybe the initial version has an owner after Jean, like Duhoux and perhaps he made some agreements. But again that part is hazy as well.
Imagine seeing these stunning automobiles driving down the road back then. What a sight. Incredible video!
Is this an AI generated voice? Lots of pronunciation errors
Yes, although I've tried to fix it as much as I can it still sounds wrong. I am planning to use a voiceover artist and scriptwriter for the next video
@@DrivingCurb sounds kinda like Christian Bales Patrick Bateman
@@DrivingCurbif you can do this cheaply and more quickly and it ultimately means more videos then I’d keep the ai voice
@@DrivingCurbI can do voiceover work, and I can be a scriptwriter, if you need.
@@DrivingCurb The voice is natural sounding, it took me about 5 minutes to notice. I only noticed because there are a bunch of minor grammatical errors that make it obvious. Try running your script through the free version of grammarly. It will catch them.
disturbing that it took me halfway through the video to find out this was AI
will smith eating spaghetti is getting kinda crazy close. samemate only just noticed this is AI
@@LetsLaberWithMi nah its not AI....maybe if the creator took ALOT of Informations himself and basically made 90% of the script himself.
Seen 57473 at Goodwood FOS yesterday after watching this video a week before. A stunning car in person.
I also saw it there, truly amazing!
This is actually interesting af
Bugatti definitely should launch this very same model with modern technology 👌👌👌 is gorgeous
They already did bro
Your editing is very nice, deserves way more views
Awesome lore, well-made, was looking for an extensive video on this car.
Is that Nocturnal from Lemmino that I hear? Banger choice, even banger video. Keep up the great work!
Fascinating Explanation!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fascinating. Well done video! Keep it up!
It really is a mystery the La Voitiure Noire. Part of me hope it will one day surface but I highly doubt it.
Great video! Keep making them, you gained a subscriber!
Nice video keep making it
I will, thank you!

Keep up the excellent work, and thank you for sharing the beauty of this extraordinary car! Hope you gain more subs from such superbly made videos. I hope the car will be found
Thank you very much for your kind comment!
This was a fantastic watch. Subscribed..
Whichever and whatever happened,, the Type 57C Atlantic is a stunning automobile. I love the example owned by Ralph Loren…it is one of the truly stunning examples of Classic Automobiles!
The sporty body of this car, I’d expect this to be fast
First time I saw a (black) 57SC Atlantic, I didn't knew what it was, but it was the most beautiful car I ever saw! It was in a B-series movie with car thieves, maybe was likely the 57591... Gosh, I'd love a replica: 165/200 hp is nothing special nowadays and cars are way more secure, but gosh, what a design!
That scratched an itch. The perfect rabbit hole
Thank you very much for your appreciation! We work on to find more heirs of Mr. Duhoux and his friends! Coming soon:
- An article about two interesting testimonies concerning possible transport of the car to the USA and/or to Africa,
- An article about the Brondeel Expedition- a trans-Saharan journey to Kongo that Mr. Duhoux participated in.
I am open for questions.
this ai speech bullshit really needs to stop
agreed
THE car not just CAR - AI UGH!!!!!!
The owner of the 2019 La Voiture Noire is nobody ohter than the Piëch family. They have a huge collection and the car is registered to Zug in Switzerland. Cool thing is that the car is still driven very often
that was interesting af
i thought Ronaldo had the la voitre noire but it was prolly the new one but its gone missing too. great editing
As a french, i think you are very good at french words!
The black car is parked in a undergrund facility in Denmark alongside the green car of same period and the Duesenberg Midnight Ghost.
The Duesenberg is not verified original, but the two bugattis was recovered in France in 1986 after being spotted in a farmhouse by a kid on holiday in a nearby house rented by his parents.
I have seen a dark blue “convertible” Type 57 in person, in the wild, it was cool and super random.
Awesome video. Niche car history is great.
I'm pretty sure this car is currently being displayed and restored in the Classics Museum in Hamilton, New Zealand.
