    Thanks for the video it really helped
    Although the stack was spinning with the bolt at the bottom so it was quite the hassle to get it out.

      Glad it helped. Did you have to push on the top of the fork to get access
      To a lockout that held the center bolt in?

      @@Fixin2Ride-Official- yeah I ended up putting it back on my bike and using ratchet straps

      Yeah those are the Cr85rb shocks which are like the big bike forks. That's why I posted the link for the video of my 06 crc250r fork video. Glad that's helping.

    Is that bottom damping bolt reverse thread? I tried impacting it off but it just spins and didn’t back out at all. If it is reverse thread I probably stripped that bolt.

      Also adding it won’t go back in or come out at all just spins in place

      It's Not reverse threading. Once it's unscrewed you have to yank it out as it's wedged in by an oring

      @@Fixin2Ride-Official- I found the problem! The damper rod just spins on the inside so I made a special tool to hold it from spinning, yours must have not been siezed and came right off

    Dude how do you keep the damper from spinning so you can get the center bolt out???? I’m losing my mind trying to get it out

    • @Fixin2Ride-Official-
      @Fixin2Ride-Official-  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Once you get the center bolt unscrewed all the way, you'll need to push in the top of the fork while the bottom is locked in the vice and put the holder tool over the shagt so you can get to the lockout and then loosen it and then the center bolt should back off.

      @@Fixin2Ride-Official- it won’t unscrew all the way because the damper inside the fork is just spinning. I don’t understand what you’re saying at all? What tool? You don’t show any tool in this video. You just put the fork back together and magically unscrew the center bolt and it pops out. Makes no sense.

      @@Fixin2Ride-Official-dog just delete this video. You’re not explaining how to do this correctly and are clearly leaving out details on how to remove the damper, which is not even necessary unless your fork is leaking from the bottom. Anyway, thanks for nothing.

      The center bolt spins once it's unscrewed and then you have to grab it and pull it out. No reason to get nasty. Sheesh.

      @@Fixin2Ride-Official- i don’t know what fork you’re working on, but on a cr80, once the center bolt is loose.. the damper cartridge has to be held by a tool so you can spin the rest of it off. It’s not held by anything but the inner fork tube. They no longer make that tool to hold it and I’m just saying, the average mechanic could ruin the fork entirely by damaging the damper trying to hold it with a screw driver to twist it off. Go look in the manual, says it all there. For fork seals, no need to remove the damper entirely.

    I just bought a 2003 cr85rb and the suspension need redone all around I was thinking of throwing some stiffer springs in the forks for a 165 pound rider what rate would you recommend

      Not sure in that. You can find calculators online on the big suspension sites.