6:31 the private collector is Rob Walton btw.
There'd something unnerving about this
I watched with pleasure!
Thank You!
We love low effort ai voice over slop!!!!!
So many errors... 🙄
It feels AI generated content to be honest, very generic, horrific pronunciation, misused words, and every common inaccuracy that is doing the rounds.
The writer (or software) doesn't understand the use of the definite article in English.
I'm genuinely interested, not trolling. Can someone, kindly, point out the errors?
My great grandfather owned a Bugatti (an earlier model) before the war. It disappeared from our garage when they evacuated during the allied bombings of 1943. It has never been found, nor has it ever appeared in shows.
They say if found the 57sc atlantic could be the most expensive car ever.
But I think there is another car that would sell for far more.
Another french car from a different brand that nearly everyone knows about and knows exactly where it is.
But its very very unlikely to ever be seen again.
So what is it?
@@carfreakjim The 1912 Renault Coupe De Ville town car.
Currently sat at the bottom of the Atlantic ocean in the Hull of the RMS Titanic.
There is one off Them in classic carhouse. Lyngby Denmark
So cool
the use of AI is so incredibly disappointing. this video had so much potential. thumbs down
is not just "black car", it is "the black car".
great video!
Wasn't there found 2 or 3 cars in the last years? Or are these replicas?
Whats fith the fifth car? Dark green and located in Hersbruck germany owned by the Dauphin family
great research. too many AI
Bugs... always baffling.
nice video
ah yes the pictures of the greenish type 57 is a magnesium replica build guild of automotive restorers the actaully made a bunch of episodes for a tv show building research going in tiny details like what did the interior looks like as back in the day only like 9 pictures existed of that car and non where of the inside but by luck fragments of the insides where visible in the photos made back in the day mr grainger and hes team did an excellent in finding out which details needed to make that car its a genuin chassis and engine btw as noone knows what happened to the og magnesium car aswell
I want my 16 back
Gotta ask Mate Rimac about this one.
Dang he had 23 and looked 40
@BadChad has one in his workshop
the lost Bugatti is inside the basement of the Bugatti head quarters...
nope, its in a basement. But not at Bugatti headquarters
@@ZypherGraphics im pretty sure its in their basement... im sure they found it... just faking it to give it a mysterious aura...
Count Duku?
Who watching in 1941 wondering where there cars went
Sorry, it is not that this is a bad video but after a while i had enough mispronunciation.
Come on, how hard is it to check pronunciation?!
christiano owns the 2019 la voiture noire
Fork
It is a Fork
This video misses a lot of "the"´s.
My guess, Bugatti hid Most of their cars during ww2 so (n)azis wouldn’t steal the cars. We know of a couple that survived this war this way. Now imagine if the axis did obtain the car, maybe even (h)itlter himself wanted the car.
The Germans army main source of transportation for stolen art / goods was by horse or Train. Obviously too large Top be pulled by horses the car must’ve been transported by trains.
Most If Not all railroads and trains were attacked / destroyed by American air patrols. Undocumented trains…
All speculations, no real evidence. Thanks for reading. Have a good day.
the video itself seems interesting but it really annoys me that it is just a computer voice reading off bullet points which are almost always lacking articles, often times verbs or objects. Often times there are also grammatical errors which are annoying af. I am not even a native English speaker and this annoys the crap outta me and made me stop watching
Z type
I saw the Modern La Voiture Noir in real Life and met the Owner. And if you still believe this: NO! No Ronaldo isn't the Owner 😂 But for the Privacy of the Owner, I will not release the Name of him. 😉
Sure buddy 🤣🤣
It’s me I’m the owner
@@condethegreat774 if you just would know 😂
Please if you’re going to do these kinds of videos, please get the pronunciations right.
Et Ter ree Bugatti no!
Et Tor ray if you must
The car exists, and I know the owner.
Shut up
for sure
Excellent video and research.. One of my all time favorite cars..
no real effort was put into this. its all AI generated
